[Sp]So, I just had to kill Legion. I couldn't do it to the Quarians. I wanted to, but I couldn't. :([/sp]
you could have saved them both, you know
[editline]23rd March 2012[/editline]
i take it you didnt do those missions where you see the history and how the quarians completely betrayed the geth
So, between a race of badass robot bros and a race of whiney Space-Gypsies, you chose the whiney space gypsies?
What
But Tali...
I hope you realize [sp] Legion Dies either way[/sp]
To be honest this game works in a real dick move way with this abstract point-system, which I guess is supposed to count all your story-events, but it seems really prickish.
Hey, you want to save these two races? Too bad, you have to be just like them and cause a fucking genocide.

Yep, after that mission, [sp]if I had to choose between Geth and Quarians, I would save robots.[/sp]
It made me sad when one of the Geth [sp]was being turned off, and it genuinely couldn't understand why.[/sp]
the thing with the quarians is that it's mostly the fucking idiotic government and not the whole race's fault, there were still the protesters who tried to save them.

I didn't. But even then, the Geth killed a lot of things, not just Quarians. And I couldn't save both, I was off by a point.
The worst part was [sp]Legion, by far. If he didn't attack me, he wouldn't have had to die in that way. Regardless, Tali comforted him a bit so it is what it is. Plus, I don't think I would've handled Tali killing herself.[/sp]
[editline]23rd March 2012[/editline]
Wait what mission is that? The server one? Yeah, I went to the base first unknowingly.
But Tali...
A spaghetti filled Space-Gypsie with a stock-photo face made you kill Legion?
Why man, why
Also, Liara is better <3

Seriously did you guys completely ignore the plot-point where Legion says he has to go anyway.
I hope they add more multiplayer modes in the future. Like full up to 4 player missions, where you have to infiltrate a base or things along those lines.

I think he's comparing killing, to dying. I felt awful. The whole soul thing and stuff :(
Tali's never saved you as I can recall.
Liara's the only reason you're alive in ME2 and 3.

Legion was screwed anyway.
All pre-order/N7 content can be unlocked with minor .ini editing. 'From Ashes' cannot; while most of the Javik content is already installed, the Eden Prime mission and his Normandy dialogue is not.
Is there a guide on how to do this .ini editing? I'd love to have the content unlocked.

That's pretty out of random, but if we're going to compare Squadmates, than I guess this means every other one is basically useless compared to Liara too.
Come on, let me in.
Aria's expecting me, ugh!

Or I could just save both races and call it a day.
Arvuti pretty much lives in his Lingerie in Mass Effect. You should ask him about it.
Than you completely missed the rest of my post where I said the point system is completely abstract and fucks over players in an oddly contrived way.

I disagree. I think the point system they imposed has very clear consequences that make sense given what we know of the lore. The "reputation" system might be a little arbitrary (I'm Commander GODDAMN Shepard, y u no listen?), but the 0-7 scale they gave for the quarian/geth conflict makes sense to me.
Tali's exiled or Dead? Well, she's not an admiral now so she can't help talk the fleet down.
Rewrote the heretics? Well, the geth are stronger so they wipe out more quarians and engender even more distrust.
Legion's dead? Didn't get to even make the heretic decision in ME2, nor could you build a trust with the Geth.
Didn't save Koris? Can't marshal the Civilian Fleet to do the right thing.
Sounds right to me.
Oh my GOD!

Annoyed: If she were expecting you, you would be in already
(or something akin to this)

I had Tali exiled, and she still was referred to as Admiral.

Well shit, that's unexpected.

Shows what kind of standards the Quarians have for leadership roles.
Speaking of which, didn't half of her men desert from her, and the other half die when she was in charge of a small squad? (Beginning of ME2)
Dunno, but I wouldn't make someone like that Admiral

Sure it makes a bit of sense, but it just seems so out of blue. I don't think its so much the consequences or points I have issue with, as more of the fact that it takes control away from the player. (I don't need personal empowerment, but this and Arrival are basically the only times this really happens in Mass-Effect) and more importantly, feels like the only decision with consequences. (At-least from past actions). But who knows, I played the cards right, so maybe I didn't see any other fuck ups.
Is anybody streaming? Because I just spent a long time trying to set all this up so it was working right, and my friend said it was alright and it wasn't lagging. So if nobody is streaming I'll stream.

I planned to, but go ahead, my stream would have been shit anyway.
And noone else is streaming as far as I'm aware
(Will your stream include HOT DICKINGS?)

I think it's exactly the opposite. The 0-7 scale gives COMPLETE control to the player on how they want the conflict to play out. Your choices either help or hurt one of the races, and if you piss them off too much then they won't be inclined to listen to you.
Matter of fact, when it comes to "Your Choices Matter," I think the Genophage and Rannoch conflicts were handled damn near perfectly.

It wasn't the fact that she lost a lot of men in both missions you see her in, it's the fact that even though the team that were supposed to protect her were all killed, and she alone got the mission done.
