the mako is more fun than i remembered.
fucking vertically aligned mass effect fields
Driving up vertical cliffs, doing barrel rolls, and taking rockets like a champ.
Unlike that pansy Hammerhead.
If you didn't put the memorial next to it, you are not a true Commander Shepard.

Some of these are incredibly nitpicky. Also I think that DA comment is fake.
Starts tomorrow night at 5PM PST I believe.
I just promoted 3 characters last night...
My face is rather contorted atm fyi
fml
I have a feeling it'll be a comic that shows what happens to everyone else or something equally unsatisfying.
Also I promoted one of my characters yesterday, damn...

I always found it wierd how people complain about the sprites on Earth, you see them for like 2 seconds they don't need to be detailed. Though the sprites on the Citadel should have been low poly models to avoid the viewing angle wierdness.

Part of me wants to blame that on consoles but the other part of me remembers just how many NPC's Unreal Engine 3 can render on the Xbox 360 (see: Gears of War 2 and 3). I think Bioware might have just been lazy there.

I like how they used that "The Best Gamers" video even though it's so clearly fake

I wonder if the sheer amount of voice work took up a lot of space.
Didn't somebody on here say that they saw Casey Hudson at some event prior to the ME3 release and that he looked 'really tired'? I can just imagine all of the bullshit he had to put up with EA throughout the development of the game.
I wonder if the sheer amount of voice work took up a lot of space.
I doubt that's the issue. Bioware could have just used a stock running animation and applied to to randomly generated NPC's. That said, it's an exceedingly minor quibble. I would have much preferred some higher resolution textures.

And all of me wants to go, "I don't fucking care - just seeing the Reapers touch down and stomp around all over the city had me too immersed to give a shit."
Just gonna repost this for the next few days, I'm going to do a livestream sometime from the 9th -22nd April and I'd like to ask you guys to take a survey just asking what kind of music you would like to hear or think complements Mass Effect (great examples so far are "In the year 2525" and "An End Once and For all" {which two of you mentioned}).
I've also asked for your opinion of having a voiceover commentary and what kind of frequency I should go for in providing it (so far everyone wants it, one apparently wants me to sing some blues {note to self: Cover well acclaimed blues songs with ME influences added in}).
Lastly just add whatever else you can think of that I should influence the stream with.
What I can say for now is that will be a completely fresh character going through every possible sidemission in all three games and I'll be giving 3/4 of all conversation choices to you guys (literally, like after every 3rd choice I get to choose).
Here is a link to the survey and if you have already taken it but want to add more things in just PM me with what you want and what you'd like to suggest.
the "bioware once again delivers an original game experience" really bugs me. Creating something completely original is impossible you jerks.

Considering how the game begins to chug for me (well not chug, but 60 to 35-45FPS) when lots of people on the citadel. I'd assume Bioware doing something weird.
Never had a problem on the citadel.

You got to take in to account the game size difference. The Gears of War games don't have 30+ hour campaigns, and thousands of pieces of dialogue. Epic Games had a lot of room before they hit the ceiling of the consoles max capacity, because their games are fairly linear and only last roughly 6-8 hours. But because the Mass Effect games are so big, they had to cut corners on some minor visuals to make room for more important content. If ME was primarily developed for PC, the ceiling for the max game size would be extremely high, if not infinite due to all this latest hardware coming out. We would have probably seen fully modeled, high resolution textured people in the streets on Earth and in the inaccessible areas of the Citadel.

Disable Origin's ingame overlay and you'll see a substantial performance increase. Even on my ancient Athlon X2 5000+, I can still manage a silky smooth game.

I saw Mass Effect 2 down the bottom corner, liar.

In b4 Narbacular Drop.
Got a question for you guys
[sp] In order to get a peace-treaty between the Quarians and the Geth you have to blow up the heretics in ME2[/sp]
Why is this?

Is that what he's like? I might have to get him so I too can have a troll on my ship.

I for one prefer estuaries

He's a complete hardass. He makes Zaeed look like a Carebear. That said, his character arc is occasionally heartwarming, so he definitely has some pseudo-Paragon moments.
To be honest, I can't imagine the game without him.
just telling you guys, jackald's stream is gonna be badass
we have some amazing ideas
