Seriously, the decisions in ME1/2 were PEANUTS. They did what they were meant to - Give you an advantage in the final battle in the form of extra resources.

Yeah I agree that saving the council / saving the reaper base / killing the rachni queen wouldn't realistically effect the ending, but they could easily include those decisions into the final cut scenes somehow. Like the destiny ascension blowing shit up or some rachni soldiers taking out some husks. Each thing wouldn't need more than like 5 or 6 seconds of screen time to still make your ending more unique to you, even if it ends the same way with the reapers blowing up/winning etc.

Yeah, that's what I was getting at. That's all it really needed to make it better.

They're quite easily missed.
For example; on Mars, you have to pick the left option for the moral choices to open up. This repeats through the game.

I don't care what anyone says, i would love to see this. Only if all the guns were there, each race and class had its own benefits and it still used mass effect style features.
And maybe a multiplayer mode where one team has to fight a (Small) reaper controlled by one teams leader, and the others are husks, banshees etc. etc. L4D style. The other team needs to destroy the reaper to win, by heavy ordinance or maybe even climbing on board, invoking some tactical team gameplay?

I've finally gotten around to reading the ITN thread about a modified ending in the works, but to be honest, Bioware's already lost my trust with what they pulled off here. Hell, even if it's free and the exact kind of ending we've been wanting, it's the simple fact they were incapable of giving us a proper ending in the first place.

I still don't think the ending is as bad as people are making it out to be.
I mean everyone's like [B]OH MY GOD THIS ENDING IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE AND RUINED MASS EFFECT FOREVER[/B] whereas actually it's just got some significant flaws and maybe doesn't make the player's choices throughout the series seem important.

[sp]The way I see it Legion didn't die as such, I mean, from the start he never really was a specific individual, more a collection of the geths' consciousnesses (Is that a word?). In the end all he was doing was splitting up and making them all individuals, which was the whole purpose of the Geth plotline.
Tali doesn't kill herself unless you allow Legion to update the Geth and fail to make the fleet stand down, resulting in the destruction of the migrant fleet.[/sp]
