I didn't choose a special power, I maxed out everything else instead.
Well I usually ignore some powers that come by default on some classes.
I never touch Cryo Blast on any class that has it, I just don't use it at all. Same with Pull on Adept. I have Singularity and Throw already.
Any tips for my Quarian Infiltrator? I got maxed out tactical cloak and sabotage, but should I max Sticky Grenade/Quarian training and disregard Fitness totally, or some mix of those? I have no problem staying alive with cloak and running, so is Fitness even worth it?
It's probably been mentioned, but wasn't the whole crew of the normandy [sp]in london, with shepard? you see them just before you run into the beam. why are they all suddenly in the ship during the ending (they all come out once you crash). wtf???[/sp]
Spoiler about that and why that might have happened:
[sp]
There is another explanation. From the audio files people have extracted and posted on the BW forums, it appears that Shepard was originally supposed to end up back on Earth somehow, and the Normandy was supposed to get in a fight with Harbinger and be forced to run away through the mass relay. All that was cut from the ending for reasons unknown, along with a bunch of extra Anderson dialogue.
The most plausible explanation is that they simply got lazy and/or pressed for time at the end, rewrote the ending into its current form, but used the clips you mention (which became nonsensical after the revisions) because they didn't have time to render and record anything else.
It'd be nice to think they have some kind of master plan here, but IMO they just fucked up.
ok so having seen the [sp]secret destroy ending[/sp] first hand in game, along with all the other signs and twitter posts I'm pretty much on the "these aren't the actual endings" club.
what [sp]secret destroy ending?[/sp]
what [sp]secret destroy ending?[/sp]
Shepard [sp]is seen in some rubble in London presumably, drawing breath though he's supposed to blow up on the Citadel. [/sp]
what [sp]secret destroy ending?[/sp]
[sp]If your EMS is above 4,000 and you save Anderson, or it's above 5,000, you see a short scene with Shepard's body covered in rubble, he then starts to breath. It appears as though he's in London because it looks nothing like the Citadel.[/sp]

$10 says it's going to be DLC.... maybe $15.

oh yeah i saw that on youtube. thats hardly a secret. but i did the middle option. its ALWAYS the middle option. give me a hard decision.
Did they really say to buy dlc in the final message, no thank you for playing or anything?
Yes.

This song seems like it would go well with the battle for earth trailer, "Times are looking grim these days, Holding on to everything, it's hard to draw the line" I mean you're fucking fighting people for the very end of earth.
I'm a massive fan of KoRn, but fuck no. That doesn't fit much, if at all.
[sp] Anderson's death. Something about the whole looking at Earth - "I'm proud of you son" [/sp] even the endings can't change that.
[sp] Anderson's death. Something about the whole looking at Earth - "I'm proud of you son" [/sp] even the endings can't change that.
[sp]everything literally right up until the Catalyst showed up was awesome
if they ended it right there and gave us an epilogue, I would have been happy.[/sp]
Yeah. The ending makes it very easy to forget about all the things they got right this time around.
I like the new level up system, and the variety of weapons, and the fact that I can install weapon mods again. Plus, they finally allow you to mix paragon and renegade, which is great.
I think my biggest complaint aside from the ending is the lack of player freedom. The game overall feels more... directed, than the last two games. And there is a severe lack of good side missions. Most of it is just fetch quests.
Yeah, mass effect 1 had a true rpg element to the game with hundreds of different guns, armor, etc. When mass effect 2 came they toned it down and in mass effect 3 they got rid of it but then again considering it's pretty much the end there's no need to be exploring planets and still trying to find the best weapon i guess but still would've been nice. I miss exploring planets with the mako.

There's a femshep version? Fork it over. [sp]please[/sp]
I can still play my Salarian Engineer until I want to switch to something else. Looks like I'm going to be farming a lot of Geth.

I listen to this conversation (maleshep) every day.
Actually there are some moments, id like to watch every day like [sp]Mordins death, Legion sacrifice, Grunt kicking asses and than asking something to eat and this conversation between Anderson and Shepard.
Also David Archer.[/sp]

I remember him from a few movies and Halo but out of all the things he did, Saints Row was the one I played the most, and Julius was one of my favorite video game characters ever.
Just finished skimming through this thread after finishing the game, I'm really hoping that the endings [sp]really aren't the endings, I don't even mind the whole screwing over the entire galaxy thing, it's just that the last 15 minutes hardly made sense and completely changed the tone of the game for me[/sp]
I think Bioware should release an 'expansion pack sized dlc' to the game, loads of extra content and missions before the end game and a slight continuation of the story that somehow wraps all the endings up together by [sp]Revealing it was all a dream, indoctrination, whatever[/sp] or by even retconning it altogether. The new ending would end in the destruction of the reapers or whatever other (hopefully) better endings Bioware can come up with. As long as they make more sense and don't ruin the tone and atmosphere of the game. [sp]and don't seem to be a complete ass-pull[/sp]
I seriously think a paid continuation of the endings would work, if it gets released as a big 'expansion pack' as opposed to a DLC, it could go a long way towards justifying charging money to get the 'real' endings. They could also add in more asset awarding missions in before the endgame, allowing those of us who only played the singleplayer to be allowed the 'best' ending without scanning EVERY SINGLE PLANET.
Fallout 3 did something similar with broken steel, [sp]Retconning the player's death[/sp] and if I recall correctly, that didn't go down that badly, and that was 'just' DLC.
Anyway, that was my thoughts on everything. Besides the endings, it was a wonderful experience. I really enjoyed the game all the way through. Almost. I just seriously want a better conclusion to the Mass Effect Trilogy.

I'm just wondering what their logic was behind all this. The indoctrination is gaining a disturbing amount of support because of how many holes it fills, but even that means that Bioware only gave us half the ending.
