It always amazes me how much effort writers can go through to make a character ax-murdering evil, and it still gets fangirls/boys. I thought they just added Morinth in for Renegade Shepards who didn't want some super space paladin coming after them, but apparently you could have Morinth sitting on a throne of babies she raped to death, and some people would still love her.
My brother's having trouble importing his ME2 save (Xbox 360). ME3 just doesn't want to detect it. He started a no import game, but after we looked at the canon choices for it he immediately stopped cause they're terrible. Do you guys know a good fix for this? It sounds like he might be able to just re-play the ending of ME2 and it'll be fine, but dunno.
That's what I was thinking, but it's not just the face, it's the whole save, which may be another problem. It just doesn't detect any pre-existing Shepards to import.
For some reason it's impossible to import cloud saves into ME3.
The following scenarios will result in no import functionality:
Moving your save file from the hard drive disc to the cloud.
Moving your save file to another Xbox 360 system via the cloud (instead of a memory card, transfer cable or Xbox 360 formatted USB stick).
Solution to scenario 1:
Move your save file from the cloud back onto the hard drive from which it originated, i.e. the Xbox 360 you originally created the save file on.
Solution to scenario 2:
Move your save file from the cloud back onto the hard drive from which it originated, i.e. the Xbox 360 you originally created the save file on.
Using a memory card, Xbox 360 formatted USB stick, or the Official Xbox 360 HDD transfer cable, transfer the save file to the new Xbox 360.
Currently there is one scenario in which you might not salvage the completed, endgame save file: if you have ever moved your file to the cloud and the original system is not available to transfer it back to.
While it's possible that one might be able to reload a non-original save game near the end of Mass Effect 2 to "re-finish" the game to populate a new endgame save, we unfortunately cannot guarantee that this will work with certainty.
Lastly, you may also experience importing issues if you've downloaded or used custom Mass Effect 2 saves, or have edited your own save using a community-created program. We understand this may be a great setback to those impacted who have been following the Mass Effect franchise over the years. We thank you for your patience.
Alright, been avoiding this thread since release, time to give my final verdict

Everything up to the very end was great, and the ending was... Okay I guess. Pretty clear they made it with lodesemoney of follow up dlc in mind.
But the one thing that blew my mind was...
This guy

I can understand the dislike but I enjoyed 95% of the game so well worth it IMO

Also, I would love a DLC that explains the beginning of the Mass Effect universe a bit.
While laying in my bed I thought it out :
In the beginning, there was one race ; Humanoid beings (2 arms and standing on 2 legs). They where the first civilization. They where highly advanced. They start exploring space. But the conclusion was sad, they were the only life in the entire galaxy. No other planet or system had any form of life on it.
This made them sad, being the only living race in the galaxy made them feel lonely. So they decided to spread life across the galaxy. Inhabitable and habitable. To see how life would evolve. But there was one problem, letting this very primitive life evolve would need thousands or millions of years to get to something they can interact with. So they created the first synthetic race, which would later become the reapers. They found out the "reapers", much smaller as the reapers we know now, more like the geth, rebelled against the creators. They wanted to whipe them out but they couldnt, they were heavily outnumbered. Then they made the ultimate sacrifice, they sacrificed themselves to fuse with the reapers, so they could merge into a giant machine with only one goal ; prevent what happened before. In the hope the life they planted would evolve sooner or later, the reapers created the Mass Relays and The Citadel. So no race would ever be destroyed again by synthetics. Once a race would find The Citadel, they would be harvested and converted into Reaper-tech so they would live on forever as the balancers of the galaxy. The first race that got harvested, are what we know as the Keepers. They were very special, being the first race harvested they got the task of maintaining The Citadel.
It turns out, as the Prothean VI said, in every cyle the same pattern occurs, but in different forms.
Would explain why mostly humanoid races are most successful, since they are like the first race. Protheans, Humans, Asari etc.
I doubt it will ever happen but it would be nice though. The way Bioware fucked up the ending only lets room for prequels.
I kind of feel bad for Bioware.
I mean they probably thought the ending was perfect but now they're seeing all this backlash it must be heartbreaking, they put so much work in and now loads of people are complaining about it "Sucking".
I'd feel horrible if that happened :(

They didn't put a lot of work into the ending, that is what makes it so sad.

You might say that but they probably spent ages thinking out "Okay, so how the hell are we going to end this thing?", hell, they've probably been doing that since the end of the first game.
Just because it seems bad to you doesn't mean they haven't put shitloads of effort into it.

Read their "finall hours" ( or whatever it's called) app. They intentionally made the ending suck varren dick

I fail to see where the effort in the ending was, it all seemed half assed which is sad because the rest of the game wasn't.

But it's hard to praise it when they fucked up so badly. They completely forgot why people play and enjoy the series, and decided to make something that made no sense and robbed the player of any sense of satisfaction. Then, after making it intentionally ambiguous and nonsensical, they claimed that it was going to be definitive and would not leave any loose ends.
I find it a little hard to feel bad for them right now. Well, at least those who thought the ending was a good idea. I only feel bad for the level designers, voice actors, etc. who still did their job right.
Also, this is not how it was originally planned to end.
anyone else find the amount of enemies in mass effect 3 compared to 1 and 2 kind of pathetic?

Nope. Not if you just leave out all of the enemies that are just the same enemies with slightly different skins/models/names.
Plus, I see the ME3 enemies as quality over quantity. They are actually threatening, unlike many of the enemies from ME1 and 2.
I have to admit I missed fighting Geth Collosi :(

Sure, there are fewer, but ME3 enemies are way better.
It is so annoying, when your squadmates shoots the geth that you hacked. They think: "Oooooh, something is glowing on him, must shoot, im sure it receives 150% more damage with this orange static field.."
God damn it...
