Look. We were totally happy with Steam. Everything was awesome.
Then EA got greedy and wanted to launch their own Digital Distribution platform. That's fine.
The part that makes me mad is they took Crysis 2, DA 2, and some other games [i]out[/i] of Steam and made BF3, ME3 Origin required.
They're forcing us to use Origin to gain more profit while making our gaming life more inconvenient.

Mass Effect has always been graphically adequate to me. Not the prettiest game, but not so ugly it compromises my ability to have fun playing the game.

It's a bug, I had that happen the first time I played each class. Afterwards it was fine.
If you mean rebinding, just exit out of the game, choose that class and play.
ANY class you pick after the FIRST one you played in your FIRST match will have Bugged hotkeys.

I'd do that but it's $80. Not sure if I want to drop that much on one game. I would however trade BF3 for another game since I already have it. If that is possible. So it might be worth it.

Because neither person should get the gimped version? We both payed the same price for the game why should we get the better version just because we can handle it?

It's quite fun.
The thing I hate about no holster is that I think it looks totally fucking retarded to be running around a level the whole time with a very static and focused "arms out" aiming posture without any threat being around. It looks awful to be walking over to your next objective after you took out baddies with that "HURR I'M HYPER FOCUSED" stance and look. See Deus Ex for a good example of what I mean.
In ME2 I'd holster all the damn time, because of the above, because it feels natural to do so, and helps me feel like I'm actually playing the game like I would if I was in their situation instead of making me feel like I'm just doing a generic flavorless arcade shooter (which lack of holster enforces).
It also doesn't help that you are all aimed and focused in with a terribly nausiatingly low FOV when unholstered, so fuck that. It also doesn't help that it makes it impossible to actually see your character as the bad ass he is in any enviornment because there's no free camera, and as such further disconnects you from the environment.

If holstering is what makes this game not a "flavorless arcade shooter" than the don't know what to tell you, cause not a lot of games I've played had a tight narrative where choices matter and there is true save importation.
