My game crashes every now and then and it says the disc is unreadable, but it has no scratches nor any dust on it whatsoever.

Yeah and it was said it would take them close to a decade to process Earth. The galaxy is just far too big for something like the reapers standing a long term chance of keeping that cycle up, even if they leave behind scouts that would try to check for enemy activity.
Alternatively, imagine if a race decided to make something like a Von neuman drone, who's goal is defeat the reapers. And have the first few generations of these hide out in interstellar space.

MP is definitely not peer to peer. All the leader based coalesced ini hacks without synching errors pretty much confirm it. The fact that there's a party leader as well.
The game is server based - on the PC as at least.
