Can someone clarify for me, the assets only actually effect the destroy ending right? And also whether or not you get the synthesis ending?
Because I don't remember anything different happening for the control ending.

I've calmed down quite a bit and I'm looking at the situation more rationally. I'm now more disappointed with Bioware than I am angry at them.

Forgiving? What do I have to 'forgive' them for? It's not like they're someone who said something fucking stupid, they're a corporation that made poor and extremely lazy business decisions. This isn't about holding a grudge, it's about being displeased at a companies poorly conceived product, that they haven't answered for. They're not answering legitimate concerns because they're hoping people like you see some need to act as though they're a wounded animal that just bit you, and everyone just forgets about it and buys the next pack of DLC they shovel out.
There isn't anything to 'forgive' they're not my child, they're not my friend, they are a business with a poor means of creating stories and answering concerns in a timely manner.

Weapons have been tweaked since than, and its not a bad weapon if you use it properly, with the Turian-Soldier's Marksman skill you can either make it very accurate and controllable or a deadly bullet hose.

Just because I'm willing to forgive doesn't mean I'm willing to forget. Bioware have fucked up hugely here, there's no debating that. It's just a matter of whether or not you think the rest of ME3 makes up for it. I do.

How am I supposed to play turian sentinel correctly? I'm currently going with a kind of mix between infiltrator and engineer, Overloading shields and then sniping stuff, with Tech armor points in damage mitigation. Should I just have gone with max damage on Tech armor and rushed into groups to blow shit up?

Uh...same reason as to why you can play a female in any other RPG? There's a widespread argument that Jennifer Hale acts circles around Mark Meer but other than that? Well, she's a strong female protagonist.

I suspect DLC in the near future that will change the ending, or we'll get some sort of MMO down the road taking place in the weird endings.
