I never play as females in RPGs! How does Jennifer Hale act circles around Mark Meer? What? Do people really think that?
This just in: women play videogames as well. More at 11! As for the acting, I think Meer does a generally better job at embodying the role of Shepard and in Mass Effect 3 in particular, I'd say he does an even better job than Hale. Hale is a wonderfully talented voice actress but her depiction of Shepard never quite sat with me. Sounds too...husky.
I never play as females in RPGs! How does Jennifer Hale act circles around Mark Meer? What? Do people really think that?
Male shepard isn't really good at emotions. He sounds super badass 90% of the time, but in romance scenes he sounds a little bit forced and at the end [sp]he doesn't really sound like he's dying, femshep does[/sp]
Uh...same reason as to why you can play a female in any other RPG? There's a widespread argument that Jennifer Hale acts circles around Mark Meer but other than that? Well, she's a strong female protagonist. That's about all I got.
Why do people play female in any other RPG...
Could you guys retweet this? https://twitter.com/#!/itzdracula/status/181494923105812482 nevermind they responded to it https://twitter.com/#!/masseffect/status/181495625035161600
Just finished the game, I'm pretty much quite confused right now and sad about the fact that [sp]whatever choice you make, shepard dies. I was hoping for something more well in the name of "survive against all odds" like in the previous more games.[/sp] And apart from that I am kind of bothered by the fact that [sp] the whole story pretty much did a 270 degree flip and went into a seemingly random direction with ghost-god-children and the cycle. It just didn't feel like the story from ME1 and 2 anymore[/sp] Could anyone list out though why most of you seem so angered? I mean it made me quite confused and sad but I don't see a reason to be mad at Bioware (yet?).
Why do people play female in any other RPG...
1) Woman who wants to play as a woman. 2) Men who wants to play as a woman for an alternate POV. 3) Men who want a nice ass to stare at. This isn't rocket science, folks.
Can I get a ME3 Vanguard save that is just after the Tuchanka "chunk"? Playing through these early levels over and over for different characters is becoming tedious quickly

I like to play as guys in my games. I also definitely misread your post and missed the key word "can", lol.
Male shepard isn't really good at emotions. I feel the ending won't be the final ending, and something happened internally seeing as how none of it seemed to be very well done. I think he does emotions fine- as Shepard. If it were another character I would agree with you.
3) Men who want a nice ass to stare at.
I don't know about you people, but when i'm running around in the third person I look at nearly everything other than my character's ass.
Well, yeah, pretty much. Again, it's just a matter of what kind of person you are. I am a forgiving person, I forgive.
Dude, that's ridiculous. You're ridiculous. This conversation is going around in circles because you just keep restating your original point, you're begging the question.
Can I get a ME3 Vanguard save that is just after the Tuchanka "chunk"? Playing through these early levels over and over for different characters is becoming tedious quickly
You can change your class with the help of a Save editor.
I don't know about you people, but when i'm running around in the third person I look at nearly everything other than my character's ass.
Even in the mass effect 1 elevators?
I don't know about you people, but when i'm running around in the third person I look at nearly everything other than my character's ass.
I didn't say it was a valid argument, but it is one I've seen.
Even in the mass effect 1 elevators?
I'd always rotate the camera around so I could see everyone.
Dude, that's ridiculous. You're ridiculous. I forgive them because I am a forgiving person. That's it.
I never play as females in RPGs! How does Jennifer Hale act circles around Mark Meer? What? Do people really think that?
total captain janeway vibe.
no. your entire crew is mysteriously back in the normandy for no reason
[sp]Which crashes on some planet with no way of escaping[/sp]
I must be the only one who doesn't care about the character I play and their gender. I guess Metroid makes you not give a shit :v:
Man, this is like Mass Effect's own version of that review of the Star Wars Prequels.
I must be the only one who doesn't care about the character I play and their gender.
No you're not. But when you're given the option to choose a gender, in a game with no randomizer, you choose a gender for a various number of reasons. Which is what is being discussed.
1) Woman who wants to play as a woman. 2) Men who wants to play as a woman for an alternate POV. 3) Men who want a nice ass to stare at. This isn't rocket science, folks.
1.) Most people who play ME/Fem are guys, but otherwise ok 2.) I...don't see how its that different really, and alternate POV implies they have played male shep, but I don't think most of them have 3.) wow
No you're not. But when you're given the option to choose a gender, in a game with no randomizer, you choose a gender for a various number of reasons. Which is what is being discussed.
I just choose which looks best or has the better acting. Typically that is male.
As a mainly femshep player I have to say Hale was horrible in ME2. Constantly sounding bored and husky. Was alright in ME1 (equal to Meer) and better than Meer in ME3. But opinions, of course.
Can somebody explain the appeal of "FemShep" for me?
Ehh, I guess it's because I can play as a lesbo? I don't really even know why I mainly choose female characters in RPGs. I can't really connect with the alpha as fuck male characters in romances maybe? But then again I have no intention of becoming a transsexual either. That's a really good question because I have no answer. Well, one thing is for sure though. When running around the Normandy for the billionth time chatting to squaddies or doing those tedious sidequests on the Citadel I'd rather watch dem femshep hips jiggle all over the screen. Because there is hardly anything else to look at.
Episode 6 of Marauder Shields.
Marauder Shields is Nihlus? It all makes sense now!
Listen to purgatory bar music, get a 98 on a school exam :v:
Ehh, I guess it's because I can play as a lesbo?
lesbifriends?
I don't know why, but when /vg/ put this music in Kai Leng's scenes it made it hilarious for some reason.
Ok now, I can get to playing. www.livestream.com/tinter
Streaming tomrrow again, same bat-time, same bat-channel.
Late, but is this true:
The ending was half-assed because of the leak. They changed it at the last minute so they could have more time to prepare the real ending via DLC. It’s called The Truth and it’s being released in April or May. You WILL be able to continue the story if you picked any of the endings. Your decision during that sequence will have a big effect on your ending of The Truth. The Truth adds two new sets of enemies, new classes, and multiplayer maps including “Firebase Hive”, which is a small area of the last remaining collector ship included in the DLC, which, by the way you should definitely bring Javik the Prothean along if you have him. The picture here shows some of the leaked multiplayer classes and races. One race that isn’t shown is the Prothean Adept and Vanguard. This DLC also enables the ability for owners of the preorder and From Ashes DLC to find their DLC weapons in reinforcement packs. All that content, and this might as well be labeled an expansion pack. And it’s free. You’re welcome.
I don't know if this is true or not but it's our there: http://www.gamefront.com/rumor-mass-effect-3-dlc-the-truth-due-in-april/
