Oh, no more multi player on the demo. I guess thats ok. I'll just play the same two missions until i die.
I really liked the Liara Project scene when she started to narrate about Sheprd.
Almost felt as a epilogue.
I think if they did drop the real ending for DLC it would be because of a DRM measure honestly, you can't access the DLC if you pirated the game, It's like that for a lot of games, as far as i know.
Every single DRM measure in the video gaming world amounts entirely to 'delaying pirates by some time.'
Origin? Bypassed. SecuROM? Obsolete a decade ago.
ME3 was almost cracked before it was even released. From Ashes was cracked a few hours after that. Pirates were playing the game before most legitimate customers even got their pre-ordered copies.
EA is completely clueless as to the root of the piracy issue. The problem isn't that their anti-piracy measures aren't advanced or innovative enough, the problem is that people don't want to buy their games - and ME3's problems only vindicate the pirate mentality even more.
Oh, yeah it's New Game+. Strange that it started on level 8 (I'm only on Mars in that picture) while other guns stayed at level 5.
Every time you pick up a weapon you already had in your previous playthrough it will gain a couple levels.
Going by the picture I would say 3 levels but I'm not 100% sure.
I don't get it.
that confusion you just got? my goal
my work here is done
I saved myself from spoilers because I thought everyone was hugely overreacting to the ending, but god fucking damn it. Wow. I did not expect this. I already sat at my desk for a minute facepalming when they did the EDI body thing, but this. And it's not even that whole thing with [sp]your choices not mattering, the crucible and the three stupid choices and the incredibly retarded synthetic DNA thing, when everybody suddenly has circuitry running on their skin, what bothered me most is that they had that FUCKING kid there being the damn force behind the reapers or whatever he was, and what pissed me off even more was that they just have the "oh, it was all just a story that some dad told his kid on a winter evening". And the fact that the game puts you before the cerberus base assault when you continue. Felt like a big FUCK YOU for some reason. Just like the "hey, we're not gonna give you the option to cooperate with the illusive man but he's kinda right all along" thing.[/sp]
I got one question though, and I'm really curious, because I didn't think I romanced anyone, but Liara [sp] did that mindfucking thing in London with my femshep, or at least that's what I thought it was.[/sp] What was that and why'd she do it?
Yeah, but [sp]consider the fuel costs of doing that. Travelling between a couple of star systems often uses all of the Normandy's fuel.[/sp]
I assume [sp]the governments after the battle of earth decided to use as much fuel as they could to get everyone to whatever planet they have their homes on, and then carefully ration it. Maybe the epilogue with the dad and the child is actually due to this carefully rationed fuel supply? The dad might be telling his child that they' can't see the stars because fuel is rationed for military/economical purposes rather than recreational purposes after this whole affair. Maybe he's waiting for someone to rebuild the mass relays (considering eezo still exists pretty much, it might be possible, as the Protheans did it? I don't quite remember what the ME1 thing was that flung you to the citadel)
The ending might be less bleak than I thought. I hope. I'm really just trying to find some non-frustrating explanation, damn it![/sp]

I liked Liara in 3 far more than in 1. She seemed to exist purely to move the plot in the first game but here she is a real character.

Not sure, since my male shep didn't romance anybody, but I assume you [sp]embrace eternity?[/sp]

Probably just grabbin [sp]some DNA so that she can give birth to blue Shepards[/sp]

[sp]Mindrape[/sp], then?
[sp]Mindrape[/sp], then?
It didn't look a lot like [sp] mindrape, but I thought the "embrace eternity" thing and asari mindfucking was the same thing?[/sp]

The Asari can do something similar to the bonding, but for just the purpose of sharing memories, feelings, and experiences. Not reproduction. She explains this if you ask her about it. They do it for people who they are close to, as well as for saying farewell.

No, remember in ME1 when she does it to find out about your Prothean vision? That wasn't for the purpose of reproduction either.
I just finished the game and I've avoided this thread for the past week so excuse me if this was already posted a million times, but did they just take the endings from Deus Ex, except no matter what you choose you get the Dark Age-ending?
Because the ending choices are pretty much exactly the same as Deus Ex.
I didn't play ME1 long enough to get there, or I don't remember it. Anyway, good to know at least that had some purpose.
[editline]13th March 2012[/editline]
I thought the whole game felt a lot like Deus Ex, especially with all the talk about evolution, synthetic replacements and implants and [sp] fusing humans with reapers[/sp].
Whilst recording some footage in Mass Effect 3, I realized that almost every NPC (in non-combat areas, like the Citadel) is static in some way. Only a few actually 'patrol' or move around.
Anyone have a clue why it is so?

Not sure about the pirated game but i was able to get the dr pepper dlc through other measures since I dont want to go through all of that for a chance of it.

Spoilers I suppose, though there isn't any context.

Who is casey hudson and is he responsible for fucking the game up?
Yeah, but [sp]consider the fuel costs of doing that. Travelling between a couple of star systems often uses all of the Normandy's fuel.[/sp]
I still wonder why all ship models decided to forgo the "just need to discharge energy" engine style and just go for, quite literally, "fill'er up at the gas pump, this baby gets 1 light year to the gallon."
The more I think about it actually, the more I realize how ME2 and ME3 slowly raped or outright removed those little bits of sci-fi lore that made Mass Effect special.
I thought the whole game felt a lot like Deus Ex, especially with all the talk about evolution, synthetic replacements and implants and [sp] fusing humans with reapers[/sp].
is it me or were Kai Leng's enhancements basically completed ripped from HR
speaking of which I'm gonna go see if I can make Jensen in the face editor

also wondering does anybody know this guy outside of FP http://facepunch.com/members/424144-Sarif he seemed to really like the streams and would like to tell him that i will be streaming me3 this weekend.
can someone explain the kai leng/cereal romance to me
i do not understand
Quick question, so the Collector's Assault Rifle.. does it carry over to ME3 MP?
That shit eating grin.

It's That Hudson.
I can't have been the only person who, at the ending, [sp] attempted to shoot the Star Child and/or walk away from the options[/sp] upon getting there.
I hit an invisible wall, that's how backwards I went.
I mean, shouldn't doing that be a totally viable ending as well? You're pretty much saying, if you're EMS is high enough, "Well, we're doing okay, all things considering, so let's keep this up and see how it goes."
Then, having placed a wireless tap under the comm console, he was done, Or should have been done.
But Leng was something of an adrealine junkie and enjoyed being where he was. That's why
he checked the cupboards, located some cereal, and had breakfast before putting everything back
exactly as it had been. It was his apartment now
But the whole point for the fleet was to [sp]cover the crucible, they would never win the fight against the reapers without it.[/sp]
