Great now we can't unsee that.
Damn. I just spent the last week playing through Mass Effect 1 and 2, so I would have a femshep for Mass Effect 3. ...And I just lost motivation to finish after reaching ME3. Not because of the ending. Because of how the game was designed. It's so fucking linear. You have to do just about all the missions in the same general order. There's barely any side missions besides multiplayer maps and fetch quests. And I can't even choose most of the dialogue along the way, and the dialogue I can choose barely affects anything. Not to mention that I couldn't recreate my femshep's face, and now she looks awful.
I've seen it since 07 so deal with it.

I didn't really mind, but the fact that Shepard talks a bunch without you making any choices bugged the living shit out of me.

Very disappointing. Mass Effect 3 is a great game on its own merits, but when compared to the other Mass Effects it doesn't quite hold up.

Mass Effect 1 was an RPG with a huge emphasis on choice with some super clunky shooter segments. Fast forward and then we have Mass Effect 3, an RPG with very little emphasis on choice and a huge emphasis on fluid action.

What's the point of that front bit on Salarian armor anyway? It's like they're supposed to clip onto something.
Handles for easy carrying of dead bodies.
What's the point of that front bit on Salarian armor anyway?
come to think of it, a handle like that would be incredibly handy for dragging casualties. [sp]of course in reality it was just a cool-looking addition that a concept artist threw in for the sake of filling the space[/sp]
What's the point of that front bit on Salarian armor anyway? It's like they're supposed to clip onto something.
Something about them having concave chests and trying to look more like the other races I think.
One of the Salarian outfits has a pair of hooks on the shoulders. Like it has to be lowered on to them somehow.
Not sure if it's the same outfit but some outfit has something that looks like you could clip a box onto the back of his shoulders, like for carrying equipment.
One of the Salarian outfits has a pair of hooks on the shoulders. Like it has to be lowered on to them somehow.
Seems more likely to me that those would be parachute/seat harness clips or something.
No idea what it could be. I also found this in the ME1 salarian headgear folder Anyone remember seeing it anywhere, or is it just another thing they didn't use? I found so much unused stuff in the ME1 files. There's even rough models of ships from some of the concept arts somewhere.
Something about them having concave chests and trying to look more like the other races I think.
Pfft. Like you figured that out. They said it in the documentary.
You guys are just entitled whiners. Jar Jar Binks was a satisfying, well thought out character, and you're just too dumb to get him.
I get you, you seen it already, tell me twice, you're a fool, tell me three times, Ruiner of "telling me you already seen it, so why post it? gag" Poor Miranda.
Mass Effect 3 plays like a Third Person Shooter with RPG elements
To be honest, that's how I've always seen the series, even with Mass Effect 1. The difference is, Mass Effect 1's combat is really quite mediocre by modern TPS standards. Yeah, there were plenty of skill points you could shove in there but I honestly didn't find it all that deep. Mass Effect 2 improved the combat and scaled back the skill trees, but it was still a TPS/RPG hybrid. Mass Effect 3 is the same way, but with improved RPG elements. The series was marketed as a hybrid between TPS and RPG from the start, so this isn't particularly surprising.
He is an excellent metaphor for race experiencing new and advanced cultures.
I don't know what this sentence means but I am pretty sure it is wrong
He is an excellent metaphor for race experiencing new and advanced cultures.
no
Was just trying to humour him.

I mean, the skill trees in 3 were better than in 2, but now dialogue more often than not is just a cutscene where you can't pick anything. Also, as I said last page, there's a lot less emphasis on choice in Mass Effect 3. In Mass Effect 2, you had to do a series of sidequests and buy a bunch of ship upgrades to ensure you squad would survive. In Mass Effect 3, as long as you happen to have gained 4000 war assets and 100% readiness (which is incredibly easy to get, and you'll probably end up there without even trying), you can pick whatever ending you want and get the best version of it. I'm not saying it's bad that it has good combat, but it seems more like an action game with RPG elements than any kind of RPG/Shooter hybrid.
Question. Why did multiple Hammerheads show up in that one trailer, even though in game Steve said the only prototype was in a lab on Earth, and most likely destroyed?
Question. You may as well be asking why Shepard is fighting the the middle of nowhere and why there are so many marines and husks there.
