If I recall reading in a gaming magazine once in an interview with Bioware, [sp]they said that this was the end for Shepard's story arc, but not the end of the Mass Effect universe, maybe that indoctrination thing could be real.[/sp]
I completely admit that the feeling of the end got the better of me. It felt good, like a good ending. It's only after you realise what just actually happened you go 'wait a minute, what the FUCK'
[sp]Eh, Quarian and Turians all die off, leaving Humanity, Geth and Salarians? Who eventually rebuild civilisation from the ground up, making Earth the galactic capital, before finally creating a viable Relay substitute eventually reuniting all the races scattered and stranded across the stars into the Mighty Human, Geth & Salarian Empire, or something...[/sp]
Warhammer 40K without the salarian and geth part?

[sp]mass effect 4, shepard is the new illusive man[/sp]
i swear to god if that happens i quit at video games forever

The outstanding issue is that if the indoctrination theory is true...Shepard's act hasn't concluded yet.
Every aspect of it is bizzare. I can't wait for Bioware's response to it
"Oh ya lol Shepard was just indoctrinated and shit, totally our idea and not by our fans, do not steal."
Every aspect of it is bizzare. I can't wait for Bioware's response to it, and I really can't believe how many people are defending Bioware for the endings. I have not seen a single major reviewer talk about the ending, several internet publications are slandering the people who are angry about it...
Here's a guy who takes the opposite views of those sites mocking the people who didn't like it.

I think the concept is fantastic. It's the last mental test, a true "Crucible" for Shepard. They just needed to finish the fucking thing.

Yup, felt rushed.

Those two aren't really connected. They could just as easily do prequels, like the First Contact War, for example.

Fighting in the First Contact War is not exactly as fun as fighting against the Reapers.
I dunno about you guys, but I get the feeling they had to cut the game's ending a bit short.
:v: Just feels sort of unfinished at this rate.
Warhammer 40K without the salarian and geth part?
Yep, then Shepard becomes the God-Emperor of Humanity.

I hate this "explanation" for unfinished games. :/
So I have a issue with my game. I am on the mission on the Korgan Planet [sp] Defusing the Turian Bomb[/sp] And just randomly throughout this mission my game will crash. I got to the final part of the map the [sp] part where you defend the Lt[/sp] but It just crashed again and now I cant even load Mass Effect 3

Except in ME1-ME2 you weren't really fighting Reapers, hell in ME3 you're not either, all you ever fought was their slaves (Husks/Cannibals, Geth) or shit like Mercs.

Go to Origin and Verify/Repair Install. This worked for me.

You can't really say that though, I'm sure there was plenty of epic and awesome shit done in that war.
If they did a Star Wars Republic Commando kinda game set in the First Contact war, I could die a happy man.

You mis-interpreted that. I meant something like fighting a galactic threat.

They still call all those dudes reapers though.
The Cannibals and those I mean.

I don't know if they'd really cut out an ending because of limits, I meant as in budget and time.
But they have a very valid reason. They're developers, they work with these consoles. I think they know what it can and can't do for them and their projects. If Bioware really couldn't fit shit like Holstering in because of limits. I'm not going to distrust them. What would they gain by lying like that.
Lots of developers have to do this, nothing unique about them.

I suppose.
You mis-interpreted that. I meant something like fighting a galactic threat.
Again, don't need a huge galactic threat to have an epic game.

To be fair the hell would a regular person call them? I guess its just a form of slang.
Again, don't need a huge galactic threat to have an epic game.
Sure, but saving the entire galaxy (and running into dick councilors, etc.) is much more fun than fighting a single race.

The memory issue makes me think "un-optimized."
Just look at the Uncharted series. PS3 has less RAM than Xbox 360, yet it somehow can have a powerhouse of a graphics engine. And somehow Mass Effect 3 can't enable holstering, even though the previous two games could.
Someone explain this to me.
Those two aren't really connected. They could just as easily do prequels, like the First Contact War, for example.
A first contact DLC wouldn't work at all. As a prequel, it's flawed. It's not like in Human Revolution where you get to live the events that brought around Deus Ex. Playing the first contact war now would be like fighting all the forces and friends you just spend 80 hours fighting alongside, and 40 hours uniting. It's gonna feel pretty shitty, AND pointless.
Someone explain this to me.
Shit optimization, just like you said, or laziness.
It would literally take several lines of code to switch between animation sets and disable the ability to aim/shoot.

Rachni war.
Play as Krogan.
Anyone know which song plays for example during [sp]the defense of the missiles in London when the final wave arrives, or while waiting for the Normandy at the very start of the game?[/sp]
I think it MIGHT be View of Palaven but I'm not really sure.
[editline]13th March 2012[/editline]
Chances are it's not on the OST at all (many songs are not) and will be released in a Mass Effect 3: Combat album just like with ME2.
Sure, but saving the entire galaxy (and running into dick councilors, etc.) is much more fun than fighting a single race.
I find it all equally fun and compelling.
The Reapers aren't the only thing in Mass-Effect that I love or interests me.
