So just a small theory about the [sp]Destroy[/sp] endings.
[sp]I'm figuring the reason that Shepard doesn't wake up in all cases is that he resisted the indoctrination, but not nearly enough. Like in that video someone posted, you don't wake up if you destroy but Anderson dies, because Anderson was part of your mind resisting the reapers.
Maybe you don't wake up with low EMS because your Shepard just doesn't have any hope without the support of others[/sp]
Is there any way to unlock more casual clothing (like the romance outfit where shepard is in his undies).. I want to run around the citadel in my underwear.

Yeah you can do that stuff. What you have to do though is add it to the listing of available items. I'm not sure how to do that but there were guides in ME2, so it can't be too different in ME3. I've seen it done already just haven't tried to do it.
Anybody know a way to edit the Coalesced so my ability cool downs are not effected by the weight of my weapons? Would be fun to know have to deal with that on my current playthrough.
Does that work with Squadmates too?
Because...Liara in her romance outfit, That'd be nice.
[sp]With the control ending, how can you even really be sure Shepard actually is in control? [sp]Well, it's equally possible the whole ending was just a dream. For now we can only assume the Control ending actually has some form of control.[/sp]
from that mass effect fps thingy

I can see 10v10 Mako battles being fought on the side of a 90 degree angled cliff.
Nothing is too steep for the Mako.
It depends.
[sp]If Shepard is the ultimate space jesus paragon of all humanity, then his / her "essence" would allow for galactic peace and unity. If Shepard isn't, then it means centuries of never ending conflict, selfishness, and all individuality or self freedom is lost.
Besides, either way the concept of free will is gone forever which, as Shepard him/herself says when talking to Javik, is the only thing that separates Organics from Synthetics.[/sp]
So I think it's fundamentally an immoral choice. [sp]A dictatorship requires a flawless dictator.[/sp]
[sp]But if all he's doing is making everyone synthetic, is it REALLY giving up free will? Look at Legion. Hell, the entire BACKGROUND of the Geth is them becoming self aware and free willed. "Does this unit have a soul?" [/sp]

Oh god if battlefield 3 was moddable, somebody could probably get a team together and make a mass effect mod for it.

someone needs to find a game modifiable enough to make this happen
ARMA maybe?

Does look slightly better but barely. As for the PhysX thing, thats why I was asking. Found these things across the web when looking up Coalesced editing.

Cryengine would be a good platform, it's a smooth no-bullshit FPS engine that has support for powers, vehicles, etc.

Why even switch engines? Just make it on Unreal, that would save loads of time.

I had I an idea that I think I am gonna pursue. An interactive save editor for ME3. Lets you choose the options of each game through video choices from the previous games. Similar to the ME2 Genesis DLC, but not an interactive comic.
Well, I completed Mass Effect 3 for myself last night (after watching my brother complete it the day before- giving me time to process the next few commentaries) and I think Mass Effect 3 can easily be seen as the best and the worst of the entire trilogy for different reason. Overall, the game is fun and has some great moments, but it does also have some aspects that could be ‘cutbacks’ in comparison to the previous games. I know I am kind of late to the party, but I have just been writing 'commentaries' about some major aspects of the game (just some things of note, to point out, think about, and to get off my mind). Rather than having a huge wall of text detailing all of it, I'm going to release it in small chunks starting with the characters:
Mass Effect 3’s greatest strength, to me, is its characters and their interactions. There are plenty of great moments for each character that makes them feel a lot more natural and more engrossing than typical video game characters. The older characters are back and better than ever, more or less, and the new… well some of them are nice new additions.
For starters, there’s Shepard- of course- he’s/she’s taken a radical change in character since Mass Effect 2. He/she feels a lot more interesting as a character because we finally get this sense of true humanity in Shepard rather than the blind and unrelenting determination that was present in the previous games. By that I mean, in Mass Effect 3 there’s a lot more put in to Shepard to show the emotional baggage that he/she has to deal with. Just in the facial animations you’re able to grasp subtle things like pangs of uncertainty and doubt in the success of his mission. However, this may also be seen as something of a problem to some seeing as Mass Effect has just about always been about playing how you want to play- making your own character. That being said, some of Shepard’s more human tendencies can seem out of character some people’s established Shepards. Furthermore, Mark Meer has shown steady improvement of his delivery of his lines. I hope I can say the same about Jennifer Hale when I play FemShep (from what I have seen, they are not as bad as Mass Effect 2‘s constant breathy monotonous tone).
Liara noticeably improved quite a bit, taking her best qualities and her character from Lair of the Shadow Broker and amplifying them to a point where she seems more capable mentally and physically than in previous games. Liara was my least favorite character of Mass Effect, and was slightly redeemed in Mass Effect 2 and the Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC, but Mass Effect 3 put her as one of my favorite characters for the entire series. The way she‘s changed as a character and developed into a personality worth taking seriously is pretty cool (aesthetically, her character model looks really nice in the game‘s lighting). [sp] Her best moment, I’d say, is when she visits Shepard in his/her quarters regarding her archive project. It’s a calmer moment and kind of a depressing one as she explains how she’s leaving data caches for the possible next cycle and wishes to get Shepard’s input as to how he/she wants to be remembered. [/sp]
Garrus is as cool and slick as ever, further solidifying how much Garrus is- and always has been- Shepard’s best partner in crime, so to speak. There’s really not much I can say about him other than that, there’s nothing really bad or off-putting about his character third time around- which is good. [sp] It was nice that we got to hear some about his family, shame we never get to meet them though. His best moment would have to be shooting bottles at the top of the Presidium, because it’s just two long time friends hanging out knowing any day could be their last. You can easily sense their long-time bond as partners, friends, and on some occasions, lovers. The whole scene is done really well. [/sp]
Tali did not really strike a significant chord with me in this game. She, thankfully, lost her somewhat ‘bumbling-idiot’ and awkward school-girl antics of Mass Effect 2 but other than that, I felt she was just kind of there for the duration. I mean, it was nice to have her and a majority of the old crew back, but following the geth and quarian conflict I didn’t really take notice of her much. Her best moment: [sp] ‘house shopping’ on Rannoch and when Shepard gives her a stone to ‘carry her home around with her’. As a long time fan of Mass Effect, I got this feeling of ’finally, I can help Tali and her people get their home back’. And of course her drunken banter. [/sp]
[sp] EDI was interesting. Ignoring the idiotic assumptions as to how the character would be pre-release, EDI’s character was far more interesting in Mass Effect 3 as she becomes more of an individualistic synthetic organism challenging and understanding what it means to be truly alive. It was handled well. The inevitable increasingly physical romance between Joker and EDI was also handled well and didn’t dumb down to ‘sex-bot antics’ much (Although, BioWare never shied away from pointing out the ‘attractiveness‘ of EDI‘s body). Although I didn’t find much use of her on the field, her conversations were always interesting to listen to. Her best moment… I don’t really know, most of her memorable moments are through dialogue rather than action.[/sp]
I can’t say whether or not Ashley struck any significant chord with me, I’m still a little mixed with her. She’s pretty much the same character from Mass Effect. I guess, she borderline annoyed me because she felt a little disconnected with what was going on; where she wasn’t second-guessing Shepard’s judgments because of his/her time with Cerberus, she talked about her family/sister. Still, I was disappointed [sp] that she (and, by extension, Kaidan) are absent from your crew for a good portion of the game. To be honest, I cannot even think of a best moment from her :/ [/sp]
Vega was an okay character, I can’t say he’s the most fascinating character, but he was still interesting to have around. It’s disappointing that people determined their opinion on the character simply based on how he looks. Overall, he’s not a bad character and feels more like Shepard’s protégé, someone you know has your back through thick and thin (unlike Ashley/Kaidan who second-guess you more than a few times- it’s understandable, to a degree, but still annoying). His best moment would have to be [sp] he and Garrus comparing accomplishments. Like with Garrus’ ’best moment’ its just two guys chilling out [/sp]
Javik is an interesting character, but underutilized. I still feel that he should have been integrated into the main story in some way (seeing as right now his seemingly only true purpose is insight on his people as pure fan service) and his ability to sense the history of things/organics through touch is a little more than convenient to bring him up to speed, but nonetheless all his conversations were interesting to listen to. I am glad that, as a Prothean, he did not turn out to be some benevolent genius scientist or anything that fit the general belief of what the Protheans were. It made him and the Protheans more interesting to know they were fallible and had more flaws than just failing to stop the Reapers. Throughout the game, I felt like He, Liara, and Shepard were the most important people in the overall story for some reason. His best moment would have to be [sp] Well, most of his comments about the races of ‘this cycle’ are pretty humorous (“They used to eat flies”- Javik on salarians) but his best moment would either be his flashbacks to his ‘cycle’, giving hope to an asari, hanar, and turian (at Shepard’s insistence), or the ‘standoff’ between him and Liara after visiting Thessia. [/sp]
Cortez and Traynor I didn’t mind having around. Traynor pretty much filled the ’nerdy schoolgirl’ character Liara, Tali, and Kelly embodied in the previous installments; minus the relentless infatuation towards Shepard. Whereas, the others were sometimes annoying, Traynor tended to have a sort of wit to her antics- like she‘s smart, she knows it, but she‘s not socially awkward in return. Cortez seemed like an okay character, his background regarding his late husband is the same old grieving widow story, but it was still interesting to see a homosexual character taken seriously. It’s a funny coincidence finding an openly gay and lesbian (lesbian-only, that is) people on the same ship. Their best moments [sp] Traynor’s would have to be playing chess with Shepard. Especially when- as a male Shepard- you say you’re interesting in some ’bed games’ and she rejects it… you’d have to see it. As for Cortez, it’d have to be Shepard’s reaction after Cortez gets shot down during the final mission, because it’s [unintentionally] hilarious. [/sp]
Diana Allers… why was this character created? Not only is Jessica Chobot’s voice acting vapid of any real emotion and lacks any and all energy she brings to her IGN show, but her role could have easily been filled by the two reporters series regulars know best: Emily Wong (who is absent from the game, as far as I know) and Kalisah who-the-fuck-thought-of-this-name (Shepard can even tell her to ‘ask the tough questions‘ and practically spread propaganda. So, why not have either character has your wartime reporter? I’m glad they give the option to leave her off the ship, but I’d like an option to send her out the air lock.
As for Shepard’s former squad mates, I felt all of them had ‘worthy’ cameos that made sense and did justice to the character. Some of them are real tear jerkers: [sp] Mordin’s sacrifice for the krogan is the most notable (shame he wasn‘t voiced by the same person though), then Legion’s sacrifice for his people, Grunt’s [near] death encountering the Rachni, Thane’s death protecting the Salarian Council Member and Samara’s [attempted] suicide [/sp]. All great moments. Most had fairly justifiable means for not joining Shepard again. (Although, Zaeed probably had the least amount of baggage from joining up with Shepard again. [sp] Then again, he may have killed Diana for taking his room and throwing away his favorite gun- if that dialogue is in-game. [/sp]).
There were numerous side-characters who I was hoping to see again who are neither mentioned nor seen, but I can live with that I guess (seeing as it would take the phrase “it’s a small world” to new lengths).
When I finish writing them, I will post the gameplay and endings portion... you know, if anyone cares to read them.
ToggleFlyCam or whatever I have right now doesn't turn it off.
Thats not right... When I use it and press it again I zip back to Shepards body. If the mouse locks up try and press it twice to go back to Shepard or press once to unlock. Besides that if its not working then the only recommendation I have is don't use it.
Also whats the default N7 armor listed under?
Doubtful, otherwise it would be prefixed with "end." From the looks of it, this is regarding the normandy(norcat). So yeah, it's probably the romance thing.
It was a joke, my dear.
what is the "guardian"? the catalyst?
Cerberus enemies with a shield are called Guardians.
