*sighs* Going back and looking at ME3 press releases is aggravating as hell.
Whether you're happy or angry at the ending, know this: it is an ending. BioWare will not do a "Lost" and leave fans with more questions than answers after finishing the game, Gamble promised. "You'll get answers to everything. That was one of the key things. Regardless of how we did everything, we had to say, yes, we're going to provide some answers to these people." - Michael Gamble, Feb 2, 2012

This story arc is coming to an end with this game. That means the endings can be a lot more different. At this point we’re taking into account so many decisions that you’ve made as a player and reflecting a lot of that stuff. It’s not even in any way like the traditional game endings, where you can say how many endings there are or whether you got ending A, B, or C. -Casey Hudson, Jan 10, 2012
With press releases like this...and the revelation of what we saw in "Final Hours of ME3"...the fuck are we supposed to believe? Either Bioware is hiding something up their sleeves, or they flat-out lied to us.
Bioware has indoctrinated us.
I swear, they put out the final hours at the worst possible time, it just made the situation far, far worse as it doesn't just help our suspicions, it flat out proves that they were lying through their teeth. Bad call guys.
Looks like they scissor'ed, just did the scene today.
2 coalesced files because I figured some people just want doubled war assets and none of the other mods. Link http://filesmelt.com/dl/COALESCED_FILES.rar Hope this is useful to someone
When the readme says that you must start a new save for the changes to take effect, does it mean you have to just create a new save ingame? because that is what I did and my effective military strength is the same as it was before

If you edit the amount in the save file with the save editor then it will work and actually give you the "better" ending(s), if you can call them that. There are no other entries around the GAWAssets that I could find that relate to ingame values.
Thanks for putting the image of default FemShep and Traynor scissoring.
You're welcome, offended by lesbians that aren't fat?

Or, at least, that is what I understood after reading the FAQS page for the save editor
I thought though, that information about military strength and readiness isn't contained in the save file though? Or, at least, that is what I understood after reading the FAQS page for the save editor
Sometimes an edited startingstrength seems to work and then it stops working, if you check the GAWasset section in the save editor you'll see it defaults back. An edited Coalesced seems to stop this from happening, mostly. The readiness is not in the save editor but the GAWAssets have the ID that relates with the listing in the Coalesced and the strength number. Strength is "dynamic" in that it changes depending on other acquired assets.
I just realized this, when you meet Dorn'Hazt and he asks you to tell his son Jona that he made it to a place, Jona is the same Quarian mentioned in ME2 by a female Quarian researcher on the Alerai.
Can't you just increase the value of an asset before you obtain it as a permanent fix?
Thats what I did in the coalesced. I set the startingstrength value double what its listed as. However it seems like the game has a check for most, if not all, of them and then resets them once you make a save game. The simple "fix" is to edit the value in the save to the one listed in the coalesced.
Is buying a spectre pack worth saving for in multiplayer
Yes, if you're having shit luck unpacking veterans, never finding a rare weapon/character/misc. A couple of good games on Silver will net close to 60k credits.
Search for m_fscandetectionrange, the default is 60. Just make the number really high like 1200. and you'll scan the entire system. Now going to make the reaper detection go away completely and increase the Normandy's speed. After that I'll increase planet scanning speed.
Hey, I tried searching for it but the editor couldn't find it. Could you point out where it's located? I'd also appreciate the Normandy speed and reaper detection range lines if you got 'em.

Just search for scan and you'll end up at the reaper section, or alternatively search for reaper. As for the Normandy speed, I was unable to find the listing anywhere so I couldn't change that. And finally you don't have to search the whole m_fscandetectionrange, just try part of it like scandetectionrange or just search scan and you'll find it.
I honestly feel sorry for Jona'Hazt Nar Qwib-Qwib. He loses both of his parents because of stupid decisions that the Admirals made. All within the space of a year. First he loses his mother on the Alerai when Rael networks the Geth there then loses his father during ME3. Both his parents end up getting gunned down by Geth. Seriously, if the Admirals ever get gunned down by an angry Quarian it'll probably be this kid who does it.
My ME3 doesn't seem to recognize ME2 saves. Granted, I've downloaded and edited those saves because I lost mine some time ago, but that shouldn't stop the game from not detecting them, right? They're located in Documents/Bioware/Mass Effect 2/Save/Save.pcsav

Thanks anyway.
should be documents/bioware/mass effect 2/save/(CHARACTERNAME)/save.pcsv
Any specific way the CHARACTERNAME should be typed in? Give me an example of your folder's name.
I know, I can't. But those are just things I think might have happened. Only what Bioware says can be fact because they're writing the story. Okay, then I have a plothole for you then.. Why couldn't I just use medigel on [sp]Thane? I mean, he was simply stabbed. I've seen my teammates get blown up and I could still revive them.[/sp] These are trivial questions. If you're wondering about [sp]the top of the Citadel then you must also wonder about how an Omnitool can turn into a blade and stab someone, or how Vanguards charge, or how Sentinels have holographic armors that add protection.[/sp]
When things like these happen, Mass Effect fields.

Can't be bothered to wait hours for it to download and install just for some silly folders.
Don't have ME2 installed anymore. Can't be bothered to wait hours for it to download and install just for some silly folders.
Just put a folder called FIRSTNAME_01_CLASS_DDMMYY Can't tell what the format for 01 is, think its just a random number.

Damn it, ever since I saw that picture listing issues with Mass Effect 3, all I see are sprites. Even Shepard is starting to look 2 dimensional...

My ME3 wouldn't recognize some of my ME2 saves until I went in and modded them on my computer and put them back on.
