[sp]jesus, fuck kai leng. the end might have not been so bad if he hadnt meddled, goddamn. the scene at the end of thessia with the reapers coming down and the commandos not being able to hear you is so fucking shit boilingly irritating you can sense shepards simmering rage and disillusionment[/sp]
as frustrating as it was they really did a good job with the emotions in that scene
It was a badly done scene. I shot down at least three similar gunships in ME2, why is it suddenly impossible just because it's shining its light on you?
the collectors would make a good new enemy for multiplayer, they have tons of variety. i doubt destroying the base was the death of every collector in the galaxy so it would make some sense to fight them as bioware is trying to make the multiplayer canon.
Well, looks like the ending was (unsurprisingly) rushed. Food for thought below.
The final section was supposed to vary based on your EMS with regards to who turned up to battle you:
[sp]Anderson: Hackett just reported in several Sovereign-class Reapers including Harbinger have broken off from the battle with Sword they're headed here. (In-game)
Anderson: Hackett just reported in several Sovereign-class Reapers have broken off from the battle with Sword they're headed here. (Cut #1)
Anderson: Hackett just reported in several Reapers have broken off from the battle with Sword they're headed here. (Cut #2)[/sp]
There's dialogue that seems to be Joker covering your run to the Conduit:
[sp]Joker: I wasn't going to let you guys take all the credit!
Anderson: Joker, good timing.
Anderson: Joker, are you a sight for sore eyes.
Joker: Now get the hell in there so we can end this!
Joker: Ah, late to the party but the girls are coming home with me.
Joker: Just make sure EDI gets back in one piece.
Joker: That was for Cortez![/sp]
Jack was intended to turn up with her biotic squad:
[sp]Jack: Keep it up. You can rest when you're dead.
Jack: Come on, all together!
Jack: And whatever happens... I am so damn proud of you guys.
Jack: So, heads down, barries up, watch your flanks.
Jack: You can do this. I mean damn, you're keeping step with career soldiers. You are kicking ass.
Jack: This is the perfect time to be scared. I'd be worried if you weren't.
Jack: We've been fighting hard. Saw some things we've never seen before, and we're getting ready to make the push.
Jack: How you feelin' guys? Huh? Tired? Scared? Good.[/sp]
Zaeed & Jacob were supposed to help you fight as NPCs:
[sp]Zaeed: Hell, never did think I'd live forever!
Zaeed: Grab cover!
Zaeed: Ha, got another!
Zaeed: That one's dead, keep moving!
Zaeed: Burn you son of a bitch!
Zaeed: Set up a crossfire!
Zaeed: I don't know what we're fighting, but get on it's left.
Zaeed: Shit![/sp]
[sp]Jacob: Bring it!
Jacob: Got another one!
Jacob: Push!
Jacob: This is my planet you assholes!
Jacob: Keep it up!
Jacob: Lets go![/sp]
And additionally Grunt and the rest of Aralakh Company were also present as combat NPCs:
[sp]Grunt: For the Krogan!
Grunt: Forward!
Grunt: Make 'em bleed!
Grunt: Move, move, mooove!
Grunt: You gonna let a few Reapers stop you?
Grunt: For Tuchanka!
Grunt: Ready to fight Shepard.
Grunt: Aralakh Company is ready to finish this.
Grunt: You sure know how to show a Krogan a good time![/sp]
Finally, it seems that Kirrahe was intended to show up in-combat leading the STG, along with a platoon of Geth Prime, regardless as to whether or not [sp]the Krogan leader or Tali are dead[/sp].

yeah and r/masseffect is trustable info
I'm still wanting the theme when the Crucible and the Catalyst connect. It's so "epic"
[editline]25th March 2012[/editline]
Also "A Future for the Krogan" is amazing.
yeah and r/masseffect is trustable info
Not necessarily. But I'm pretty sure the game's dialogue files are.

it's obvious fanfiction
"joker you are a sight for sore eyes"? seriously? anderson says that to shepard twice
I blame the people who leaked the original document for the game's ending

Shame that the ending is exactly like in the leak

because Kai Leng wills it and the universe goes with it because Kai Leng is a dick like that

I wasn't being hyperbolic. That dialogue -is- in the game's dialogue files.
Here's a full dump of the game's dialogue trees.
That line you cite is in there for a start.

And Anderson tells Shepard he's from London twice, and Shepard acts surprised both times.
With an oversight like that wouldn't you think that is possible?

"Edi, What did i tell you about practical jokes"
By the way, does someone here have the gif of an Alliance Marine turning into a Husk?
You know, it always bothered me - Why is it that when you go through a mass relay, everyone isn't blasted to the back of the ship by the sheer velocity?

Mass Effect fields

it's an investigate option at first. was possibly overlooked for that reason
Mass Effect fields
So basically, Mr. Bean?
Space Magic

Mass Relays don't as much fling you as it does create a tunnel of negative-mass space around the ship, and everything in it.
hahaha are you guys seriously criticizing mass effect for mass effect fields now
No one is criticizing anything?
hahaha are you guys seriously criticizing mass effect for mass effect fields now
Uh...no. Pretty sure they're using Mass Effect fields to explain how the fiction works.
Also, if you folks didn't see it on r/masseffect this morning, this guy does a fantastic job discussing why the ending is shit.
One of my favorite quotes from the article:
A lot of detractors of the Retake Mass Effect movement say that fans shouldn’t have any say in how the ending of story is told, and that those that complain about the ending are entitled brats. The phrase they like to pull out is artistic integrity. Even the co-founder of Bioware, Ray Muzyka, used this term artistic integrity to defend the ending in his statement. But allow me to counter:
No one with any artistic integrity would have let that absolute debacle of an ending be released. No one. The ending was so inexcusable on so many levels, that I can’t help but laugh at people’s attempts to defend it by calling it art. As if Art were not subject to ridicule and criticism.
Was the scene where Reaper Destroyer lands on top of the Turian Dreadnought cut from the actual cinematic in-game? I remember seeing the Turian's inside get vaporized in another trailer also, but I never saw that part in my playthrough. Same thing with the scene after it, the dogfight near the Asari Dreadnought, and where an Alliance fighter crashes into the side of one of the ships.
Makes me wonder how much else was cut from the game due to console limitations with game sizes.

He pretty much nailed it perfectly. Artistic integrity my ass, it's just a piss poor excuse. I would be ashamed to defend that shitty ending, even if I was the damn co-founder of the company. I'd apologize to the fans, tell them I'll fix it and ask them for patience and understanding. Then I'd go to ME team and rain havoc on the people responsible for the fuck up. He's just making a fool of himself by defending that debacle.

No, I saw both of those scenes in my ending. The Reaper landing on the Taurian Deadnaught and the alliance fighter crash were both in my ending.
