Actually, I think it was calculated to be like 30 years, but then you have to factor in fuel, supplies, and drive discharges, so you'd definitely not be going in a straight line, especially considering there might be expanses of empty space to large to travel across.
i edited it because math i accidentally the distance with days rather than years
Codex says Reapers can travel 30 lightyears in 24 hours, twice that of Citadel ships. So yeah 12 was close enough. Although I guess 3 lightyears is a pretty big difference.
i was just answering lankist's answer to another dude's answer with what i thought, i dont know if that twitter was real but i do believe in bioware so much, maybe i've fallen into their hands or whatever, but i'll treat them as i'll treat valve, they're good until their shit is proven otherwise, i can't really dispute much shit in the first video then again, they could've been lazy as shit @lankist - maybe
valve never made dragon age 2
Codex says Reapers can travel 30 lightyears in 24 hours
I guess that means Usain Bolt will lay the foundations for the next cycle then.
You do realize that Bioware themselves have stated that their isn't more to the ending, right?
I seem to recall their twitter saying things will make sense soon.
valve never made dragon age 2
da2 wasn't that bad tbh, least it provided a stepping stone to da3 with plot shit man, you're so negative bro, why can't you be positive, just a videogame anyways lol i believe in the bioware until we learn that the dlc isn't real, i'll join your guys bandwagon
I seem to recall their twitter saying things will make sense soon.
Empty PR talk, nothing more
The Asari weren't close to building their own relay. Matriarch Aethtyta suggested they work on making Relays and they "laughed the blue off her ass".
well the protheans made one on ilos and they probably left some records to how they did it
Empty PR talk, nothing more
I guess we'll find out soon.
I guess we'll find out soon.
Nah b don't listen to the twitter they're just trolling yo the ending just sucks
valve never made dragon age 2
ep1. wasn't that stellar
ep1. wasn't that stellar
it did its job, pushed the story further and had some cool memorable moments, remember though that ep1 was a fairly small episodic game.
Well, even if the indoc theory is right, then my main gripes with the ending (lack of closure/ choices having no impact, etc.) will still stay the same, unless thy decide to add that, too. But eh, only time will tell
HOW DEOS REAPERS GET FUEL?
Nah b don't listen to the twitter they're just trolling yo the ending just sucks
Funny how your opinion went from "indoctrination theory is true, y'all are retards" to "the ending just sucks they don't know what they're doing". :v:
HOW DEOS REAPERS GET FUEL?
pffft its in the codex dummy
ep1. wasn't that stellar
Maybe, but I don't see people making a 640 page thread about how bad hl2ep1 ending was. :v: To be honest I've given up thinking about the endings until they announce what's happening, might start ME2 again.
Maybe, but I don't see people making a 640 page thread about how bad hl2ep1 ending was. :v: To be honest I've given up thinking about the endings until they announce what's happening, might start ME2 again.
I do, recall, the incredibly shitty ending to HL2 being retconned immediately in Episode 1, however.

Words. Simply says Raptor is won, prizes for all.
Operation RAPTOR SUCCESS! From: Admiral Steven Hackett, Citadel Allied Command Re: Operation RAPTOR Confidentiality classification: XA-PRIME Distribution: N7 Forces Only Soldiers of the Milky Way, I am pleased at the number of promotions achieved during Operation RAPTOR. The influx of veterans and leaders is already proving invaluable in our fight against the Reapers. While our comrades spread across the galaxy to carry on the fight, you must reconstitute your forces and bring new fighters to the fore. The N7 cadre has never been an easy calling, but your guts and determination have made you the most feared fighting force the Alliance has ever known. Prepare yourself; there will be more challenges in our future. Good fortune favors the prepared mind… and arsenal. --Admiral Hackett Congratulations on another successful N7 Operation! We had a record number of soldiers promoted last weekend: over 350,000, shattering our previous community goal of 150,000. Victory Packs and Commendation Packs will arrive no later than Wednesday April, 4th. Make sure to redeem them and begin training your new recruits. Operation Beachhead is scheduled to deploy next weekend, April 6th- 8th and will require expert trained soldiers to complete. Stay tuned for more information on Operation Beachhead later this week.
da2 wasn't that bad tbh, least it provided a stepping stone to da3 with plot shit man, you're so negative bro, why can't you be positive, just a videogame anyways lol i believe in the bioware until we learn that the dlc isn't real, i'll join your guys bandwagon
Beachhead will totally be about completing Gold games. Just you watch.
da2 wasn't that bad tbh, least it provided a stepping stone to da3 with plot
DA2 was godawful, and not only because it was the lackluster sequel to one great RPG.
ep1. wasn't that stellar
you're really comparing hair horn flemeth emo mage mclastboss tiny world-nanza to episode one dude it was a good fucking add on it had zombine
Words. Simply says Raptor is won, prizes for all.
I FUCKING KNEW IT. I fucking KNEW the community would at least double their 150,000 low low benchmark. And what do we get? A special bonus or treat on top of the commendation and victory pack? NOPE; we get a thank you.
ep1. wasn't that stellar
ep1. was ten dollars
Implications curious. Suggests that first content will be unrelated to ending. Presumably BioWare -now- working on the finale. Mordin voice.
the issue is that there's a hefty difference between traveling faster than light and getting anywhere. Traveling at the speed of light, getting to the closest star to Earth would still take 4.2 years. If I recall, Mass Effect ships can go something around 12 lightyears in 24 hours, which means the rough maximum speed is 0.5 lyrs/hr. It would take eight hours at this speed to get from Sol to Proxima Centauri, the CLOSEST solar object to our system. At this speed, you can cross ~4,300 lightyears annually (without accounting for stops, fuel, etc.) The Milky Way is ~120,000 lightyears across. This means, even assuming you have absolutely unlimited fuel, food, air, water, etc., it would still take ~27 years of non-stop flying to get from one end to the other. Add that, if you choose the Destroy ending, all Reaper-derived tech goes poof and you don't even have FTL drives anymore. As is implied in the Buzz Aldrin Power Hour, it would seem people just sort of gave up at that prospect.
Wait, are we sure that destroying the Reapers neutralizes the mass effect? If not, then all FTL should work anyway, save for the Relays.
