[sp]FUCK the decision between Geth and Quarians. FUCK IT. Why can't the Quarians and Geth just not be complete arses? Hey, let's just stop fighting cause Reapers gon kill us. I went with code upload, Legion, Tali and all the Quarians died. Whoops![/sp]

Didn't you have enough paragon? They don't have to die. I don't even remember if that was a paragon choice.
Thats not what the video said.
"Demanding a new or brighter ending" Nobody said anything about a "Happy Ending"

[sp]You don't have to pick a side. With enough Paragon/Renegade and storypoints you can make peace.[/sp]
Didn't you have enough paragon? They don't have to die.
[sp]I did. But didn't use it, because I thought it meant the Geth would die too. FUCK SAKE.[/sp]
"Demanding a new or brighter ending" Nobody said anything about a "Happy Ending"
Pretty much implied by "brighter".
[sp]You don't have to pick a side. With enough Paragon/Renegade and storypoints you can make peace.[/sp]
I've gone past it now. Fuck it, I'll live with this.
I plan on entirely replaying anyway, I've fucked so much stuff up, and missed loads of side quests in the first 2.
That's just dumb. I'll be really disappointed if Bioware makes a happy ending. It must be bittersweet.
There's already tragedy in the fact that [sp]Thousands of millions of people were killed during the invasion, multiple planets were destroyed, the Batarians have lost their home, Mordin, Thane and Anderson and other characters dying, and the galaxy pretty much thrown into a state of turmoil.
It'd be okay if there was a bittersweet ending as an option, though, but atleast make an ending that doesn't undermine everything that was done beforehand.[/sp]
Pretty much implied by "brighter".
Brighter does not have to mean happy ending.

..you CAN have them co-exist peacefully.
[sp]I did. But didn't use it, because I thought it meant the Geth would die too. FUCK SAKE.[/sp]
Yeah uh, rule of thumb
If you see a paragon choice somewhere, Shepard will do something fucking awesome and get happy end.

It's generally impossible to fuck up something in any Mass Effect game, if you just follow the paragon options all the time. You will never encounter consequences to your paragon decisions, unless the result is forced anyway.
Not to mention, [sp]I'm pretty sure millions upon millions are trapped within their own or other systems with the destruction of the relays, meaning there will be food and supply shortages due to the face that many habitats use agriplanets to cultivate food.[/sp]
What exactly is expected to happen? A patch? DLC that'll soften the blow?
Nothing's going to happen. Even if Bioware can admit they fucked up, the ending just doesn't seem like something they can change so easily. EA's got plans with this shit, or else they wouldn't have let Bioware put them in.
Well Idunno about you, but I'm voting with my wallet.
No more EA or Bioware games for me.

[sp]Not in the bit extracting the Quarian Admiral guy. His crew died there.[/sp]

[sp]Don't forget all the fleets and ground forces that Shepard rallied up are now stuck in the Sol System, because the relay is gone.[/sp]
I've gotten up to Rannoch right now, havin a blast, meetin old friends, shootin the shit, recoverin assets
But I'm genuinely worried about this ending. I haven't spoiled it but all my friends who are diehard ME fans were absolutely ripshit about how it ends
Both of the Columnists that talk about video games at Forbes are pushing for EA to release a Free DLC, they have been on top of all the issues (Day one DLC, bad endings etc)
I believe Bioware should release a free bit of DLC to all its players, one that produces an “alternate ending” for the game. From a programming perspective, it wouldn’t be much work. It would be probably a few minutes of dialogue, and fifteen minutes of cutscenes. Three sets of five minutes would be devoted to fleshing out each of the final decisions made in the game, and would give players a more hearty ending than the cookie cutter, cryptic one they received.
It seems like a win-win to me. Releasing free DLC would show that they’re not greedy tyrants exploiting the concept of bonus content. Updating the ending with more substance would show that they can admit when they’re wrong, and fans would likely breathe a collective sigh of relief as they got some much needed resolution.
Uhm, weren't people living [sp]without relays[/sp] a looong time ago?
[sp]Not in the bit extracting the Quarian Admiral guy. His crew died there.[/sp]
Sadly yes.
But still, rule mostly applies.
Uhm, weren't people living [sp]without relays[/sp] a looong time ago?
Yeah, but within their own system. Now there's a bunch of Turians on Earth who cannot survive all that long on the food there. And a lot of systems were discovered and populated with the help of the Mass Relays
Uhm, weren't people living [sp]without relays[/sp] a looong time ago?
Relays have existed for as long back as the lore goes. There is no information on anything before, from what i have played and read.
I wouldn't mind if the ending was bittersweet or even totally tearjerkingly downer if it actually made some sense in the context of the game and gave some closure, but currently all the endings achieve is to raise more questions and leave a bitter feeling with nothing sweet in it.
[sp]Don't forget all the fleets and ground forces that Shepard rallied up are now stuck in the Sol System, because the relay is gone.[/sp]
[sp]If you got the Control ending though, the Reapers can probably ferry people to and from their home systems with their advanced FTL drives until they figure out how to rebuild the relays.
I think, if there were better endings straight from release, Control would have been one of them.[/sp]
Now I'm considering whether it'd be worth reloading my only save... Three hours ago.

I don't have a picture, but I can assure you guys I made George Clooney in ME3
and that is why I must get a good enough computer to get all the games on PC

[sp]That's my main problem with it. The emotional impact of the endings is great, but it's still crap when they are nonsensical like that. I would find it very disappointing if Shepard gets out alive. He deserves to die in a fight against the Reapers, not against old age.[/sp]

[sp]I thought that too, but after analyzing the ending a bit more, then either everything after Harbinger's big lazor thing is a hallucination, or their writing department got replaced with monkeys overnight.
Not even just a hallucination, if the theory is correct, then the ending sequence is Shepard's indoctrination process. [/sp]
