It was there before in ME2, they had to remove it because the consoles couldn't handle the extra 4 MB RAM and the game would become unstable if RAM is closing in on 100% usage. We need a new generation of consoles. The point is I wasted a lot of money on my PC rig, just to suffer from limitations created by other platforms. Best thing would be buying the Xbox 720 next year if it come with an inbuilt blu-ray drive. PC games are console ports anyway.
Uhh, I really don't see why this is a big deal... At all. "I can't put my gun away in a combat zone? GAME IS SHIT."
When the previous two games were capable of it, this is kind of frustrating. It's not a HUGE deal from a gameplay perspective, but it seems kind of stupid to have to cut out a feature that has been present in the previous titles because of the limitations of 7 year old hardware.
But who needs 5000 texts or 900 minutes. I have 500 texts. 150 minutes + 1000 minutes within the network and unlimited internet and I barely use any of it :v: Except the internet.
I have a similar plan and never use it all, but I know people on an unlimited plan. who actually managed to text so much they went over what the contract considered "unlimited".
You're saying that should forfeit a massive portion of their sales to keep a 100% worthless gameplay feature?
When did I say that, ever? I didn't say Mass Effect shouldn't be on consoles, I said that games, ideally, shouldn't be developed on the weakest system and then have the game ported over to the others. In a perfect world, games would be tailored to the platforms they are released on.
Perhaps they added something significant that is much more worth the memory space.
I'd imagine so. Truthfully, I'm just bitter that we have to make ridiculous sacrifices like this all because we're dealing with hopelessly outdated hardware.

I would hazard a guess and say that developing ME3 probably cost between $12m and $17m You have to remember that ME3 is also EA's favoured son. Apart from Syndicate, what else is EA planning on releasing this Easter? EDIT: I'm not saying the suggestion is ridiculous, but this is a business, and has to cater to the demands of a business

I like the say Crysis 2 dealt with the problem. They gave you the console version of the game and just let you download the high res textures and the higher powered shaders if you felt like it.
Why do you think he will appear at all? They even moved main characters and squad mates down to fucking cameos. Sorry I'm a little frustrated about this game. Everything good they do gets kinda canceled out by other changes. I'm try to stay neutral on the subject. Gameplay sure looks superb from the trailers. But choices, do most of them matter at all? That would make renegade the chaotic dumb and paragon the lawful good choice.
That's because most of the choices don't matter. You can select the no story option and still get the best ending in the game with no import.

The source textures are 2048x2048 or higher, and as it stands they're all completely wasted! I don't care if it would be a 5GB patch; Mass Effect with source textures would be ungodly good looking.
So maybe Bioware adds in content pack for free for pc users with high res textures and animations and stuff? I'd be done for that.
So here is my final banner for the next thread if you guys want to use it. My photoshop skills fail for me to create the curved line through "MASS" I have the full PSD file as well. If anyone wants it PM me. It was made in Photoshop CS5 and you need to font "HandelGothic BT"

Sure the Hirez textures would help, but I'd personally be more distracted by the horrible facial animations. There's no emotion anywhere. Especially Miranda, oh god.
You don't know that for certain. I think they might make it so that newcomers get the best possible start for ME3, but people who have ME1 and ME2 saves can have their decisions come to fuck them in the arse.
Yes I do. Second, You just VALIDATED what I said, not the other way around, though in a completely convoluted way.

I'd put the THREAD somewhere in the red area, and make the EFFECT a bit bigger.

I was trying to stay as close to the original logo in porportions as I could I never thought of that.
Why the heck is the PC demo not out yet
Why the heck is the PC demo not out yet
Because it isn't Tuseday.
Why the heck is the PC demo not out yet
Because 14 is bigger than 13 and some people are capable of reading: http://masseffect.bioware.com/about/demo/

Then why are you posting. We have other threads in other sections for talking about feelings and being bored.
I don't know what timezone BioWare uses
I don't know what timezone BioWare uses
Well they're based in Edmonton in Canada which is MST (Mountain Stranded time) -7 GMT But release will probably be determined by EA for the PC version (because of Origin). And Microsoft and Sony will be the ones determining their console release times. I'd say at least early morning EST for a release going by their past release times for games. That is me being optimistic though.
