and that my friend is a plot hole I'll fence it in the morning
But the retcons will sneak through and ruin our canon!
so technically they could've used that relay to open the citadel arms lol
This is a good point. Remember that whole Isaac Newton speech from ME2? Well, I definitely saw a lot of missed shots in that final space battle. And Earth was in the way of most of them. It didn't look like there was much in the way of "targeting" going on.

I liked the Chuck reference.
In other news, I'm just about to start the MP and I realized that my weight edit applies to multiplayer as well. Looks like I'll have to use a separate Coalesced every time I want to play MP. Don't also forget the terrible formation and the Reapers not using their better weapon range as an advantage.
[sp]you guys are seriously nitpicking over everything you rushingly think of and call it a plothole Sovereign raced to the citadel because of the realization that the protheans had reverse-engineered the TECHNOLOGY inside the citadel and thus the citadel is no longer working as intended meanwhile, it also houses the catalyst, but it is not the damn "reaper central AI" or whatever, he gave the reapers free will [/sp]
nice spoiler tags bro
The [sp]catalyst is the citadel[/sp] and it would have been able to open the portal to dark space.
but he can not communicate with the reapers, presumably he never had an idea he is a complete seperate being to the reapers. he presumably created harbinger and that's it, told him to kill everyone every 50000 years and make more reapers
Spoiler tags in that first post of yours Egevened, come on man.
I was thinking the whole time after [sp] the cerberus base [/sp] "holy shit i bet we get to go to ilos and go through the conduit again to get onto the citadel" then i was dissapointed Just another thing on the big list of things bioware forgot about, i guess.
why? it's not like people are discussing the gameplay or anything, all in this thread is about the endings. even when people try to be non-specific they blow off serious plot parts to people spoilers have no meaning here anymore, it's a war zone of concentrated nerd hate
Just because they didn't do it doesn't mean they forgot about it. Fighting on Earth is better than going to back to a location we'd already been to for the final level. You'd have called Bioware lazy if they did that.

There are people here who still haven't finished the game yet, some even ME2. Adding a [sp] is not so hard.
Ashley stop being a bitch.
I can see Javik is as friendly as ever.
The [sp]catalyst is the citadel[/sp] and it would have been able to open the portal to dark space.
At one time that's probably what happened, [sp]The Catalyst[/sp] would control the signal to The Keepers who would activate The Citadel Mass Relay, but then the Protheans came along and tampered with that. Then an organic, namely Saren, was needed to find an alternative because he had to use The Beacons to find The Conduit that the Protheans left behind.
I was thinking the whole time after [sp] the cerberus base [/sp] "holy shit i bet we get to go to ilos and go through the conduit again to get onto the citadel" then i was dissapointed Just another thing on the big list of things bioware forgot about, i guess.
Remember how in Mass Effect when you had the little timer to get to the Conduit? That was there because the Conduit was shutting down permanantly in that time.
I can see Javik is as friendly as ever.
Javik is a dick. Just play the Thessia mission.
Remember how in Mass Effect when you had the little timer to get to the Conduit? I know it'd take probably a lot of time but you'd think there might be some chance of restarting it with all the scientists you got together to build the crucible.
I can see Javik is as friendly as ever.
I like the direction on Shepard's response. Just the perfect aggravated "Thank you, EDI."
benwolfe still a bro
bro 4 lyfe dawg
I knew there was a timer but i didn't know if it was actually permanent or not.
Whats wrong with his hand [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/QE7eL.jpg[/thumb]
Invisible phone
Yeah I've noticed Shepard doing a lot of that Son Goku teleportation talking stuff.
Face it, Javik is a 50,000 years old troll.
Hey Tali, you don't look so good. http://i.imgur.com/kUynz.jpg Spoiler for those who haven't finished.
this is a good point, however, the very nature of the reapers makes them too damn proud to realize that they can even be beaten
So why do they utilize the Geth or the Rachni or anything if they think they cannot be beaten?
Hey Tali, you don't look so good. http://i.imgur.com/kUynz.jpg Spoiler for those who haven't finished.
that is hilarious
Hey Tali, you don't look so good. http://i.imgur.com/kUynz.jpg Spoiler for those who haven't finished.
[sp]Wait, so your squadmates ARE lying dead in the ending bit? I had a little look around but I couldn't see them. How are they alive again coming out of the Normandy later then? More evidence or simply more things Bioware overlooked?[/sp]
