Is there any HD texture pack released yet? I'm sure someone has been working on them.
Calibrating DAT ASS Next ME game will be a prequel or from a different PoV or magic space faries [sp]save/revive sherpard[/sp]...I hope.
I wouldn't mind if they did something similar to what FEAR did with protagonists. They had a main one they referred back to when major shit was going down, but interspersed with that dude there were other people keeping the plot alive and in constant motion. I mean, that main dude doesn't have to be Shepard [sp](especially since in most people's games he's either intergalactic Kim Jong-Il, dead, or very very nearly dead and stranded on Earth)[/sp]. But if ME is going to continue, I'd like for there to be a solid main character with other protagonists to keep him/her from getting boring.
Mass Effect is the only series that I've played that makes me actually sad to know that it has to end somewhere. It's such a fantastic universe they've created, it's a real shame to see it go after only three games. I mean, there are still some chances for a 4th game in the series, but it's looking pretty slim.
For me, I think a much better ending would be [sp]if, maybe, the deus ex machina didnt destroy the relays, but the power still went through them. And then, shepard gets picked up by an alliance shuttle, taken to a cruiser off screen. Then, maybe some text or something saying a certain number of years later, showing shepard, living with his/her LI, maybe with a kid or something, showing Shepard finally living a happy, long life away from war.[/sp] I mean, I would love that. But thats just me.
This picture itself confirms that Bioware had a different ending in mind at the start

At home, surrounded by loved ones? Catching a bullet from an old enemy who got lucky? Space cancer? Tripping on the curb and breaking his neck? It's an inevitabilty that Shepard will eventually get killed. If he dies in any way that doesn't benefit at least a few thousand people, he loses what made him special in the first place; that larger-than-life, protagonist-grade heroic nature. You don't see heroes getting assassinated by a cowardly sniper, or falling down the stairs. You see them fighting against the odds to the last resource, dying with their hands around Death's windpipe and furious words trapped in their throats.[/sp]

[sp]Grabbing death's windpipe harder, ripping out his throat, saving billions of people then going home to 'use' his quarian wife's emergency induction port.[/sp]
What's with everyone I know and going on about [sp]Tali Sex[/sp]
Can't really help if I consider her the best LI.
Can't really help if I consider her the best LI.
:v:
I am also in the boat for Tali as best Male LI. I don't like Tali very much, but Ashley is such a distrusting bitch, and I have never felt in any 3 of the games any chemistry between Liara and Shepard.
You know, I don't wanna brag or anything, but I've been playing MP since saturday and two days of grind have looked like this almost every game. I don't know if there are just a lot of new people in this game, but if you're about to play MP and you haven't played Mass Effect before, there are two things you should know. DON'T SHOOT THE GETH WITH ORANGE GLOW, THEY'RE YOUR FRIENDS. More importantly, when the countdown at the end of round 11 counts down, MOVE TO THE FUCKING LZ TO NOT WASTE 10.000 POINTS FOR YOUR ENTIRE TEAM.

It's such a fucking cliche to have the main character die at the end, it's very rarely satisfying and IMO it doesn't really fit with Mass effects general theme. Sure there should be endings where Shepard can die, but it shouldn't be inevitable, and it shouldn't be the convoluted mess we got.

But it seems pretty genuine. The Liara [sp] goodbye scene on normandy and earth [/sp] and [sp] ending flashbacks [/sp] where one of my nearly-manly-tears scenes.

I'm just saying, without that, anyone who would put ten minutes thought into it may be dissatisfied. Maybe you disagree, but this is pretty much entirely a matter of opinion anyways.
More MP tips: if you're a Turian Soldier, don't maximise stability through the Turian Veteran power at the same time as both rate of fire and accuracy for the Marksman power if you're using them both to offset the Vindicator's slow fire rate and moderate accuracy. It will cause the weapon to recoil down instead of putting rounds exactly where you're aiming. Otherwise, take a Locust configured so it can fire as many rounds as possible and you'll be like a moving, friendly Cerberus turret.
Wait a second, for those you had different Love Interests in both ME1 and ME2, what were the consequences? Didn't BioWare say there were going to be downsides to switching partners? Or was that thrown out the window?
Dunno if you followed the Liara romance through all the games in a different play through. But it seems pretty genuine. The [sp] goodbye scene on normandy and earth [/sp] and [sp] ending flashbacks [/sp] where one of the nearly-mainly-tears scenes.
[sp]The ending flashbacks didn't even make sense.[/sp] They're generic for every ending, and don't even include [sp]memories of any of your friends that died during the course of your games, like Mordin sacrificing himself to cure the genophage, or Legion dying to give the Geth true free will. Hell, Shepard's last thoughts may not even be of his love interest if he/she isn't included in the generic list, how messed up is that? I romanced Miranda from 2 onward, and I expected his last thoughts to be of her, smiling or something, instead it was Anderson and Liara and Joker.[/sp] The worst part is how he has completely ridiculous [sp]nightmares[/sp] about [sp]that kid he saw for all of twelve seconds[/sp] yet when it comes to people who he should actually be freaking out about [sp]like Tali, WHO CAN COMMIT SUICIDE, Mordin sacrificing his life to help the Krogan, or Thane dying while protecting Shepard from Kai Leng, the most he hears are whispers. Why is he more traumatized about a boy than the crew members he's saved the galaxy and maintained very personal relations with?[/sp] It just doesn't make sense to me. [sp]Not to mention the huge bombshell revealed three minutes away with the Ghost Machine Kid, with absolutely NO EXPOSITION, but people have commented about that so I wont comment on that.[/sp] Also sorry about the spoiler tags, I just didn't want to ruin it for anyone who hasn't played, and I had a lot to say that involved spoilers.
Wait a second, for those you had different Love Interests in both ME1 and ME2, what were the consequences? Didn't BioWare say there were going to be downsides to switching partners? Or was that thrown out the window?
My Mass Effect 1 romance was Ashely, in Mass Effect 2 I switched over to Miranda, so in three, [sp]Ashely throws a bit of a hissy fit and complains that "she wears armor to battle, not a swimsuit."[/sp] It's very minor, though I guess a consequence of switching partners is that you'll have a harder time re-romancing your ME1 LI. Not a problem to me, because I disliked the ME1 romance options anyway.

Give it all the damage and reduce recharge upgrades. Then you can fire it every 4 seconds. It's like a homing grenade launcher.
So I just finished the game as full Renegade with 8000 EMS. I decided to[sp]destroy the Reapers. I felt bad for the Geth but that's life.[/sp] So the ending cinematic plays. Everything is alright. Still very bumped out[sp]Shepard died. But atleast she sacrificed herself for the billions of people depending on her.[/sp] The last cinematic comes to an end and I'm ready to skip the credits. Only to be greeted by a last cinematic... [sp]When Shepards body took in that gush of air I immediately started laughing out of hapiness.[/sp] So bloody happy with that last cinematic.

This has been posted like 7 times. And again I will say. If all the From Ashes DLC was installed in the base game already, why did we have to download 800 MB's of data?
That's just dumb. I'll be really disappointed if Bioware makes a happy ending. It must be bittersweet.
We said nothing about a happy ending, we want a better ending, not the Bullshit they pulled.
The change the endings group is getting more and more support. Spoilers.
What exactly is expected to happen? A patch? DLC that'll soften the blow? Nothing's going to happen. Even if Bioware can admit they fucked up, the ending just doesn't seem like something they can change so easily. EA's got plans with this shit, or else they wouldn't have let Bioware put them in.
