What, is there a way kirahhe survives?
Yes. you try and keep all pressure off him in ME1, and you pick to save whoever you had in charge of his team.
Wait every time i've played i've never destroyed the fighters.
Well there's one of those pressures.
automerge damn you.
What, is there a way kirahhe survives?
Doesn't he live if you save Ashley and not Kaidan, because Ashley is with Kirrahe?
Kirrahe lives if you take out all the obstructions and enemies that he tells you to take care of.
Playing Mass Effect again. That feeling when you saved 30 minutes ago, step in an elevator, and then get stuck.
How are people just now noticing this? This happened a ton of times in Mass Effect 2
Well, right now we have an even worse situation. [sp]During the ending sequence, the pistol you get is not necessarily the one you picked up, then it has infinite bullet, blah bla blah [/sp]
Wait, wait, sudden realization.
[SP]At that ending with Grandpa Stargazer and the kid stargazing on that planet, he talk about telling one more Shepard story. Which is a problem. Technically, this game is the last Shepard story.
"When PC Gamer asked if Shepard would definitely not appear in future games in the Mass Effect universe, producer Michael Gamble replied: 'Correct.'"
Tell me they did not just imply future ME3 DLC IN THE AFTER-CREDIT ENDING. PLEASE..[/SP]
:suicide:

you do not have to do that to save him, i picked to save ashley who was back at the nuke and he still survived.

Knowing EA, it probably was.
The original writing staff was cut (a tiny bit, not a lot) by EA when ME2 was released, and replaced with some 'publisher-friendly' ones.
Okay when when Traynor said she thought EDI's voice was attractive I was all like "okay somehow this threesome is going to happen". [sp] guess what happens to EDI like one mission later[/sp]

I still get mad at Mass Effect because when I was at Noveria I badassed my way up to Benezia, walked in, and a 16 ton biotic anvil landed on my head, and the fuck autosave was like, "huh? oh sorry, was taking a nap for a few hours. lemme just drop you off at the fucking GARAGE. lolololol fuc u!!!!!!!!!!"
I save after every fight in Mass Effect. Forever.

Thats funny cause I'm on Noveria and that seems to be the only place I ever get stuck in elevators or have a terrible autosave function.
I also take great pleasure shooting people on the Noveria map in MP, cackling like a madman
BACK YOU GO! BACK YOU GO! YOU GO BACK TOO! YOU ALL GO BACK!!

Man, Noveria was rough. I spent most of time hiding in cover because I was awful at the game and really didn't want to die.

Moriarty is so arrogant. He does kind of have some points, but really, fuck him. Fuck him and his 9.5 score.

ME3 feels like the weakest in the series if you think about it all (which I constantly do).
painfully obvious after lurking forums and reading other peoples theories on the subject.
um no it was painfully obvious the second i saw the scene you bafoon
I just started playing this and so far I'm excited to see how it goes. It doesn't give me the same feeling the ME1 gave me, and especially the feeling I got playing ME2; so I'm sort of skeptical. I've played about two hours and it's been good; I'll be able to have a better opinion once I get into the meat and potatoes. In the meantime my biggest goal is to shag every chick on the Normandy. :v:
I've played up to the mission where [sp]the Citadel is attacked by Cerberus[/sp]. I'm having the time of my life, surely the ending can't be that bad, can it?
You need alot of help
Not if you were shooting Batarians.
Hell even that One Vorcha was better then the ones you meet in the series

That's exactly where I'm at haha, thinking the same thing.

What about the Batarian you met along side the Vorcha? He was also pretty chill given that Shepard basically fucked his people over.

It was better than ME2 in pretty much every way for me, ME2 clearly feels like the weakest.
It had better combat than ME1 (which, admittedly, is a big advantage considering the amount of time you spend in combat) but I hated the arbitrary loyalty missions for characters that just were not written that well.

it is. once you see it your view of the entire trilogy will change for the worse and it will probably be difficult to play the past two games after seeing how it all ends.

Maxed out Concussive blast, all those poor troopers.

Batarians can be pretty cool, but the only ones that are outside North Kor- er, the Hegemony are gangsters and special forces.

No way. ME2 was the pinnacle. Even as the middle game of the series, it had a fairly solid ending, a large group of diverse and likable characters who each undergo serious developments and had very fun and functional combat. The loyalty missions were necessary because you had to gain the trust of your team members because they were expected to accompany you on a suicide mission beyond an uncharted relay into the middle of hostile space. And they were solid, enjoyable and helped develop each character very well.
In my opinion anyway.

I think some of the characters should've been given time to develop, and of the most poorly written, Jacob was that for me.
In overall plot ME2 contributes nothing, but for me it allows us to go in deeper into the universe we're in and explore some of the conflicts.
What I hate the most about ME3 is simply a lot of your choices are invalidated. Like Anderson gives up his position in the council in order to have more drama and because they couldn't think of any other way to move the story on. The majority of your decision don't have much of an impact on the story as a whole. There are plenty of plot holes, even more than ME2. They have some great ideas, but they fail to actually explore them.
ME3 just leaves a lot lacking for me, while ME2 serves it purpose for me simply because it's just adding more to the setting.
I'm just angry this conversation was partially cut out of the ending. I posted it earlier, but damn it's good. Spoilers, obviously.

I swear this coulda helped to keep the ending from being so bad, it woulda added more of an emotional impact rather than just "wuts goin on wut"
