I actually just bought number 1 and am playing it for the 1st time because I was really dumb and played like 3 hours of ME2 and then just beat ME3
I hope that my save that i get form 1&2 will make the ending less shitty.
right?
I really hope this is all part of some plan
It sure is.
Mass Effect [sp]MMO[/sp]

Sorry, but no. I guarantee it will make the journey less shitty though, so it's still worth it.

no it just makes it more shitty once you realize that none of those events change anything.
and also Wrex is the greatest squad-mate ever

this isn't right.
So I finally got around to starting a new game in Mass Effect 1.
I can't decide what class to take. :v:
Vanguard.
Is there a way I can wear Kaidan's armor? It's boss.

I know you think you've heard it all at this point, but this is extremely, extremely well written.
Couple of minor issues I have with this.
[sp]The boom in Arrival isn't the same kind of boom you have in the ending.
He also mentions "billions or trillions of years ago when the citadel was made" which is just a little bit impossible considering the age of the universe is WELL under 20 billion years.
And also the fact that the Normandy was damaged was due to it getting fucked in the ass by the Lazor while in FTL[/sp]
Just started up Mass Effect and holy crap its the best shit ever, its so in depth and it feels like a BioWare game and not just a Gears of War with a nice story and "RPG" mechanics. I really hope the next thing BioWare does with the Mass Effect series has more in common with 1 than with 2 & 3

Once again I feel like I'm alone when I say that ME1 was the worst game of the series :v:
Maybe they have certain Reaper task forces allocated to different galaxies... or maybe our galaxy is best galaxy.
Yet again this is just silly baseless speculation. Traveling between galaxies even with Reaper FTL is completely unfeasible. If they wanted to use mass relays, they'd need another relay in the other galaxy first. And of course there's nothing to indicate that the Reapers travel between galaxies at all.

Not alone, but most people in the thread prefer ME1, I think.

They won't. ME2/3 style is what works much better with the big crowd.
ME was by far the best installment of Shepard's trilogy. The squad was amazing, the romances weren't in the double fucking digits, the Reapers were terrifyingly powerful, and I had my colossus armor.
Is there any way to get the steam overlay in ME3?
Setting origin.exe as a non-steam game worked before, but doesn't seem to do it anymore.
Just use the masseffect3.exe, at least it works for me.

Personally I think ME3 is actually the best so far since it's managed to strike that balance between Decent combat and Decent RPG.
I mean you know you're playing a "Proper" RPG when you spend like two hours solid side-questing without ever drawing a weapon.
ME1 had shitty combat but the RPG stuff was great
ME2 had decent combat but the RPG faded into the background.
ME3 side quests are terrible though
Just use the masseffect3.exe, at least it works for me.
Neither origin.exe or masseffect3.exe work :/

ME1 ones were exactly the same except you had to manually go down to each planet and drive around to find everything.

Also, can you say "Recycled interiors"?
I loved ME1's side quests

That's why I said they might have groups of them in different galaxies. No need to travel galaxy to galaxy if you already have troops there to do the job.

I actually hated them most of the time, because they all contain:
1) Dropping in Mako
2) Driving around in almost empty and dull planet
3) Going inside some building, which is completely same every time, only small details are changing
4) Talking with someone/shooting someone
5) The End
Really, ME2 suggested much more better way with sidemissions design. Though there's only 1 side effect - no driving (although we can drive a bit in Firewalker and Overlord).
Playing Vanguard is fun as fuck. I've never played anything but Soldier before.
walking through broken glass bare foot.

THe worst part was having to slowly hunt down those mineral deposits and artifacts. I ended up using the wiki because it mapped them all out. It was just SO BORING.
