It's the default you start a new game with. (Some choices are made for you when you start a new game in Mass Effect 2 or 3.)
That makes a bit more sense I guess.
Some players have a particular Shepard that they pick as their "main" run, which is what they call their "canon Shepard"
Unless you're talking about something else..?
I know some plot points like Shepard dying in the beginning of ME2 are set and can't be changed by choices in game. But I was wondering more about the idea of a canon choice set. You can clearly see the developers have a set story but even with all the books and comics there is still a lot of ambiguity surrounding Shepard's story.
There's a field for final comments/suggestions in the survey now.
I'm going to have at least 500-something responses to go through by the time this is over. You guys are the best. :v:
Wouldn't you have really long cooldowns with that build?
Not really, The predator weighs almost nothing and does tons of damage with the barrel extension and the AR with upgrades and level ups are worth the weight

So spamming recruit packs for maximum Predator is worth it? Mine is rank V.
Just got into multiplayer, I already got a level 17 Soldier. But I can't find any damn assault rifles no matter how many packs I get.
I found about three SMG's though and countless SMG upgrades. I got the perfect plans for a Vanguard named Jamie Rollo.
I'm going to post here what I posted on the survey.
Please list any race that you were interested in pursuing a romantic relationship with that was not available in the Mass Effect trilogy and why, if applicable.
Bioware did a brillant job with the romances (as in developing the characters) on the second game, but lack of female salarians (or salarians in general), female turians and krogans makes me sad. I probably wouldn't romance all of them, but having the option would be nice.
If you believe there were romantic interests that were forced onto your character throughout the trilogy, please list them and provide an explanation below.
Ok, I feel that romances for the first and second are forced because they are less progression-based and more dialog-based. Example: Liara on ME1 and Jack on ME2.
Liara, a naïve alien aboards your ship. On three sidequests, she falls for you. What? Seriously? You can exploit your way to make her love you before half game. Best, if you DON'T want to romance her but like to do the 'upper corner right, i win' Paragon choices, guess what, she falls for you.
Jack is a similar case, but worse. She does falls for you, but ONLY as a Paragon (Renegade get the short end of the stick), and basically if you want to stay friends with her, you have to be FemShep or stop talking with her entirely. To me that sounds forced.
Also reputation-based romances killed ME2 to me.
Basically goes like this:
Paragon!ManShep: Tali, Jack
Renegade!ManShep: Miranda
Paragon!FemShep: Jacob, Thane
Renegade!FemShep: Garrus (even then he's so Paragade he probably doesn't fit here)
And if you want stay friends, should you be from the opposite gender or not talk with any of them after the strike at the Collector ship.
i just thought about how it would be cool if there was scene where an atlas fights a YMIR mech
Who is up to some MP? Add BurningTomato on Origin if you want to play some.
Just watched a 20 minute video on the [sp] ending indoctrination theory [/sp] I can see it now.
i just thought about how it would be cool if there was scene where an atlas fights a YMIR mech
Would be a really short fight. The YMIR would get stomped.

Added. I think we played yesterday, actually.
question, [sp] if you choose the good destroy ending and didn't have Galactic readiness to 100 and max military and if that this is part of the "indoc" theory, it didn't show me Shepard survived does this mean that he's dead?[/sp]
Just finished the Quarian(spelling) part of the game and Holy fuck, I dont know about all you haters but this game is pretty fucking intense so far, I love it. [sp] also to all you bitches about legion, people die, honestly it made the game more dramatic/intense when you found out what happened to him. [/sp]
So spamming recruit packs for maximum Predator is worth it? Mine is rank V.
I get almost all my stuff in Recruit packs, And yes. When i played adept and Vanguard in the demo, I rolled with Predator X, Extended Barrel V and Extended Mag V. It's great if you can do headshots with it. That and stasis took down Phantoms before they could get off a shot

According to the theory the fleets are destroyed before shep can wake up, thus ending the game

We did. I was there too! :v:

You need your EMS to be 5000 to [sp]have Separd 'survive',[/sp] and you can gather around 7500. Sadly this means you need to play multiplayer to get the 'best' ending.

yeah man what a fucking tragedy you have to play the really FUN and ADDICTIVE multiplayer
It's kinda sad how my Avenger is better than my Geth Pulse Rifle simply because it has more upgrades, gonna be impossible to upgrade my pulse rifle.
yeah man what a fucking tragedy you have to play the really FUN and ADDICTIVE multiplayer
Forcing you to play multiplayer to get the best singleplayer ending is dumb.
In my first playthrough it was really annoying when I found out I needed 4000 at least for the best ending. And I then had to go play multiplayer and interrupt my singleplayer session.
I knida wish you could get a Quarian Male in the MP though. they look so badass
yeah man what a fucking tragedy you have to play the really FUN and ADDICTIVE multiplayer
It shouldn't be required to be able to get the best ending in the game. Even if you get the last blue-colored dialogue option with TIM you still need 4000EMS which is impossible without MP.
And this is just one of those things bioware lied about.
Forcing you to play multiplayer to get the best singleplayer ending is dumb.
I had my EMS bar maxed out just by doing the side missions..

My face when I have 4100EMS and I have not played a SINGLE MP match yet.
I had my EMS bar maxed out just by doing the side missions..
That EMS bar does not mean "best" ending.
You need 4000 (without the final paragon/renegade choice otherwise it's 5000) for it and the most possible is in the 3600-3800 range or so.
I had my EMS bar maxed out just by doing the side missions..
Maxing it out will not do. Not for the 'best' ending atleast. A full bar is 3000 EMS; you need 4000+ for the best ending.
[editline]fuck[/editline]
Get bent, GetBent.
my face when I have 4100EMS and I have not played a SINGLE MP match yet.
I completed every side quest and did all the decisions that lead to maximum EMS and still couldn't get more than ~3700. Huh.
My face when I have 4100EMS and I have not played a SINGLE MP match yet.
Editing Coalesced values doesn't count.

Oh, wow. I guess I really did need to do those 4-5 multiplayer matches. :v:
