I feel like one of the only people who enjoyed the ending because I was under the impression Shep was being indoctrinated once he started having those dreams. Didn't know it was a "theory" or anything (didn't read about the game at all prior to playing, didn't want to spoil it) until afterward.
I felt like the child at the end was trying to persuade me not to pick the destroy ending, especially once the "Even you are partially synthetic," line was tossed. Unlike most people, I actually interpreted it a different way. I didn't interpret it as the kid saying "It will destroy you too because you are synthetic," I thought he was saying, "You are partially synthetic, so how can you oppose synthetics?" Kind of like going up to someone who has a robotic leg at an anti-robotics rally and saying, "You want robotics to be outlawed, even though you're partially robotic?" Considering virtually everyone in the galaxy is partially synthetic (omni-tool implants, etc) it's pretty obvious he doesn't mean picking that option will destroy everything synthetic in the galaxy. Just purely synthetic beings that have achieved sentience (Reapers).
Even the geth would probably be spared by the destroy ending. They are a collective, they are software, not hardware. They reside on servers. Reapers, on the other hand, are bound to their synthetic bodies. How would the destroy ending erase geth from servers/target servers without destroying all computers? Inactive geth platforms are just machinery, it's just unfeasible to think the force emitted from the Crucible is so intelligent to the point of picking bits and pieces of things to destroy.
I dunno. That's just my take on it. I wonder if that's why the Catalyst appears as a child. People are more likely to believe what a child says. If the Catalyst was in the form of a Reaper and told you, "You could choose to destroy us mumble mumble mumble or you could pick one of these super awesome choices that are totally better," you'd be much more willing to dive at the destroy option.

That's great, as far as have an interpretation to fill in the plot holes, but going off of canon, those are still plot holes. The only thing to explain it away at the moment is basically fan fiction.

Fairly sure it was all Mac Walters for Mass Effect 2. That's why the main story was so "eh" but the character story and development was stellar.
i love how nearly 90% of all the falcon's shots don't register at all if you do not host your own game
also im not sure if i really like the whole ' reapers are trying to find a way to protect organics from dark energy" me3 was supposed to have. conflict with synthetics was a major theme throughout the entire series and to have that just come out of nowhere with just some minor foreshadowing of its possible negative effects in one mission of ME2 seems kind of strange.

More than one. Dark Energy is a buzzword throughout quite a bit of ME2, and is explicitly how biotics and other Eezo applications work.
what is 'promoting' a character in multiplayer mean?
what is 'promoting' a character in multiplayer mean?
Reset to level 1, +10 to n7 rank and adds him to your singleplayer war assets, it's something minimal like 75 but you can pile them up, promoted 10 guys so I'm already at 750 war assets from that alone.
So apparently they brought Toonami back for some April Fools thing, and

The way I see it is that when you promote someone, you're actually promoting every character in that class. So you're promoting a squad, not just a single guy.

Essentially, since all your characters for a class levels up at the exact same rate, should have been more precise, I just usually play only 1 character per class.
Man Guardians are the stupidest mooks in the whole damn game. In a world with psuedo-telekinetic powers and hand grenades why would a man shuffling forward slowly, behind a hunk of metal be considered any sort of threat.

hey im not claiming its my style!! i had a buncha ref pics it literally was my decision to make it a funny curvy shape like a cartoon like dexters lab or something u know
Forth repost,
Since then it's been suggested that I get some people to co-commentate with me (majority still want it so I guess that's in) so when it's closer to the time I'll figure when the stream will start and if anybody is interested and has at least a mic feel free to contact me through Steam or PM.
On the subject of music, I'll hold off some requests from playing in the playlist until they are appropriate to play (Baby Blue, Bearforce1 and Heroes have their scheduled appointments) otherwise they will be shuffled so even I won't know which song will play next (okay maybe I'll know the songs in the playlist, just not the order). So expect iconic songs from the ME OSTs, Metal Effect, Harold Budd etc in the mix.
Here is a link to the survey, and if you have already taken it but want to add more things in just PM me with what you want and what you'd like to suggest.
Alright, got another couple of responses and I'm thinking of a way to incorporate one of the ideas suggested for the stream (punch and kill... last enemy onscreen I must rush them, knock them down and double tap?).
Still looking for somebody or some people to co-commentate. Whipping up a poster in a sec.

so satisfying to snipe them through their peepy holes
I think i've decided that after the next DLC comes out for ME3, I'm going to beat it with my current Shepard (the one i've beaten ME3 with twice now at this point), then I'm going to play that shepard's NG+ on ME1, on the hardest difficulty, and move it through to 2 and 3. All on insanity.

Whether you intended it or not it just looks like you couldn't figure out how to draw the same shape from two different angles and ended up with this weird lopsided floppy shape. It doesn't fit with the elegant simplicity of the rest of the picture and really brings the whole thing down.

Honestly what with how many different writers there have been on the Mass Effect games and us not having been there at the time, it's tough to make a call about why this or that was good or bad. Neither Walters nor Karpyshyn is what one would call a good writer (Karpyshyn's good at world-building but his books read like mediocre fan fiction). The best account of what went wrong with ME3 is probably Patrick Weekes's Penny Arcade post.

Drew Karpyshyn's original ending was basically copy/pasted from an anime called Gurren Lagann. The current one has a lot of similarities too, but it's dissimilar enough to get away with it.
Drew Karpyshyn has always been a good writer but I find that he writes books like fan fiction and he writes characters more like something from Joss Whedon. He's better with a team. Alone he's pretty meh.
