With the number of people on BSN odds were in favour of it to be honest.
True. Here is the post I mentioned. http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/105/index/970146/1#970421
Started ME2 playthrough on Insanity, and the most annoying part is not trying to stay alive, but running out of ammo every 3 seconds even when constantly headshotting stuff. I mean, even the basic enemies take 2-3 sniper shots to the head and they MIGHT drop heat sinks that give me back whopping 2 shots? Is this only a problem at lower levels or is ridiculous ammo management the real challenge of Insanity for the whole game?
Hmm, Didn't have that issue that much. But it should get easier with it later when you can get both armor and weapon upgrades that makes you pack more ammo
Well the whole point of the end is that the Catalyst is wrong. It even says that its solution doesn't work anymore. Hell, if anything, it took the reapers to bring them together :v:
It didn't admit to being wrong. It just said that its solution to the supposed synthetics problem no longer works, and that it needs a new solution. Which makes no sense since you just proved that it was wrong to begin with.

Which makes no sense since you just proved that it was wrong to begin with.
Well as someone said it's not necessarily a permanent alliance. Now it's looking for a way to prolong the alliance - [sp]Either by destroying all synthetics permanently or completely controlling them or by removing any barrier between organics and synthetics[/sp]
What's all this about then?:
This worries me a bit. Does this mean that by "speculation for everyone" they meant "let everyone speculate until we can give closure to the ending via paid DLC"? I fucking hope not. I was really hoping they'd retcon the ending rather than expand on it. The current ending just sucks so much I don't want any closure to it.
This image made me think, a post-shep-death scene with your love interest being absolutely distraught over your death, maybe taking out a few reapers in death-related-revenge-rage would be fucking awesome.
No, that would be retarded. Suddenly they gain the ability to kill sentient machines even an entire combined fleet of all the citadel races had trouble killing a handful of? NOPE. Also, is anyone else having problems connecting to MP? What the fuck is going on BIOWARE.... what the fuck is going onnnnnnnnnn?
Unfortunately, I am 90% sure that the ending DLC or whatever the hell they are making will not be free :| Also, I hope they don't fuck it up even more.
We will all find out on April 6th. Just gonna have to hope.
Unfortunately, I am 90% sure that the ending DLC or whatever the hell they are making will not be free :| Also, I hope they don't fuck it up even more.
What are you basing your '90%' certainty on? Random speculation, or is there actual information floating about?
They should change the main menu music the original Normandy soundtrack. It just works..so well.
We will all find out on April 6th. Just gonna have to hope.
I hope they announce it at PAX East too. I will be there! [editline]29th March 2012[/editline]
They should change the main menu music the original Normandy soundtrack. It just works..so well.
Also, your stupid title takes up so much fucking page space. For a single sentence. Also, how do I enable all chat/receive voice communication? I've heard people annoyed by how much they can hear and swearing they could even "Hear their neck-beard moving around".... But I have almost heard a single word. Not a peep. The last game I played, two people were talking, but I don't think they could hear me. I would really like to be able to communicate so I can tell new players when to leave their teammate to die in order to complete an objective or not. So annoying seeing them abandon the last objective of a 'shut down x beacons' to run across the map and try to save some idiot who got themselves trapped.
What are you basing your '90%' certainty on? Random speculation, or is there actual information floating about?
I'm basing it off of EA. EA will monetize anything. I would not be surprised at all if the ending was intentionally done like this so that later they can release a 10$ DLC to make it "proper"

It's just going to have more closure. Also, what happens on April 6?
[sp]However, I don't think that's the end - For a start, as people have, again, pointed out, the Quarians and Turians should be okay; if some of the Quarian liveships survived, which are capable of producing food, they at least won't starve. It'll probably be incredibly rough, rationing will be strict, and depending on the number of liveships left, they will probably lose the weakest. These are soldiers, though, they should be able to tough it out.[/sp]
Nope. In the ME1 codex it's stated that growing food in the Migrant Fleet is a significant problem, and if even one of their liveships were lost it could result in deaths due to starvation considering how they're barely growing the amount of food they need. Considering how weak the ships are and how they were used (glass cannons, essentially) even if one or two survived (pretty big "if") it won't be able to feed the majority of the soldiers.
[sp]As for the rest of the races, Earth or at least sol should be able to provide them a home until they can escape. They're all basically castaways - The desert island they're stuck on WILL provide for them, but they're going to have to put a lot of work into it. The homeworlds for the races involved have mostly been devastated by the reapers already, but there should be survivors, probably more than on Earth at least. Thessia will likely be the worst off, but the Reapers won't have had the same amount of time as they did with Earth to harvest the population. Now that they're gone, the homeworlds should be able to rebuild. What they lack in numbers (Due to most of the military being on Earth), they should be able to make up with a greater proportion of skilled workers, as most of the remaining population would have been civilians, including engineers, scientists, etc.[/sp]
You're forgetting the large amounts of dust released into the atmosphere. This will probably result in a short nuclear winter, I'd say up to a year. Would seriously hamper food growing effort on homeworlds. Luckily the other homeworlds have colonies really close by, only Earth is kinda screwed since Mars hasn't been terraformed.
[sp]Finally, re-obtaining the technology for inter-stellar travel. FTL speeds, while plausibly being able to carry ships between clusters in close proximity, will not be sufficient in the long-term. A new alternative to the mass relays will be required for Galactic Civilization to be anything like it was before. I can see some solutions, although they would almost certainly take a VERY long time to come true. Firstly, Reaper tech. In all the endings, even, apparently, the "Destroy" ending, the reapers are still fully intact (Presumably it just kills off their processing to leave behind their "Shell"). This leaves the possibility of building or recovering their FTL technology, which was implied to be much, much faster than anything the other galactic civilizations had ever built. Reaper ships could also plausibly be used as transports (With some redesigning probably necessary), or even as tow ships. Secondly, rebuilding their own mass relays. An Asari once mentions people laughing in her face at the mention of this, but is it really that implausible? The resources of the majority of the galactic civilizations combined was capable of building the Crucible; building a mass relay is completely different, but, in TIM's words, it's "A significant hurdle". Didn't the Protheans build the Conduit? Building a mass relay could be something for them all to aspire to. It doesn't have to be easy.[/sp]
[sp]Whoever controls Ilos will probably be the first one to build a new mass relay. Humans would have had a good chance too, but it appears the Mars archives were wiped clean by Cerberus.[/sp] [editline]29th March 2012[/editline] Oh and the hints all point to that Bioware will release some new video clips and voiceovers, patch them into the game to cover some of the more obvious holes but leave the ending choices themselves intact.
This one? [t]http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2012/086/6/a/ma_happy_end_by_splintercellsf-d4u3756.jpg[/t]
That image genuinely cheers me up every time I see it, and I always find those baby with fictional character pictures silly.
Has this been posted yet?
There are so many of these already, people are just using each other as references and nothing new ever gets said. The first few were enough to be honest.
Look what came today:
Awesome. How big is it, 24" x 18"?
Awesome. How big is it, 24" x 18"?
Yup, so it's quite big.
Also, your stupid title takes up so much fucking page space. For a single sentence.
Tell the guy who gave it to me under this silly system to get rid of it. I'm not paying £10 to remove some text.
The landscape reminds me of home. It feels like home. I should buy it.
So, I have a question to ask the fans [sp]If you woke up one day and found out you'd been synthesised, would you be mildly pissed off?[/sp]
Yup, so it's quite big.
Good, I recently bought The Team. Really pleased with it.
It occured to me I have no pieces of Mass Effect merchandise. This is clearly a travesty and must be fixed.
So, I have a question to ask the fans [sp]If you woke up one day and found out you'd been synthesised, would you be mildly pissed off?[/sp]
[sp]Really depends on what comes with it. Am I part of a hivemind? Fuck that. Am I immortal? Fuck yes.[/sp]
[sp]Really depends on what comes with it. Am I part of a hivemind? Fuck that. Am I immortal? Fuck yes.[/sp]
That question is all that prevents me from accepting Synthesis as perfect. No one man should have all that power.
I've always wanted to be part-tech (Thus Deus Ex was awesome for me)
I've always wanted to be part-tech (Thus Deus Ex was awesome for me)
What I find interesting about myself is in Deus Ex, I was pro-augmentation. I thought Augmentations in Deus Ex were nothing but help to humanity. Whereas I can't condone Synthesis in Mass Effect 3 for some reason. When you take away the choice, I guess, it's wrong. You're eliminating free will.
I've always wanted to be part-tech (Thus Deus Ex was awesome for me)
It's like what Yahtzee said agout DX:HR. When your choices are a group with steam boat pistons for arms and a group who want you to be as shit as they are there's no contest.
