I just watched that Indoctrination theory video and either i'm indoctrinated or it actually makes very good sense... I'd rather those moments be a dream-like sidetrack than an actual blue-ball of an ending; I still want to fight Harbinger by assuming direct control of a Reaper.
They also flat out denied the indoctrination theory. Either they go back on that or do a HUGE retcon.
[editline]27th March 2012[/editline]
Or nothing at all, of course.
Who cares. At least they're trying.
Or this was their genius plan all along. Which is a possibility because.. seriously..
When did they officially deny indoctrination theory? I never saw that.
Just finished Mass Effect 3. Game was fucking awesome, but then the ending...

[sp]Jack Shephard actually looks like John Shepard.[/sp]
]
That actually made me smile.
I don't understand how any ending DLC can be worth it if they run with old outcomes.
In one, Shephard is dead,
In the other, Shephard is dead and everyone has silly green eyes.
And in the last, you committed genocide against the geth.

Denying things is the plan, to keep the secrets planned. Not knowing, if the theory is right or not.

Well I never saved the Geth, NOTHING WAS LOST
Another thing I hate is how almost everyone on the Citadel was killed via Twitter. guess I told Ereba about Charr's death just so she could be even more miserable when the reapers turn her into jelly.
this is by far my favorite song from the OST

a shame I can't remember exactly what part of the game it was from
The name implies it would be played during the final chat with [sp]Anderson as he's dying[/sp] since the name of the song is a quote from him during that.

Citadel with Anderson at the end.

It's sort of depressing that it just pops out of nowhere and the whole massacre thing isn't really bought up much afterwards. You'd kind of think you could have been able to do something beforehand that lets more people survive, heck, maybe evacuate a majority of the citadel's population.
It only really adds up to the lack of closure since you never know what happens to Captain Bailey, Kelly, Khalisah and everybody else on the Citadel.

Well, they could have had the assets you got from the Citadel Defense Force determine if certain characters lived or died. But it didn't matter.
[sp]It's like the kid doesn't want anyone to go in space, and decides to trap people by turning them into reapers and shit, waste of time visiting outer space[/sp]
Eh, I didn't really like Kotor 1, but I'm aware that I'm among the minority
What a shame.
[sp] Personally I don't like Kotor when it comes to immersion simply because of how god awful the morality of the game is. [/sp]
[sp] Actually why I like 2 more, it goes out of its way to deconstruct how bad it is. [/sp]
Can't make it out of this animation

I just don't get what was so hard to do about the ending.
A good ending to me would be.
-They have to fight to the elevator, depending on how well you did in game, one of your squad dies, someone dies etc.
-You make it onto the citadel and fight your way through to various things blah blah.
-Giant Reaper Boss
-Maybe fight indoctrination, find out it's all a trick or whatever.
-Meet elusive man, make choice about galaxy, your squads survival/etc depends on your progress.
Easy peasy.
Completed my first gold challenge on multiplayer and holy fuck was it awesome.

Wait wait wait wait.
This just occurred to me. somehow.
If you're standing ON the crucible...
Why is earth above you? Crucible attached onto the bottom of the citadel, which is facing away from earth, and that is obviously the point that the crucible meets the citadel.
i was soo bumped when i reached citadel i tough ok now its time to fight my way to the end what i find? just a couple choices that are no fight involved

The same reason mass effect weapons fire star wars fwips and GUARDIAN laser turrets fire rockets. The effects team don't know the lore as well as the fans/just want shit to look cool.
Which doesn't explain the turrets though, lasers are way cooler than rockets.

Harbinger shows up, you destroy him by activating the Citadel Relay as one of it's rings collides with him?
That, or Hackett shows up to save the day/rams Harbinger.

I think you're standing on the Citadel, at the contact point. What bothers me more is that Shepard can somehow breathe in space.

Because mass effect fields. I'm being serious with that, I'm pretty sure they can keep the pressure and oxygen inside an environment.

but the energy is moving upwards. If the Citadel is the "barrel" of the space magic cannon, why would the energy be flowing away from it?
Plus, that thing has alliance markings on it, can't be the citadel.

Actually, the codex in ME1 states that they can't. And then they broke that in ME2 with the Joker mass effect/kinetic barrier field in the cockpit in ME2.

That's called reusing assets and hoping people don't notice it.

A: Joker had a mask on in that scene.
B: I've never seen that thing appear anywhere else, and the architecture of that area was pretty unique.

You're on The Citadel, and then you get taken upwards in an elevator. You're probably still on the elevator. It was probably just an oversight from Bioware.

A: He had bare arms. Exposed to a vacuum he would be really hurt. Hence why Shepard and everyone else were wearing full suits. It wouldn't kill you instantly but it would hurt like hell, and cause frost and stuff to form on your arms, and nerve damage if you are exposed long enough.
B: It really wasn't. It was three tower looking things and some pathways to them. It could have been made up of parts taken from a lot of other areas.

Maybe you're just upside down on the crucible/citadel.
There's not really any up or down in space, so yeah, let's assume the crucible is "above" earth, maybe you're just on the floor "under" the crucible.
