Actually, I agreed with most of his points on Mass Effect 3. It did feel like there was a very, very miniscule amount of side content this time around, which is really disappointing. Although what he said during the credits (that fanboys are just complaining because the Mass Effect series is ending at all) is entirely untrue.
It isn't even ending. Bioware have always said that they'd make more ME games after ME3.
True, but changing will make them even worse and then they will just disregard the vanilla endings
But that's precisely what we want - another ending. I disagree with the idea of changing it will make it worse - I doubt it can get worse than that short of intergalatic supernova, wiping the galaxy clean of life forever and a day. No one is mad that the Mass Effect series is (allegedly) ending, we're mad that the ending made no sense in regards to everything we've seen, done, and learned playing all 3 games in the series. And we're supposed to accept it no questions asked?
It's funny because in pretty much every comments section of any article defending the endings and calling the fanbase "whiny and entitled", pretty everyone is calling the writers of the articles out on their bullshit.
True, but changing will make them even worse and then they will just disregard the vanilla endings
which is bad...How?
which is bad...How?
Can you even fucking read man?!?!?!?! I SAID MAKE THEM WORSE!
Can you even fucking read man?!?!?!?! I SAID MAKE THEM WORSE!
They're incomplete, they have no closure, THEY CAN'T GET ANY WORSE.
They're incomplete, they have no closure, THEY CAN'T GET ANY WORSE.
So do we think until BAM! shit hits the fan with such force that we cannot take it
WHY ARE WE SHOUTING?!?
I'm loving mass effect 3 so far, every thing is perfect but I am afraid of getting to the ending
So do we think until BAM! shit hits the fan with such force that we cannot take it
The synergy ending was that.
T-minus 5 until someone types 'LOUD NOISES'.
I'm loving mass effect 3 so far, every thing is perfect but I am afraid of getting to the ending
Yup, prepare to cry in the shower for atleast a week.
I'm loving mass effect 3 so far, every thing is perfect but I am afraid of getting to the ending
be afraid. Everything holds up pretty well until then though.
The synergy ending was that.
So it was but think of it ten times worse. Then you get Bioware's crappy alternate ending
I'm loving mass effect 3 so far, every thing is perfect but I am afraid of getting to the ending
That's how I felt most of the time. "Man, this shit's amazing so far. I don't see how this stuff I'm hearing about the ending could possibly be true."
The new DLC is just going to be the removal of the 'Critical Mission Failure' if you shoot [sp]the Catalyst. You shoot him, it's the end, congratulations.[/sp]
That's how I felt most of the time. "Man, this shit's amazing so far. I don't see how this stuff I'm hearing about the ending could possibly be true."
If we didn't count the goddamn sad moments when the characters you technically lived with the second game died.
I don't think the game was "amazing" up til the ending necessarily. The main questline was great, yes. But the other stuff. No exploration, side quests that amount to scanning a system, scanning a planet, then left clicking and not getting to actually go to the surface of the planet to boost a number wasn't exactly fun.
So it was but think of it ten times worse. Then you get Bioware's crappy alternate ending
The Animal house ending that's been posted about a billion times is better than what we have. I fail to see how much lower we can go.
The new DLC is just going to be the removal of the 'Critical Mission Failure' if you shoot [sp]the Catalyst. You shoot him, it's the end, congratulations.[/sp]
Makes no fucking sense! Then how do we stop the Reapers then?
Makes no fucking sense! Then how do we stop the Reapers then?
[sp]Space Magic[/sp]
Makes no fucking sense! Then how do we stop the Reapers then?
It would have been far better if there was an ending where you didn't stop them. The game lacks this level of choice.
The new DLC is just going to be the removal of the 'Critical Mission Failure' if you shoot [sp]the Catalyst. You shoot him, it's the end, congratulations.[/sp]
Wait, you are joking, right?

No exploration, side quests that amount to scanning a system, scanning a planet, then left clicking and not getting to actually go to the surface of the planet to boost a number wasn't exactly fun.
But landing on random planets in ME totally ruined the pace for me when driving around in the shitty Mako, and ME2's scanning was tedious at best. The only thing they should have kept was the missions like in ME2, where you land on a planet and have a shoot-out or walk around repairing something, then go back out. Those were to the point and interesting. But at this point I felt like the main story was also the most important one, so I didn't really mind that much in my first playthrough.
[sp]Space Magic[/sp]
or maybe just with that huge fucking fleet you spent the whole game amassing which, if the game made sense and they all had Thanix cannons, could kill off most of the Reapers pretty easily, for them being Cthulhu and all I mean it would pretty much just be a really really big space-battle if they all had Thanix cannons like they were meant to
Makes no fucking sense! Then how do we stop the Reapers then?
High enough warscore and maybe the fleet deals with the reapers with heavy losses, but wins in the end?
High enough warscore and maybe the fleet deals with the reapers with heavy losses, but wins in the end?
where's that flow-chart of how the endings should have been
