this is kind of awkward
Especially seeing as this is the Mass Effect thread.
Yes, yes it is awkward of you to post that here.

You tell me, that doesn't look very Mass Effect like.
i posted in the wrong thread, fuckin tabs
Unfortunately that is a main reason why people are put off, because they have some stupid stereotype of anime being terrible...
You being annoyingly defensive about some cultural bias that may or may not be present in no way mitigates how much this is going to fucking suck.
Dude guys its the new DLC and he's a bioware employee being enigmatic and tricky, it seems like it has no barring on the thread but in reality its hinting to other dimensions and how the characters of Mass Effect will come from a different dimension and gjgrgjpajgrpargjawrg
he's actually pretty unremarkable, he does semi-cool shit once in a blue moon and doesn't really do anything else pretty much
I mean the way you guys talk about him you'd think Hamburger Helper managed to break into Bioware headquarters and add him in before security tranquilized her
that's the thing
he's boring at best, annoying at worst.
Not exactly protagonist material.

I have posted 2 posts about this, I really don't see why you're so upset towards me, its immature and illogical, calm down bud.

Well at least the text fit.
Someone should reskin common infected into husks
Tanks into brutes, witches to banshees, etc.
FUCK; automerge broken
makes more sense than the ending
At least dimensional travel has some basis in reality.
It doesn't make rocks half robot.
Hey, what exactly does a robotic rock do? Does it like, fabricate more rocks? Or does it have a processor or something?
one of my favorite movies of all time is Akira
don't you even start pulling the fucking gaijin bias card on me motherfucker
a fucking cartoon shat out by I.G. based on Slab Brickmeat and your first inclination as to why people are horrified is that it's Japanese. Maybe you need to rethink your own biases.
Prod. IG isn't all bad though.
Neither is the James Vega character.

You buy one if you want something that looks just like a rock;but isn't a rock

Nah, I think he's just boring yet somehow also heavily experimental. He never really got annoying, in fact some of the things he said were fairly funny. It's just that there's far more entertaining characters and, really, I don't really expect any of them to win out against epic-tier bros like Garrus and Wrex.

They are whenever they're given for hire work. They always half ass it because they have no personal investment in the project and they know that no one will give a fuck.

Experimental.
Bulk Fizzlebeef. Experimental.
If he's experimental then that makes Garrus singularity level theoretical nanotechnology.
I mean the way you guys talk about him you'd think Hamburger Helper managed to break into Bioware headquarters and add him in before security tranquilized her
If she is breaking into places wouldn't that make her "Hamburglar Helper"?

I mean experimental compared to what ME normally does. Normally it's some dude who has a defining character trait, parental issues and a different gun than the last guy had. With Vega it's more like they grabbed some random guy and he just went with it without any strings attached.
So, boring, yeah, but at least he isn't asking you to fix all his shit like the other 90% of the crew.
My question is: Out of all the mass effect characters they have at their disposal, why did they pick James? The Mass Effect Movie stars him as well.
Out of everyone game wise anyways, he is the newest and least developed.
I would have like to see a movie or anime about Anderson or Hackett, like more detail about Anderson's rejection from Specter status, ect ect.
I really just don't get what makes James so great that he deserves a movie, an anime AND being in a book. Like, what the hell?
I'm actually looking forward to the anime, but I don't feel James is an apt representation of the Mass Effect universe (almost said Star Trek, because of my roomate is streaming TNG, lol)

I prefer that actually. Why have them at all if they are outside of main missions is a line or two or dialog?
this feels like stuff they should have done BEFORE ME3, like the original novels that came out before ME1

first contact war would've been pretty cool, and maybe a little of the aftermath etc.. Like asari seeing humans for the first time, everybody looking at you like, "woah dude that things gots 5 fingas"
the sparring conversation you have with James is one of my favorite dialog sections in the entire game. He's a nice guy, and not nearly as bad as he could have been.
However, Bioware really played it safe with him. How awesome would it have been if the 'exposition-eating' character in the cast was a Raloi? they only just discovered the citadel, it would have been perfect.
If they don't die they can show up later on the Lost Island. Also there was a cut scene where Joker picked them up in the Normandy.
How did joker have time to pick them up? And also, why did he pick them up? As far as they knew shepard was on board the citadel doing stuff. Why did they fly away? Considering they crucible was doing stuff and the mass relays were shooting out beams, wouldn't you assume it's working and not like, fly away? And he couldn't have already been in the air when it started happening, he wouldn't have just gone 'well nothings happened yet and no word from shep even though it's been like 5 mins better fly away for some reason instead of letting his squadmates hold the line
??????????????????
if joker flew away every time shep was incommunicado he would have been left for dead many times

As awesome as that would have been:
"In 2186 during the Reaper invasion, the raloi delegation withdraws from the Citadel. Unwilling and unable to fight the Reapers, the raloi decide to isolate themselves on Turvess and destroy any satellites and observation equipment in orbit around their planet. They hope that the Reapers will see them as a pre-spaceflight civilization and spare their planet."

Nice missed oppurtunity/effort dodging, Bioware
