Why does everyone on MP use the M-37 thingamijig [editline]26th March 2012[/editline]
In other news, Elcor with Macaws
thought that was bird porn for a sec there, too used to DMT

All im doing: playing on silver just to get cash and find something new in these packs.. I got tons of upgrades, weapons that i dont like or i dont use...
Why does everyone on MP use the M-37 thingamijig
lolwut its bad now idk why'd they use it
Does anyone have a list of "good" weapons in MP? So far the only weapon I've liked is the Claymore.
Geth Plasma Shotgun is amazing.
Jesus christ what is up with these level 20's playing bronze Geth and kicking any level 1 (me) who wants to get a fucking chance at leveling
(and get raped by Aria)
I wouldn't mind.
goddamn shepard is bad at dancing in me2
Shepard sucks at dancing. Period.
Sorry if this is late but I died hahah
Jesus christ what is up with these level 20's playing bronze Geth and kicking any level 1 (me) who wants to get a fucking chance at leveling
Same thing happened to me when I first joined. Just keep trying and you will get into matches.
By the way, in the ending cinematic, I wanna know what the fuck this guy was thinking: Yeah, shoot at the landing reaper with your RIFLE, that's gonna fuck him up.
You never know. One ridiculously lucky shot might just happen to clip the Reaper in the right place and do some serious damage. Not damn likely, but possible.
By the way, in the ending cinematic, I wanna know what the fuck this guy was thinking: Yeah, shoot at the landing reaper with your RIFLE, that's gonna fuck him up.
It was reflex, he recognized something obviously hostile approaching and put a burst into it, it's why he stops firing after getting a good look at what it was. [editline]26th March 2012[/editline]
Sorry if this is late but I died hahah
I've noticed the Destroyers don't have the eloquence of the Sovereign-class Reapers, there's some clear hierarchy going on with them.
Not sure if you guys saw this, but Gab from PA gave his take on the Endings, and the article that lists reasons that people didn't like it: http://penny-arcade.com/2012/03/14/mass-effect-3-ending-spoiler-warning [editline]26th March 2012[/editline] The "Confusing" point is exactly how I interpreted the Reapers' motivations, I just couldn't word it properly when trying to explain.
Gabe is kind of dumb tbh.
Key Philosophical Themes Are Discarded I have to be honest, I don’t really understand this one. It sounds like the inevitable destruction of organic life by Synthetics somehow negates all the “key themes” of the series. I’m not sure why that is.
"I don't understand what you said but you're wrong." Great rebuttal!
Again if ME3 is the “ending” then I was making choices the entire time right up until the last second. I chose the “green” ending and I picked that out of three options. Were the other options similar to mine? I don’t know, I didn’t pick them. I made my final choice and put the cap on MY Mass Effect story.
He doesn't even know what the other endings are. He's kind of relishing in the fact that he's completely uninformed with regards to both storytelling and Mass Effect and has no idea why people are upset but he's announcing that they're wrong anyway.
FP gold match went well, Jackald was unfortunately stuck/bugged 50% of the mission and didn't make it. RIP.
(and get raped by Aria)
Aria's hot. Also a very interesting character. I wouldn't mind seeing more of her. Also finding out what happened to Omega.

Brevity
Consider mass effect 3 the Ending? That's not how shit works. Mass effect starts with its own introduction, continues into its own rising actions and conflicts, ending in a climax. The reason the ending felt so off and "short" was because there was no actual "ENDING" You basically reached 1/3 the way down the Falling Action bar and stopped there, completely neglecting any conclusion. Also no, the choice Shep makes in the end and the results are not the conclusion, as it opens up more questions than it closes.
It’s Confusing
True, the result does make sense in a twisted kind of way. Don't really have much of an issue with the Reapers' end goals and motivations all that much. Well besides them being circular, but eh.
Lore Errors and Plot Holes
No, shut up. What makes Mass Effect fun is not only the shooty gunfights and epic action sequences, it's the characters who are built upon the lore. If you simply say that lore errors and plot holes don't bother you so long as you can enjoy the final product, then you really don't have any say in the quality of the product. Apart from a very simplistic "I enjoyed it so it was good" sense.
Key Philosophical Themes Are Discarded
If you don't understand it then don't write a freaking article about it, you'll just make yourself seem like an idiot. This section of the article just disregards everything pointed out in the Gamefront article. For God's sake, you can't take a 1500 word long text and rebut it by saying "Well I don't really understand this much but HEY I THINK THE ENDING WAS FINE RIGHT?!" The point of that section was to show how the ending destroys everything that the series had built up, be that shit like strength through unity, the validity of synthetic life etc. It doesn't say anything about the cycles you u9ewsd8ad.
Player Choice Is Completely Discarded
Yes, it was. The mere fact that people can go online and talk about how their endings were exactly the fucking same, and how any major decisions they made didn't affect the outcome more than changing a few numbers shows that there is the illusion of choice. I wouldn't have a problem with this in any other franchise, but don't forget that the games were always marketed with "every decision makes a huge difference" and shit. Mass effect 1 did this well, Mass effect 2 did this really well, Mass effect 3 did it fucking amazingly, right up until the end where the only things that mattered were the number you got and the colour you chose. Overall a horrible article and I don't recommend anyone read it. I am now convinced that Gabe has never passed any middle school literature class. [editline]26th March 2012[/editline] Truth be told I've never seen someone butcher a 5000+ word article like that. Gabe must have some magic powers behind him.
Same thing happened to me when I first joined. Just keep trying and you will get into matches.
I'm not new, just leveling classes I haven't touched before. It's pretty irritating.
Apart from a very simplistic "I enjoyed it so it was good" sense.
Isn't that exactly what games are for? Enjoyment? :v: [editline]26th March 2012[/editline]
Overall a horrible article and I don't recommend anyone read it. Hey EcksDee, that chart is pretty close to how good plots work, though i'm sure they usually have more peaks and dips, as opposed to just the one smooth ascent to the climax then the descent afterwards...

I'll change them if I am no longer able to rebut them myself. Yes, games are for enjoyment. So are books, doesn't mean you can't discuss them in detail. You can enjoy a game just because it's a fun game with good gameplay. Or you can be more emotionally invested in a game so that if it ends horribly then you get angry. Either way, you can still discuss it. I just took the first I could find off Google.
krogan sentinel awwww yeahhhhhhhh

(Like how they actually refer to the endings by [sp]the colour of the explosion.[/sp])

Oh fucking hell [sp]I saved Kelly Chambers in ME2 and she just dies on the Citadel in ME3? Way to make it worth while Bioware. That is, assuming everyone on the citadel died at the end of ME3. Bailey and Aria and all of those guys. We just don't know[/sp] :(
