they are cool non-heretic geth like legion, obv.
Yeah... I'm guessing someone skipped a few ME2 missions, or completely skipped over the dialogue when Legion tells you that the Geth who support Reapers are a minority.
Please Bioware just tell me you are going to fix this shit, don't make met believe this is how the story of Shepard ends after and amazing journey trough 3 games with and awesome story and characters and interesting shit explained like technology and the universe of the game even with all the small details explained in the codex.
You ever noticed how almost all your decisions meant jackshit -Saving the rachni, saving the council etc... in the end, it all gets filtered into one thing. Some dialogue here or there changes.
More like: [sp]Killed the last Rachni? Too bad, you got another one. Hated the old council? Got a new one with different rearranged personalities. Being Renegade meant jack shit.[/sp]
The idea that this is all a [sp]fourth wall breaking idea by Bioware[/sp] that has the players get mad and fight [sp]'indoctrination' in real life[/sp] is growing on BSN. They think at some point Biowares going to be all like [sp]"AH! you win, you all joined together and fought the indoctrination here is what happens next (for free or paid).[/sp] Might even be funny if Bioware actually turns round and says that's not happening.
are you telling me a 6-inch Legion is lame? Because you're a liar
Not at all. They're cool for collectors, I guess. I just mean I'd rather just pay a straight up fee for extra characters instead of buying several of those figures because the article mentions they are randomized. Better yet, they should be fucking free. I'm sick of paying cash for extra maps that take three hours to make and characters that are just body-swaps with reused voices. Multiplayer DLC is always an awful rip-off.
they are cool non-heretic geth like legion, obv.
That'd be confusing as fuck.
Yeah... I'm guessing someone skipped a few ME2 missions, or completely skipped over the dialogue when Legion tells you that the Geth who support Reapers are a minority.
[sp]In ME3 the Geth as a whole join the Reapers because the Quarians destroy their mega-collection of AI. So Legion, and that one Geth Prime platoon, are the only non-heretics left.[/sp]
That'll be the worst decision they could make about this.
This just in:
UPDATE: [sp]Westley Hayes ‏ @WestleyHayes @masseffect Do you think Shepard can become indoctrinated by the Reapers? 57m Mass Effect ‏ @masseffect @westleyhayes Anything is possible[/sp]
I really loved this game right up until you enter the [sp]Geth Collective. Really? Shepard enters a tron style cyberspace? That's like, somthing out of Saints Row.[/sp] And then Cyber ninjas showed up, and apparently Cerberus has a gigantic collection of cyborg ninjas... and I realized Mass Effect jumped the shark.
Why [sp]Did TIM not get dissolved by the lightning but Shepard did? I know TIM was already indoctrinated, but surely they went through the same process? TIM just got a little eye scarring, but Shepards nose dissolved right off pretty much immediately[/sp]
This just in:
Non-answer, but encouraging.
They can still save it.

Just found this, don't know the original source, and there are some points I'd dislike, but it'd be a massive improvement over the current ending(s). SPOILERS ETC Blasto squadmate would be hilarious.

[sp]6b Control - Shepard Renegade By sacrificing yourself, you can selectively indoctrinate the Reapers to follow your will, and become subservient to humanity, who use their technology to enslave all other races in the galaxy. However, in order to target the Reapers exclusively without affecting any other form of sentient life, you'll need to sacrifice yourself to merge with the Crucible's AI and assume direct control of the process.[/sp]
This is what I've been waiting for since the beginning of the series.
Why [sp]Did TIM not get dissolved by the lightning but Shepard did? I know TIM was already indoctrinated, but surely they went through the same process?
[sp]TIM wasn't able to complete the process, I suppose.[/sp]
I want to get a version of that ALIENS meme but with a picture of Shepard doing a smug face and it says "MASS EFFECT FIELDS" I'd use to fill plotholes
Why [sp]Did TIM not get dissolved by the lightning but Shepard did? I know TIM was already indoctrinated, but surely they went through the same process? TIM just got a little eye scarring, but Shepards nose dissolved right off pretty much immediately[/sp]
Eeeh, because TIM never ever reached the crucible?
This just in:
Even worse if they start getting people's hopes up like that and then do nothing. For their sake I hope they're not bullshitting.
Well, we all thought Dark Energy would turn out to be a major plot point and look what happened there
Look at it this way. If Bioware pulls a indoctrination get-out-of-jail-free-card, Dark Energy could still be made into a major plot device.
what is this indoctrination theory anyway?
Look at it this way. If Bioware pulls a indoctrination get-out-of-jail-free-card, Dark Energy could still be made into a major plot device.
Nah, it wouldn't make sense, they'd have to foreshadow it in ME3 as well. They didn't even talk once about it.
what is this indoctrination theory anyway?
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/23995305/Indoctrination%20Theory.txt Spoilers, obviously.
Mac Walters, the lead writer of Mass Effect. Extra hope? https://twitter.com/#!/macwalterslives/status/177981737928892416

I sent my indoctrination theory .txt to him. This could be interesting.
Mac Walters, the lead writer of Mass Effect. Extra hope? https://twitter.com/#!/macwalterslives/status/177981737928892416
Seems more like he's talking about the franchise itself rather than the end of ME3. You know things are bad when biodrones start attacking bioware.
Oh wow I didn't even know about the super secret [sp]Grandpa/kid on Mars[/sp] ending. I can only imagine that if Bioware continued the story through DLC, it would be right after that cutscene, since [sp]the Grandpa says "One more story". Maybe the what happens next story. I don't even know if that cutscene was real or also part of indoctrination, but if it is real then it really means that the relays were all buggered[/sp]
Unless they pull a Broken Steel they are pretty fucked
As much as I am loathe to say it, even if they do pull a Broken Steel it's going to take a lot to convince me to buy another BioWare game. I love their work, a lot, I even got a lot of enjoyment out of Dragon Age 2 and Neverwinter Nights 2. I am very lenient when it comes to games, but even more so with BioWare, they're sort of my pet developer. But say they do make Broken Citadel. Say they offer up the "real" ending in a $10 or $15 DLC. I'll buy it, because I can't let the series end like it did, but after that, after shafting their customers for another fistful of dollars, our client-business relationship, running well over a decade, is over. Unless they pull off something incredible, I won't be able to justify buying another game from them after this. I think I might honestly respect them more if they didn't try to sell us another ending, and just stood their ground. Yeah the ending was shit, but not as shit as they'd be for trying to get me to fix it for $15 a week or two after I bought the game.
Eeeh, because TIM never ever reached the crucible?
[sp]I mean because there was that bit where Shepard basically has a vision of TIM holding those electric pylon things.[/sp]

[sp]It's presumably on the planet where Joker and his buds landed [/sp] [editline]12th March 2012[/editline]
[sp]I mean because there was that bit where Shepard basically has a vision of TIM holding those electric pylon things.[/sp]
That's because that's what TIM would've done. Like they show you what Anderson would've done.
[sp]I mean because there was that bit where Shepard basically has a vision of TIM holding those electric pylon things.[/sp]
[sp]I think the Catalyst was just showing you what the others would have done. Same reason it showed Anderson destroying synthetics even though he had died before he got a chance.[/sp] Also, spoiler tags bro.
