Not really, sacrifice the few for the many. You do it on Rannoch when you [sp]Sacrifice those quarian crew members to save Koris, so he can in turn lead the civilian fleet and it will sustain less casualties. And that was Paragon.[/sp]

The best part about it is that Bioware can just add on to what already exists.
They should have added a cutscene if the Reapers catch you while scanning, something dramatic showing everyone dying. Instead of just CRITICAL MISSION FAILURE.

There's still the rational part of my brain thinking they're just going along with it, but I really hope they had planned it all along. I hate it when good devs go bad.

It's pretty amazing, really. BioWare's generated such a loyal and forgiving fanbase, they're getting an opportunity no other developer would have ever gotten (except maybe Valve), but I don't think they understand just what that means, which is pretty sad.

I figured this would be the best place to ask this.
Now, I haven't finished Mass Effect 2 yet or started on Mass Effect 3. Maybe because of that I don't understand this, but does anyone else see this huge debacle about the ending is just a lot of stupid nerd rage? People are actually raising money to get the ending changed, people are saying they are done with the franchise/Bioware as a whole because of the ending, and are even requesting refunds under the plea of "false advertising." And the false advertising thing is about saying, "You promised us a good game and it wasn't," even though they all enjoyed the game apart from the ending (and what makes less sense is that a "good game" is subjective). It just seems a little immature and a jerkoff move really. It's as if the game/franchise as a whole doesn't mean anything to these people. All that effort, money, and time put into making the gameplay fun and everything and people are demanding money back and yelling at these people for a bad ending?
So, Dragon Age 2 expansion got canceled for "other opportunities". Not getting my hopes up, but I wish it has something to do with the ME3 outrage.
Taking the ending to the FTC is terrible. The ending was not that bad...

Honestly I don't think that the majority of people are refunding their game. They did say the endings would be the exact opposite of what they were though.

Eh. DAII DLC was okay-ish and actually improved on original game a fair bit, so hopefully we'll get similar quality here (barring the "okay-ish" ofc).

Its not nerdrage honestly, I showed my wife, who could care less about games, all the lies about the endings from Mike Gamble, Walter and Hudson, then showed her the endings, and she was like 'wtf, so they basically lied'. Yeah.
So I gotta wonder,
Who thought giving the phantoms a hand-pistol that nearly hits all the damn time, has long range and kills within 3 shots was a good idea?
This is nearly as bad as a group of banshees, so many times I have died because of a single phantom shot.
The more I re-watch the endings, the more I hope they're going to be re-done.
