Drew had the right idea, only the wrong team.
I didn't like the "humans are super special" part of it. But it's better than what we got.
Drew had the right idea, only the wrong team.
According to Drew the team never took the idea seriously, not even he took it seriously.
It's a real shame that game developers are still so terrified of anatomy or anything remotely sexual (even when it's meant for a fucking sex scene). There was no big fuss when the Witcher 2 showed naked breasts. There was a bit of "Ew gross" when GTA4: TLaD showed some guy's dick but mostly it was a non-issue. I understand that Bioware's probably still a bit scared because of the Fox News shit from ME1, but that was 5 years ago, it's time to grow some balls and show us what we want. Tits and dicks. Amirite?
It also has to do with overprotective parents that have no problem with ripping someone's spine out through their neck, but if they see one mention of mild sexual references on that classification sticker then it's goodbye game and goodbye 12 year old gamers who apparently make up 80% of all sales. Also body image really should be considered. I know they're ubermensch and all but people don't look like that. While it's probably not a good example given it's a quick grab of my huge Orc character, Skyrim characters seem to be significantly better at portraying people in realistic fashions rather than idealised ones. They are still far bigger than the average person, but they aren't supermodel creepy proportioned.
I hate how they moved him over to SWTOR right before ME3. That was just the worst idea ever.
Didn't he retire for his own reasons? Wanted to write books and dedicate his life to being an author.
50 missiles 71 thermal clips 3 survival packs 7 medigels jesus fuck
I'd prefer a satisfying ending.
tits and dicks lead to satisfaction though...
I didn't like the "humans are super special" part of it. But it's better than what we got.
Might as well say "I didn't like the "Shepard is super special" part of it". I mean, if he didn't touch that Eden prime Beacon, nothing would've happened and the Reapers would've raped the world like usual. You could go deep into circumstances/plot hole such as this, but I disregard them otherwise there wouldn't be any story.
I didn't like the "humans are super special" part of it. But it's better than what we got.
Oh, now that conversation with Mordin during his loyalty makes sense. When you find the dead human and Shepard mentions that she was used because humans have the most genetic diversity of all the known races. I love Drew more because of the nice subtle foreshadowing.
Dante's Inferno and Duke Nukem Forever were terrible though. When I say I want tits and dicks I mean I want them done in a tasteful manner, not over the top adolescent crap.
It might be because I've never played God Of War, but I found Danté's Inferno to be fun. DNF, on the other hand, was just a tragic ride through the entire time... it progessively got harder to play.
According to Drew the team never took the idea seriously, not even he took it seriously.
Problem is that Casey Hudson decided to do the ending on his own, rather than to listen to the team. It's like he's the only one to blame.
Didn't he retire for his own reasons? Wanted to write books and dedicate his life to being an author.
What? I never heard of this. Huh.
I seem to recall hearing that it was possible to just shoot the operators of Atlas's from the machines, rather than go through the hassle of blowing up the machine itself, but I can't figure out how. Was that just developmental fluff that they decided to get rid of?

Although the windows aren't health based and instead number of shots taken. So as you level it gets harder because you just kill it.

so would anyone be interested in a stream? if so, me1, 2 or 3?

Was that just developmental fluff that they decided to get rid of?
You can shoot the glass through and kill the operator (weak point #1) or attack the mech from their back (weak point #2) [editline]22nd March 2012[/editline]
What?
so would anyone be interested in a stream? if so, me1, 2 or 3?
All, create the perfect save and play through every game doing all content. Bonus points if you manage to do it in less than 3 days.
http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/17/bioware-lead-writer-drew-karpyshyn-leaves-bioware/
"He cites Dragon Age 2 as reason that '"BioWare can get along just fine without me.'" Good one Drew.
So, unlocked Krogan Sentinel today...he's already level 14. Revenant + charging Headbutt all day erry day.
"He cites Dragon Age 2 as reason that '"BioWare can get along just fine without me.'" Good one Drew.
Either he knew it was a bad idea to continue working with the Bioware team, or he didn't expect Dragon Age 2 to be such a massive failure. [editline]22nd March 2012[/editline]
All, create the perfect save and play through every game doing all content. Bonus points if you manage to do it in less than 3 days.
That's impossible, 100% mass effect 1 is AT least 60-70 hours, and three days is 72 hours. :v:
So, unlocked Krogan Sentinel today...he's already level 14. Revenant + charging Headbutt all day erry day.
Reminds me of the [sp] Shadow Broker [/sp] :v:
Is it okay that I still can't take fighting [sp]Kai Leng[/sp] seriously?
I haven't played the full games multiplayer, but when I was playing the mass effect 3 demo multiplayer the score you got from killing an enemy was based on how much damage you did to it, so even if a vanguard stole a kill he'd only get like 80 score to your 200 or something. Seems like a good system and it doesn't actually count kills so I dont really see why kill steal matters. Except for those medal things I guess, I forgot about those.
I wonder if anyone has done a complete playthrough without romancing anyone.
Is it okay that I still can't take fighting [sp]Kai Leng[/sp] seriously?
I would have totally wiped the floor with his ass the first time if he didn't have super-invincible shielding.
I wonder if anyone has done a complete playthrough without romancing anyone.
I have. It's worth it knowing Tali and Garrus have someone even if I die :(
~Nostalgia~ Also, hi Sovereign. [t]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/596965912740205382/E585AA0BD39540E5926E096037B4E1DECCC24420/[/t]
I wonder if anyone has done a complete playthrough without romancing anyone.
My first Shepard is like that. No romances, no paragon, no renegade, just an average lonely middle man.
That's impossible, 100% mass effect 1 is AT least 60-70 hours, and three days is 72 hours. :v:
Either you're joking or I'm doing something wrong. I do every single mission except the meaningless fetch quests on uncharted worlds (definitely not worth the frustration), and I can 100% the game on Hardcore in less than 25 hours.
