So not prepared.

Go slower, you don't want to finish.
Hi Everyone
Today, we received the 400 cupcakes you collectively sent us through your donations to express your feelings about the endings of Mass Effect 3. We want you to know; we are indeed listening to all fan response and acknowledge your feedback. We appreciate creative and thoughtful attempts like this one.
The gesture certainly gained our attention both with its creativity and deliciousness. However, while we do appreciate that fans were creative in how they expressed their views, after a lot of discussion, we decided ultimately the reason that they were sent was not done in the context of celebrating the work or accomplishment of the Mass Effect 3 team. This is a subtle, but important aspect in determining how to pass the feedback to the team.
BioWare regularly works with many deserving charities, as such it was decided that rather than passing out the cupcakes to staff or wasting good food, to donate them on behalf of our fans to a local Edmonton youth shelter. We know that for the kids that have to use this facility, something as simple as a cupcake is a rare treat and would definitely brighten up their day. Thank you to the fine folks at the local youth shelter for accepting the donation and to the fans who donated the cupcakes.
Please keep providing your feedback on Mass Effect 3, we’re still listening.
dammit bioware, stop doing nice things,it's making it harder to irrationally hate you

After a lot of discussion.

It's okay, you're still allowed to rationally hate them.

More than they had about the ending.
Actually, you know what would have made the ending better? Cupcakes.

ftfy
if i ever received 400 cupcakes i'd probably die of overeating
To be fair, if I'd just written the ending to ME3, I wouldn't eat any food sent to me by strangers either.

So instead you'd give it to children. Nice. :v:

And now, for something completely different:
After a lot of discussion.
I was under the impression that the person who sent the cupcakes had made a statement that they were made over the ending.
guys attention I have brought some fuel for the
!!!INDOCTRINATION THEORY!!!
ok so what if the 3 choices at the end of the game do nothing but represent the 3 major stages of shep's life
the plot of me1 was complex, but what shepard had as a goal most of the time was to stop saren. let me quote him from the top of my head, one of my favorite quotes from any medium
"A symbiosis of flesh and steel. Organic and machine, intertwined, the strenghts of both - the weaknesses of neither."
ok so what if shepard interprets this for himself in his mind as the synthesis ending?
I don't really need to go into detail with control. Me2's goal was to stop the collectors, sure, but in the mind of shepard the constant thing was the burden of working for cerberus.
What about me3? let me outline the main goal of me3 for you real fast
shepard you must stop repers%%!4!!
so that's synthesis, control, and destroy in order- and even funnier when you think of it how this exactly goes me1, me2 and me3
I might be just delusional

To be honest, Destroy seems to be more in line with Mass Effect 2, since TIM's shoving Control down your throat throughout ME3 (planting seeds of doubt in effect) while ME2 was all about destroying the Collectors.
you might be right

From the thread:
Hey Bioware, you know what I find funny?
You're being offered three colours to choose from, and using your own critical thinking you've made your own decision and said "We choose option #4".
Giving Shepard that same choice would go a long way to showing you understand where this went wrong.
He has a point.
Bioware need to create their own comic in-house rather than getting Dark Horse to do it for them. Matt Rhodes should do a ME comic since it would fit the comic style.
if you don't know who matt rhodes is, this is him

Valve did it (though they hired a comic book artist and community artists), so why not Bioware.
Dynamic entry for the romance scene?

I would have liked seeing Kai Leng invade the Normandy single-handed (minus his sword). [sp]Maybe if, depending on certain circumstances during Thessia (choice: go after Kai Leng and retrieve Vendetta at the expense of Liara or your other buddy; or allow Kai Leng to escape to help your buddies), you acquire Vendetta and Kai Leng comes to retrieve it personally from the Normandy[/sp] Or something to that effect.

Miranda statue in the Presidium. What.
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. why didnt i make the right choices in me2
i so wish i could've [sp]formed the peace treaty between the geth and quarians.[/sp]
god damnit im sad now. it was either [sp]live with tali and the quarians[/sp] or [sp]have tali die but have the geth on your side[/sp]
anyone else notice how one of tali's suit's arms in ME1 is covered in metal? Looks cool
EDIT: anyone else love how in ME1 there is no real pressure to finish anything in a timely manner? hell i'm having the time of my life emptying a few "magazines" into the Presidium for old time's sake.
So I got bored and was thinking to myself, "What if Shepard failed? What if the reapers won? What would be the race that takes over in the next 50,000 years?" The answer? Varren.
(pardon the fact that I am not an artist by any stretch of the imagination)

I never got around to finishing it, but I figured you guys may like to see it.
Its pretty obvious it was inspired by a Krogan. I was gonna do a Salarian-esque Pyjak, and a Turian-esque Space Cow, but I realized I can't draw for crap, and barely got through one.
That reminds me, there is a significant lack of Urz and Kal'Reegar in Mass Effect 3.
I was surprised Urz- and perhaps even his handler- were neither seen nor mentioned anywhere. Could have done something cool with it.
As for Kal, [sp]All you get is that stinking e-mail saying he died helping the turians[/sp]. Reegar should have been present to some capacity in the Battle for Rannoch.
