Origin just gave me an extra BF3 code, that was nice of them. I had already preordered ME3.

they couldn't give much plot away in the first place, it's just a demo

Apparently they needed to be under a size limit to release the demo. I don't know if that has anything to do with it.
Either way, if it is just bad logic, that's what they said they did.
I thought the Earth bit was extremely forced, shitty lookng and on the whole melodramatic and unfocused. I was about to stop playing then the [sp]Salarian homeworld bit started up and it was fucking awesome, quality redeemed.[/sp]
I really liked a lot of parts of the demo. The beginning was really intense(Still don't see how someone new to the series would understand what the hell is going on). I also really liked the conversations the one where you were moving with Anderson was really cool.
I liked Earth, save for the fact that it felt somewhat rushed, and the scenes involving the kid. Hell if they just cut out the scene with the vents, it would have been somewhat better.

The combat was fun and the level was pretty fun from a cinematic perspective (reapers dropping down and Alliance fighters dogfighting Oculi? Sweet!) So I don't exactly see what was so bad about the Earth level.
Hell, I'm beginning to warm up to the new ME3.
Earth was my favourite part of the demo by a long shot. I just wish I didn't have to wait till Friday to play the co-op.

Man, just as I was warming up to the multiplayer...
Finally got a good group, finally was getting good accuracy and FINALLY completing objectives when the game glitched out completely. It was like that bug with the sky in the end of Garrus' loyalty in ME2 except it affected the whole screen. I couldn't move, sound was glitched, but I could still see score being given to teammates and I even somehow got assists. But I wouldn't die for some reason so I had to quit. We NEARLY finished it and I leveled up a few times but I lost ALL of it.
The game continued to glitch until I quit completely. I wouldn't be so mad about it just I was finally getting somewhere with the objectives and everything.
Oh well. My origin I think is Garfield_Logan. PC, hope to play with some of you.
The Earth part reminds me so much of Crysis.
The rolling around is annoying when I'm trying to pick up ammo or activate something..
and.. low res textures.. ah well.

I've been playing the MP and its good but I have a serious problem.
It seems like none of my powerups on my Engineer are set except for Incinerate. If I want to use the other ones I have to go press Shift and click on them which is really hard in the middle of a fire fight. How can I set them? I tried holding down Shift and dragging and dropping (both right click and left click) and I can't drag the powerups to 1-8. What do I do?

Multiplayer is locked unless you own BF3.
Multiplayer opens up for everyone on the 17th I believe.

The Earth level felt a bit short to me, but other than that I enjoyed it. Like I said the other day - it gave me some series War of The World vibes (2005 movie, not the novel or the older movie) - the Reapers touching down and then walking off while blasting shit reminded me of the tripods walking around and torching everything.
I'm getting mixed vibes from all of the comments, so...
