Also sure the endings are horribad and Mary-Sue traits are boring and whatnot, but this is the best dialogue from the game (IMO):
That reminds me of KOTOR 2 how Kriea says you're crew follows you no matter what, listens to your orders and etc.
Yeah, and that proves what?
This is my theory:

From what I gathered I thought Aria was quite an old Matriarch, [sp]considering the sway she had over the Asari councilor[/sp]

And the bartender is a matriarch to.

I thought for certain that was a[sp]VI imitating the Asari councilor. She acted so... static or rigid. No emotion in her voice whatsoever. The whole conversation just seemed incredibly fishy to me.[/sp]

You forget, there's only one rule on the Citadel.
why would you want it to stick to genre conventions? lol that makes no sense
It makes more sense to stick to genre conventions to make a satisfying ending than to make an inconclusive ending that makes no sense just for the sake of being different.

Not every Asari that reaches that age becomes a Matriarch. Aria obviously isn't one, because she's the ruler of Omega.

Asari who crosses over to a new lifestage are not forced to do what their lifestage is supposed to.
Aria could very well be a Matriarch and rule Omega.

True, the wiki says it depends on the individual. But it does say that Matriarchs are the centers of communities such as sages and councilors are, if you ask me Aria is very central and protective of her community back at omega, no?
Made this on Paint
People who don't like the ending are fucking hilarious. Those that decided to make a petition make me LOL even harder.
Petition my ass.
It's clear there's a lot of whiny people who have no understanding of good literature, good science fiction, or even a fair grasp on the story that was being told.
Go and make your own fucking Mass Effect and you can make the ending whatever you want, arrogant fucks.

It had plenty of closure. Maybe you'd be happier if the end involved a jungle party, with Krogan singing and dancing and prancing around the trees and appearances by the ghosts of Kaidan, Morden and Miranda, all smiling approvingly at Shepard while he and Liara and Garrus watched over the cremation of the Illusive Man's body.

I'm pretty sure [sp]reapers built the Mass Relays[/sp]
Yes, they did. But [sp] Protheans made one in ME1. Even though all the current ones are destroyed, it should be possible to make more like the Protheans did [/sp]

No she isn't.
She IS Omega.

What time?
Shepards worst enemy = Cutscenes. I've slaughtered a whole galaxy with nothing but a pistol and a wiffle bat. But when there's a cutscene, you better be-fucking-ware of falling rubble, gay ass ninjas and conveniently closing doors.

Also, shields never work in cutscenes.
And your guns are now real-life kind of lethal. (1-2 shot kills)
Cant play multiplater, are there some maintance? How long?

Yeah, always hated that. Having killed 30 of his friends, this one guy is suddenly a big deal because he has a sword.
No, bullshit. I'll just pop two in his face and we're done.
The whole Crucible might not have been necessary if they had just used the Thanix cannons that were apparently standard on every ship now.
I mean there were what, hundreds, thousands of ships in the fleet? I imagine the majority would have them (maybe not the Quarian liveships). That's a lot of Reaper level weapons being fired AT the Reapers.
because they're the endings that everybody wanted
"give the people what they want." hahahaha what is this, call of duty?

...
Yeah nevermind. Obvious troll.
They endings are NOT wildly different, and this is all but proven fact at this point.
Because they WORK. They don't introduce a bullshit deus ex machina, they don't create plot holes (often), and they feel good. Genre conventions exist because they're a proven formula that people like.
the endings are insanely different in how they theoretically impact the universe. you can't tell me [sp]synthesis is in any way similar to destroy[/sp]
genre conventions work but so what? since when was innovation a bad thing

sorry I don't agree with you, god forbid someone enjoys the game for trying something different.
Genre conventions work when they're used well. If not they become clichés and no one likes them.

wanted to add you on steam to answer that, but accidentally ended up adding cagoBHuk. God damn you two have similar avatars.
Well, in my time zone it's 2pm but I'm not really arsed to mess around with timezones, when I start streaming I will post on the thread so just check this thread out.
Alternatively, just check this site frequently www.livestream.com/arvuti (using livestream because I had problems with twitch.tv)

Alright, cheers.
Ps. My avatar is atleast twice as sexy as Cago's.

I think in the context of mass effect, in my opinion, it would have just been silly. With how bleak everything is leading up to the ending, for the actual ending to just be "well it was bad but we're all okay now! tim 2 rebuidl!" would be a joke.

Yeah, I can tell you. [sp]Synthesis is fucking space magic that changes the DNA of every living beings in the universe, turning machines into organics (NO FUCKING SENSE) and organics into mechanics (SOME SENSE). Plus, everybody has a green glow circuit board on their skin, plants too? Can you take that seriously? How does pure energy changes every single living entity in the universe's DNA without doing some major fuck up in the process? Do you even know some biology?
Destroy is a definitely more viable option but it has three different renditions that just gives you either killing every single organic in the universe, killing every synthetics in the universe (Why again? Are all synthetics in the universe made of Reaper tech?) and a slightly better option where you can "take a breath at the end" which makes no sense because Shepard will still die anyway. (Magical teleportation back to Earth for the win, right?)
Seriously, if you can make sense out of the ending, enlighten me, and the rest of the internet, because we sure can't piece everything together. [/sp]
"give the people what they want." hahahaha what is this, call of duty?
No, it's common sense. Why would you not give your fans what they want?
