[sp]That only destroys Earth not the entire galaxy[/sp]
Now the question is why? [sp] The same energy that hit Earth was spread all over the galaxy through the Mass Relay. I can't think of anything that could survive it. [/sp]
[sp]The war assets you gathered in the now built it, so you didn't build it right with the limited materials you had. [/sp]
Yeah I know but the main design was already done. I guess building it wrong could do that.
[sp]Part of your getting allies is getting people to help build the Crucible, of which the design wasn't finished. Humanity not only had to finish the design they had to build it, so if you have less people working on it its more likely a fatal flaw gets through.[/sp]
Thats quite a flaw if you ask me
They do in every ending.
Source?
The hundreds of speculative posts in this thread and other fora.
Question about the Mass Effect comic. In the comic we see TIM, before he becomes the Illusive Man. And he encounters a Reaper artifact, and sees that one guy get transformed. Was that the point where he gets indoctrinated? Interesting to think about it. He creates a pro-human organization that pushes humans goals, tries to make them the prominent species of the galaxy. The species that the Reapers are interested in the most. So that when the Reapers arrive, there are more humans for them to harvest.
Wait, [sp]Do the mass relays still get destroyed in that ending? Cause if they don't, then that's the ending i'd choose[/sp]
The [sp]Mass Relay are destroyed in EVERY ending. Just because. Don't ask any questions. [/sp]
[sp]I don't get the big deal with the relays not blowing up entire star systems. I wouldn't call it a plot hole. It's the blob of energy that blew up the star system in ME2 was the blue thing while that exact energy changed when the thing did the thing in ME3[/sp] I am terrible at explaining things.
[img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/IMG00114-20120312-1609.jpg[/img_thumb] Excuse the quality, because I have shameful Xbox 360 verison but my Shepard was talking to Miranda [sp]on the Cerberus Base mission[/sp] and my Shepard's eyes were bulging out throughout the conversation.
Hey guys, I just realised [sp] the ending sequence has GOT to be all in Shepard's head, at least in some capacity. The kid is a major factor in Shepard's psyche Wait, unless the Kid is literally God, in which case it's omnipotent-ish. But wait, if it's all powerful, why's it need the reapers.[/sp] Oh god, this makes my brain hurt.
this was painfully obvious to me and appearntly not everyone else

The problem is with the fact the mass relays are destroyed. For fucks sake, how many times do you see a Mass Relay in the mass effect universe? Can you imagine your playthrough without them? Now imagine for every trade routes, every colonies out there, stranded, lost. All ships that were in space while the mass relay blown up will probably be stranded forever, since they'll probably run out of fuel before reaching any civilization. The Mass Relays are the pillars of Mass Effect. The fact they're gone is extremely unsettling, and we have no idea WHY they're gone, it's only a bullshit the child pop out, and with no explanation.[/sp]

In Arrival Shepard crashed an Asteroid into the relay which caused an uncontrolled explosion. [sp] In ME3 the explosion seems to be part of what powers the expansion of whatever effect you chose to happen. Plus its part of breaking the cycle [/sp]
this was painfully obvious to me and appearntly not everyone else
Oh yeah, so you watched the ending and immediately thought : This is all a dream, let's see the real end. Oh wait, there's none.
"They won't see us unless you start singing the russian national anthem" I went to google and started playing it Joker underestimated my stealth skill.
Also, what the fuck was this all about: http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/469738043681418172/849CC3954160DD47C8C878348F12B0FB6F2231EC/?jpg (ending spoilers-ish)
Oh, it's just Liara saying goodbye for the final time.
"They won't see us unless you start singing the russian national anthem" I went to google and started playing it Joker underestimated my stealth skill.
You know the reference hes making right?
[sp] "Shepard, I just wanted you to have something" *MAGIC SPACE TRIPPING BALLS SEQUENCE* "thanks Liara...." Me: UM, WHAT JUST HAPPENED?![/sp]
[sp]Well, I imagine it's akin to when you mate with her. Of course, it would've made more sense if you could see some of her youth/history by your own eyes, rather than just trippy lights.[/sp]
[sp] "Shepard, I just wanted you to have something" *MAGIC SPACE TRIPPING BALLS SEQUENCE* "thanks Liara...." Me: UM, WHAT JUST HAPPENED?![/sp]
It's all of her memories, she says it right before that.
this was painfully obvious to me and appearntly not everyone else
painfully obvious after lurking forums and reading other peoples theories on the subject.
Also, what the fuck was this all about: http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/469738043681418172/849CC3954160DD47C8C878348F12B0FB6F2231EC/?jpg (ending spoilers-ish)
[sp]Liara and Shepard, meeting in the next life, I think.[/sp]
[sp] "Shepard, I just wanted you to have something" *MAGIC SPACE TRIPPING BALLS SEQUENCE* "thanks Liara...." Me: UM, WHAT JUST HAPPENED?![/sp]
[sp]Pretty sure you did that mind-melding thing. Which means Liara is pregnant.....?[/sp]
Yeah, except in my save [sp]Liara wasn't my love interest, she was just a friend. Garrus was my love interest. Does that mean I accidentally cheated in Garrus?! FUCK.[/sp]
well in my save they kissed n shit. so i guess it counts
Yeah, except in my save [sp]Liara wasn't my love interest, she was just a friend. Garrus was my love interest. Does that mean I accidentally cheated in Garrus?! FUCK.[/sp]
If you ask her what it is, she says Asari share their memories with ones they are close to, it's similar to bonding but it isn't done for reproduction. It's like in ME1, when she does it to you to see the messages you received from the Prothean beacon.
My main problem with the ending was [sp]why the hell did Joker leave the battle? And how did he pick up the squad mates on the run down the hill? Joker and your team running away does NOT even come close to the characters they have made. I saw all of them dying for the cause of Shepard if it came down to it. And on top of that we don't even see what happens to them after the battle. Really that just killed it for me. Not seeing what happened to these characters they have made, the characters we have followed since the beginning. [/sp]
Also, what the fuck was this all about: http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/469738043681418172/849CC3954160DD47C8C878348F12B0FB6F2231EC/?jpg (ending spoilers-ish)
That scene was extremely disappointing, I thought I was going to learn some deep shit about Liara, stuff from her early childhood, and her whole life all the way to the present time. Nope, just blackness, stars, and some holy light.

Why yes, that is something big.
Similar thing happened to my Ed Shepard. Claiming he's "got a visual" while lacking both of his eyes. (took the screenshot too late, meanwhile one eye magically reappeared)

Is it just me, or did every conversation with Miranda in ME2 and 3, and with EDI in 3 have tons of those close ups of their asses?
