Amazon is absurdly good when it comes to customer service. Might be a temporary loss (and they may not honor -every- return), but it guarantees customer loyalty in the future.

It's un-open. I know that in the UK at least if a product is unused and undamaged you have the right to take it back within 2 weeks and get a full refund. Amazon is not supporting protesters of ME3 endings, they're just following standard business practice.

Since all the talk is on endings, I guess I'll throw my 2 cents in.
[sp] I think what bothered me the most, aside from the writing quality and the endings being almost the same, is that it wasn't a happy ending. It might not be realistic, but after all my Shepard had gone through I felt like he deserved to hang up his rifle in peace, live with his love interest of choice, bro it up with Garrus, Grunt, Jacob, Vega, etc. It would've been more satisfying than the "he's probably gonna die" thing that I knew was going to happen once we started that final run to the conduit. IMO a single ending in its own right is not too bad (there have been WORSE endings to things) but when compared to the other two, or should I say, the colour corrections of itself.
Also, as much as the endings were a letdown, the retake mass effect campaign... i mean yes, it's nice to see people getting actively involved with charities, but i think there are better causes that "We hate the mass effect 3 ending."
I mean, when viewed from over here, a person who lowered their expectation because I knew it could never live up to how I imagined it. People going all out with the ME3 ending campaings seem rather butthurt.
In a funny kind of Irony, people bitching about the ending created a sort of "anti-Hype" as I played the game, I fully expected it to be terrible as all hell. Like Shaq-fu style bad. And in the end it wasn;t as bad as it way hyped up to be.
But, for the sake for fair argument, looking at it from the OTHER side, yes they made promises which they didn't, yes the ending wasn't really good enough to be worthy of the mass effect series. The potential that a good ending was cut in order to sell it as DLC... the though of it makes my blood boil. Although that is just rumour and may not be the case at all.
Either way, I'm hoping bioware remedies the situation because they have shown themselves to be a good company in the past. Some small amount of Free DLC to make a better ending. Heck it's the last five minuets of the game. It's less than the crap valve has given out for free and you would regain our trust.
On an unrelated note, some people I know pirated ME3 and then complained the ending sucked and bioware is a horrible company for getting into bed with EA. Now as they pirated the game, and thus aren't truly entitled to the content within it are they entitled to an opinion at all?

Why would someone not be entitled to his opinion whether he paid for the game or not? It's still the exact same software.
