Marauder Shields is Nihlus?
It all makes sense now!
This should be canon.
Late, but is this true:
I don't know if this is true or not but it's our there: http://www.gamefront.com/rumor-mass-effect-3-dlc-the-truth-due-in-april/
Not true at all. The only source is a post on /v/. That's it.
Not true at all. The only source is a post on /v/. That's it.
Oh.. then it's fake? Oh well, I'm done with Mass Effect. The journey was what counted for me.
actually for real, if marauder shields popped up at the end, but his named said 'Nihlus' i would have at least partly forgiven bioware.
Not 100% confirmed fake and I could see the MP classes happening, but you should definitely not count on it happening considering the source.

But will it be free.
But will it be free.
Probably not, but it's way too early to tell for certain.
I wonder if I'm the only person who's no longer utterly pissed at Bioware.
I am not pissed at Bioware.

As for the acting, I think Meer does a generally better job at embodying the role of Shepard and in Mass Effect 3 in particular, I'd say he does an even better job than Hale. Hale is a wonderfully talented voice actress but her depiction of Shepard never quite sat with me. Sounds too...husky.
Yeah, I am not saying Hale is a bad VA, but I never really liked her voice in ME1 and 2. 1, well, bored half the time(especially the BIG STUPID JELLYFISH). 2, maybe as a Paragon, but Renegade, she sucks. I mean, compare this:
Renegade(Poison the bartender):
MShep: DRINK IT, NOW!
FShep: Drink it, now.
The former sounds like you are pissed, and would probably make people shit their pants if someone you tried to kill via poison demanded you take the poison. The latter, just bored, not caring. But yes, Hale does some parts better, like ME3(mostly at the start of the demo/game), and [sp]ME2 when Shepard dies at the end.[/sp]
[sp]What's the proof that the Catalyst is Male and Female Shepard? I'm curious :P[/sp]

He isn't, however, the male and female shep voices do play when he is talking. One through the left channel one through the right. Along with his child voice.

It's funny how "drink it" is one of maleshep's most threatening lines.

Did anyone else laugh at male Shepard's "STEEEEEEEVE", followed by his normal emotionless "You sure?"
I'm playing the Arrival DLC right now, and I'm just wondering about the countdown timer. It goes down in real time if you look at it, so I was just curious if anything special happens when the countdown reaches 0, if that's even possible.

He didn't do it that way when I played through, but I saw the video and it was awesome.

CRITICAL MISSION FAILURE.

Yup, it's possible alright.

What video, and is it at the end of the game(about "you sure?")
Arrival countdown 0 - Reapers invade, kill/harvest/melt everyone, Kelly gets melted, mission failed.
Saw the Shepard VI video, what happened to the whole "Fix the problem yourself, I got a galaxy to save," or the "The galaxy is at stake, fix the problem yourself you lazy asshole."
Remember, someone said it was buggy and every time it crashed, it said something about the galaxy being at stake and you should fix the problem yourself.

You could have looked that up, rather than wasted many hours.
But I suppose it was fun...

That is so awesome
i love how marauder shields has taken on a life of its own
i find it amazing how an entire fanbase has rallied around a game and created its own mascot in a way, its own endings, its own awesome ideas, and has even raised money for charity
i think that there's something so much greater than hatred of the endings, but it has stuck to its original purpose in a good way. i like that. if bioware doesn't listen to this huge call for a new ending, they've fucked themselves over in a huge way

This game has seriously created a giant shit-storm.
It hasn't even sold the same amount of copies as some other games, but its fucking everywhere. Seriously this is the greatest shitstorm of our times.
I'll give Bioware that, better or worse. They sure do know how to create shitstorms.

I agree with both of you, this is way beyond anything bioware could have anticipated.

it was to be expected with all of the hype surrounding it. mass effect 3 was either going to be great or a massive shitstorm because of over-promotion, and it took a turn for the worst.
i will agree that this is probably one of the greatest video game shitstorms of our time. it's amazing to watch, in a way. i just really hope that bioware gives us something soon.
I agree with both of you, this is way beyond anything bioware could have anticipated.
Casey Hudson *did* want the game to be forever remembered.
Guess he got us there.
I swear gold level is filled with trolls who just love to leave half way through the game and screw over the other half of their team. It already happened to me fucking three times in the last hour.
Well, due to the high amount of spoilers in this thread I have decided to leave until I get the game, probably never.
#2 is understandable for 2nd playthrough on games like ME, #3 is just weird.
It's a well known and commonly used tactic in WoW to make a lot of gold by making a female Blood Elf and dancing in a capitol city. There are people with that very mindset of "play it because it's hot".
Personally, I can't stand playing a female character unless that is integral to the game (if the main character is inherently female, and not designed). I'm a guy. It breaks immersion, for me, if I'm playing as a girl. However, games where the protagonist is by design a female, don't really give me that problem. Then, it's just like I'm playing a really damn good story, as it should be.
He isn't, however, the male and female shep voices do play when he is talking. One through the left channel one through the right. Along with his child voice.
Woops, worded my question wrong, sorry, I'm so sick its stupid.

It breaks immersion for me when games make me play as a space marine even though I am not a space marine.
