As far as I know you can't, which gave me some serious problems in the Demo because most of my classes had their hotbar empty, so I had to use that terrible shift-key interface.

Bronze you get a decent taste of all the enemy types. You'll see a couple Banshees the whole round.
Silver, you'll get them earlier and see more of them.
Gold? round 3. START. *SCREEEEEEEEEEEEE* and by round 10 all you're hearing is that screech as 6 simultaneous banshees covered by 4 brutes and supported by 3 ravagers all come around the corner with all the little spaces inbetween flooded with marauders and cans with them practically launching husks at you.
I was talking to Cortez in the Citadel on the Normandy Dock level, and I fell through the floor into the refugee camp with everything loaded.
Must have been the Reapers.
