Oh, 94, then. I thought I got it mixed up with Human Revolution, guess they just got the same score.
It's from the Dragon Age 2 review
Nah, that was the score they gave Dragon Age 2
/shrug Didn't play.
/shrug Didn't play.
Trust me, Dragon age 2 was shit.
Trust me, Dragon age 2 was shit.
I don't think I'd go that far. It's just that the characters were shit and there was like zero strategy, which compared to DA:O would certainly make any game missing those things look terrible.
Anyone up for some silver? Origin = jechtman
I don't think I'd go that far. Yeah, she came out of nowhere, and was never heard of again, hopefully she comes back in Dragon Age 3
Yeah, she came out of nowhere, and was never heard of again, hopefully she comes back in Dragon Age 3
that's not the fucking problem the fucking problem is that a macbethian cauldron hag was turned into a fucking final fantasy villain with foot long hair horns i am demonstrating the fundamental lack of understanding in the core themes of Dragon Age displayed by DA2's developers FOR EXAMPLE, THIS
it was complete and total shit and a shame to one of the most story based open ended RPGs of the last five years
But hey! At least you could fuck everything.
Yeah I haven't really played it in a while so I've probably forgotten everything that was bad about it, but from the way everybody reacted you'd think it was poison. Also Hepler was one of the writers of Origins, so how just her being there counts as a flaw I'm not sure.
Bioware's art designers are like 50% good. It's like they fight themselves. There's amazing character design, like the Illusive Man and whatnot. And there's terrible, like EDI. It's like they decided to hire 10 amazing artists and 10 completely incompetent horny 15-year olds for their games.
But hey! At least you could fuck everything.
is this fucking dragon age or leisure suit larry

Seriously why are you getting up in arms about her 'cameltoe', it's just as bad as people who called scandal over me1's romance. [t]http://i.imgur.com/wMqTD.jpg[/t] obviously it's a robot, it DOESN'T HAVE A VAGINA. I think it's just a really creased suit and the space between her thighs is cramped and the suit bunches up on either side even if it is a cameltoe, who cares? it's such a negligible little detail i didn't even notice it once in my playthrough
is this fucking dragon age or leisure suit larry
jesu christ calm down
Also Hepler was one of the writers of Origins, so how just her being there counts as a flaw I'm not sure.
She didn't write the plot, she only wrote minor characters in Orzammar, the Dwarf Commoner origin, and the Anvil of the Void questline. You know, the one with lesbians.
is this fucking dragon age or leisure suit larry
Doesn't seem like there is much of a fucking difference there chief.

EDI 'needed to be sexy'. Fuckin' Bioware.
i thought edi's design was the dumbest thing ever until i played the game then i was like 'oh, that makes sense' still kinda dumb though
I really like EDI as a character, her body wasn't the best but I didn't see a whole lot wrong with it. I don't even think what people are seeing is even cameltoe, I think it's her ass cheeks behind her thighs.
The real problem with EDI as a character is that she's sexualized, the characters all talk about how sexy she is, and then it's just dropped. It's a plot element that should be a topic of discussion, how EDI views sexuality, the intricacies of her relationship with joker, and the symbiosis between man and machine in general instead that all boils down to two horrendously written scenes where EDI becomes uncharacteristically naive for no reason and joker mopes about how he's a cripple it was a risky move, not a bad one. they just fucked up.
EDI 'needed to be sexy'. Fuckin' Bioware.
It made sense in context, though. If anything you should be blaming whoever thought up the T-1000; they're pretty much identical in purpose.
nothing wrong with edi, she's about as interesting as joker so i'm not complaining. but rather than leave her as a disembodied voice, they chose to give her a sex robot body. that's a terrible idea in itself.
i thought edi's design was the dumbest thing ever until i played the game then i was like 'oh, that makes sense' still kinda dumb though
NOT HOW DESIGN WORKS you shouldn't need an explanation for a design to work, it should just work EDI's body should reflect her alien nature and her mechanical precision, whilst also showing her desire to be more human she should look perfect in form, but less emotive than an actual person, which is why i really like the version without eyes hell even that neck thing would make the current model 10X better
It made sense in context, though.
There was no reason for her to be sexualized in that manner. The T-1000's were made of poly-alloy, more 'creepy' than 'sexy'. A few of the concept pieces for EDI were practical, so you know they thought about it logically. Until they said 'let's get her to be Joker's waifu and have you play match maker'.
It's too over sexualized. Heck, the male crewmembers are turned on by it.
why does no one say "jesus people she's a fucking robot what the hell" you know, except javik.
Plus it was in all probablity partially designed by TIM, and who knows what the fuck he thinks of women in the future. [editline]2nd April 2012[/editline] I was not aware of that.
except it was designed with an epidermis so i get why she would look sexy while a person, but when stripped down to her endoskeleton? ehhhh
NOT HOW DESIGN WORKS you shouldn't need an explanation for a design to work, it should just work EDI's body should reflect her alien nature and her mechanical precision, whilst also showing her desire to be more human she should look perfect in form, but less emotive than an actual person, which is why i really like the version without eyes hell even that neck thing would make the current model 10X better
this makes no sense to me or at all
Why is the Krogan Sentinel so damn fun? And why does it have to randomly disconnect me after silver wave 9? THIS HURTS ME MULTIPLAYER
If you're not going around melee shit all over the map to whore kills then I guess it's fun, otherwise go fall on a banshee arm.

Heck, the male crewmembers are turned on by it.
But that's the point - the original robot doctor lady needed to come off as human. Her character required a sexy body, she was a robot assassin seductress (???) that needed to blend into humanity. That makes sense. that is perfectly fine design. EDI then used the body for herself and stripped it of all human paint, but it still has the shape of a body once required to fit in among humans. not to mention Joker was already pretty attached to EDI when she was the ship. of course he's gonna want to persue a relationship with a fully aware ai now that she has a human body. with something that comes naturally from joker's character, you need to have her be kind of sexy so the romance is identifiable and not a grotesque abomination. if she was a mess of cables and wires and box shapes, she would be pretty hard to take seriously as a character, she needed a body that represented the way players already saw her and how she already came across as a character when she was the ship. i think her body really fits her personality and everything about her new character came naturally and made sense and was appropriate but oh no a cameltoe!! isnt that only in the extra appearance that's just copied from miranda anyway? nobody complained about miranda [t]http://brainfuck.square7.ch/stuff/miranda/miranda.png[/t] you can see the beginnings of a cameltoe on her model too.
