I can safely say that unless the expanded ending DLC is handled -flawlessly- (and likely even if it is), the uproar from this is going to be even more destructive to Bioware/EA's already tarnished reputation.
I can't see the ending working unless they do a near-complete rewrite from the magic platform of light onward. Either that or they could give us a paragon/renegade dialogue option and tell the SpaceChild to fuck off and we'll wipe them out the conventional way. Would still have plot holes, but there would be far less and it would be immensely more satisfying.

If the first video turns out to be true and the DLC follows this.. Bioware may have turned around a completely shitty ending into to a really clever one which only open minded gamers will have worked out in the first place.
