Harbinger: Human. We are infinitely your greater. Compared to us, you are bacteria, insignificant creatures of blood and flesh that cannot comprehend our greatness... so why do you make me feel this way?
Shepard: It's alright Harbinger. Tell me how you really feel.
Harbinger: No! It's not right! You are insects, I should see you as less important than dust, and yet I... I...
Shepard: Shhhh, just come here.
*Commence human-on-2 kilometer sentient death machine action*
I just imagined Harbinger backing up slowly into maleshep while using the Reaper horn sound instead of the normal beeps that trucks make when backing up.

Make sure you have the ending flag set up in your save. If its not set ME3 won't show it.
Aside from potential ending dlc, what dlc do you think bioware's going to do? I think retaking omega since files for aria as a squadmate exist...
To be honest I really want to meet Jona'Hazt nar Qwib-Qwib, hes been mentioned in two games so far but you never get to meet him. At least once.

Retaking Omega is confirmed, I thought?
Also, I kind of wanted to do more stuff on Palaven helping the Turians. I liked the moon, it was pretty.

I wonder if she'll have any special dialogue with prothy the prothean.
who is he again? What's he do?
In ME2 aboard the Alerai you can see video logs of the Quarian research on Geth, his mother is the Researcher you see die. In ME3 his father serves aboard the Qwib-Qwib and is gunned down by Geth. His father asks you to deliver a message to his son except you actually end up doing so. Hes a completely random Quarian that just happens to be referenced in ME1 and ME2 that I've developed a unhealthy obsession over.
I've been playing through ME3 with my Adept Shepard.
Did I mention I beat ME2? I've lost count how many times now. Only my 3rd or so time beating ME1, and this will be my 2nd playthrough of ME3.
Adept is so much fun to play, running nothing but Paladin and abilities, most of the time my Paladin won't even run out of ammo because Warp can do more damage with like 1.5 seconds of cooldown time. Importing from ME2, and 6 hours in now, I'm level 46 (IIRC). I haven't gotten much paragon, and that is bugging me a bit, but ME3's morality system is alien to me, so whatever.

Wait, are you telling me that Warp has one and a half second cooldown now?
Wait, are you telling me that Warp has one and a half second cooldown now?
I may have been exaggerating a bit, but I did lower the CD to the lowest possible, and also have 200% power regen-rate because I'm only using the Paladin.
Well, I finished the game last night with an open mind about the endings (seeing as i hadn't read any spoilers) and I can honestly say the last 5 minutes ruined the entire experience for me of what had up until then been the best game i'd ever played. It really was that bad: [sp]I really wanted a really dark ending, so I have no issues with Shepard dying, or earth getting smashed to bits, because hey, it's the reapers. I also don't really care about the whole 'no choice' situation. My problem just lies with the horrible way they tacked on a major plot reveal with next to no explanation in about 20 seconds of interaction-less dialogue. It seems like they had no clue they were going to have the catalyst as an A.I on the citadel until literally the end of development time. It makes no sense with the rest of the story, throwing up so many plotholes etc.
What seriously was wrong with leaving the reapers as an ancient, all consuming race of sentient machines who's motives were unknowable? That's the kind of mystery that the game was good for, not the kind of mystery of 'how the fuck is anyone going to survive without the mass relays / stranded on a distant planet' [/sp]
Did anyone actually use james as a regulsr squadmate? I alternated mostly between garrus, liara and tali, occasionally picking [sp]prothy and edi[sp/]
I usually used Garrus and Vega as regular squadmates. It was pretty much a buddy-cop move.
The Chief (Shepard) who calls the shots and has seen some shit, the jaded wise-ass (Garrus) who's 2 weeks from retirement, and the new hotshot (Vega) who's by-the-book and idealistic.
I'm probably stretching it, and there are most likely different cliches that can fit, but that's the gist of it. They had really good banter 8/10 times.
I used Garrus and Ashley because they were my ME1 team, with me as soldier.
Rockin that red bar during deployment.
I was woundering why nobody has mentioned this before: [sp]If a Mass Relay get's destroyed, it's basicly just like a super nova since the massive amount of energy getting released... just like in the ME2 Arrival DLC. Whole solar system got wiped. [/sp]

[sp]I think the excuse most people are running with is that the explosions from the Crucible being fired were special and didn't result in the system-wide destruction that was displayed in the pre-ME3 DLC.[/sp]
Knowing Bioware, they probably don't know themselves.
My created saves properly don't work because I don't have ME2 installed, or I don't. Also fuck you Cloud.
Anybody else got goosebumps when this played?

so i take it after completing the game that [sp]every ending is exactly the same?[/sp]
the sequences i mean. i think it is just the same damn one no matter what you choose
[editline]16th March 2012[/editline]
it was SO SHITTY though, it leaves so much open? Why did they have to have the stuff about the kid in there, why did they have to have all of that bullshit instead of just tying the story up with lore about reapers and things and giving a real reason for everything to happen instead of saying that [sp] some imaginary kid is in control of the fate of the galaxy through unknown means for unknown reasons and he for more unknown reasons allows YOU to decide the fate, because for further unknown reasons his system is 'broken'[/sp]
[editline]16th March 2012[/editline]
has anyone else realized, too, that the whole fucking reason that [sp]the kid says that the reapers must exist is so that synthetics don't take over and destroy everything? well first of all, that's EXACTLY WHAT THE DAMN REAPERS ARE DOING! So how in the hell does the reapers, synthetic creatures, coming and killing everything protect the galaxy from death via synthetics? that's literally the dumbest thing[/sp]

how does he not understand that they are all the worst ending
i'm completely baffled by this, they all result in the exact same thing, even tycho admits it
[sp]A better ending would have been to scrap the whole space child thing and have a final meeting with harbinger like with sovereign, where you then get the option to either destroy the reapers (without the mass relays exploding (it's ridiculous that they are destroyed in each ending even seeing as they've obviously been designed to transmit the crucible signal)) as the paragon ending, or dominate them as the renegade. [/sp]

[sp]The energy fired from the crucible makes a harmless reaction with the Mass Relays' energy(if you have enough war assets). Something like a large asteroid would make anything explode, and if it were to collide with something with element zero, people are going to see some serious shit.[/sp]

Yes, ingame lore does actually make it evident that with the technology used to design the things, the [sp]explosions could be contained[/sp]
HOWEVER
[sp]the explosion is visible from the outside of the damn galaxy, no WAY some serious damaging energy wasn't released. and even if it wasn't, how is the galaxy without ever a chance of being reunited with your people a good galaxy to live in? how is a galaxy with almost no hope of ever achieving such a feat a better alternative to just being murdered by the reapers. now everyone is stuck, stranded on whatever planet they are on and even after generations, there will be almost no hope of ever attaining such things again. think about it, all of these planets are destroyed or almost destroyed, the technology effectively lost. how do you rebuild from that? it would take millions of years[/sp]

I personally would be happy with some real closure. i've always wanted, truly, to know how the reapers came to be, who the original reaper was (assuming the original isn't harbinger), and about the race who created it or them, or even if the reapers themselves evolved somehow from other synthetic life that was created by some ancient race. i want to know about the countless races that fell victim to the reapers over time, and how the galaxy evolved since the reapers came to be. i didn't want some fucking stupid sequence wherein an imaginary boy explains that the galaxy is his own plot-hole filled playground
[editline]16th March 2012[/editline]
and speaking of [sp]losing all technology, has anyone realized that all of the ships around earth, all of the countless ships fighting the reapers probably employed mass effect fields keeping them in place? after all of the technology is destroyed, the mass effect fields aren't keeping them in place anymore. so every single ship would plummet to earth. that means the extinction of the quarians and many other races as a whole, and the death of pretty much everything on earth too. just the debris from the citadel would probably be sufficient to wipe out all life on earth. [/sp]

Much better quarian design imo
Is it just me or is the crew of the Normandy in my game missing some audio files? I see them waving their arms and moving their heads a if they were talking but they don't speak. Only my squadmates and those two chicks at the screening thingy in the war room speak.
I hope Marauder Shields becomes a squadmate

Nah, the random crew members don't actually talk which is kinda lame.
Speaking of dialogue, was anyone else really miffed about the limited interaction with your crew? It felt like there were so few dialogue options to pursue with them.
YES, got my Collector's Edition just right now! Looks awesome! Finally, multiplayer time!
I love the smell of art-book *me gusta*
