I'm convinced it wasn't the real ending. Bioware are either going to release the real ending for free (or lods of emone) once they've completed it/an appropriate time of leaving everyone in the dark (and letting people complete the game) has passed and something good will actually happen.
The ending is too bullshit as it stands for it to be the real ending.

It's fucking addicting.
I've cracked open an insane amount of recruit packs (upwards of 20 or so) and I JUST got my Turian Sentinel. So giddy.
And my readiness is actually increasing a fair amount.

[sp]It feels like they just shoved something quickly together to get the game done, just look at the whole picture, the game is brilliant and you do so much shit to prepare massing forces from all corners, and then it turns out it doesn't even fucking matter, all you needed was to get over that specific number.
It's like they intended it to be like in ME2 but just scrapped it and did something quick. They give no explanation at all to what happens after everything is fixed, is everyone stuck on Earth with the entire galaxy being disconnected from each other? Is it still possible to travel around but much more slowly? Where the fuck did Joker crash land that ship and why the fuck is he happy about it? Because as far as I know he was on the run when some explainable wave of energy hit him and he crashed somewhere in the galaxy.
It doesn't make sense when you compare to how well the rest of the story in the game plays out.[/sp]
I think people are complaining about the endings for the wrong reasons, it's not about [sp] surviving with your love interest as per the poll on bsn, it's the fact that what MAKES mass effect ; the geth the relay's and the citadel are gone.[/sp] that's just my opinion, I don't want to not let people have their happy ending I would just prefer a shift in Priorities.

when I told my friend who isn't really a fan of mass effect the endings, he was confused and described it as one of the worst endings he's ever heard

I always looked at Liaras skin in ME3 like an enlarged version of human skin, because our skin is bumpy like that too, at a much smaller scale.
Another really interesting fact about this ending is this;
I've heard people defend the ending before. Fine and dandy.
Have yet to meet someone who is willing to defend the Reapers motivations.
