I really love how these community goals are set up. Have the event on the weekend, reward it midway through next week. So fucking splendid. Why should the players even get to see what they earned, and be able to use it on the weekend?
It was supposed to be given out today, you know that? I did. I knew it wasn't going to happen 'Tuesday' because I knew there were going to be so many people who participated, it would have been overwhelming. No fucking clue why they couldn't have handed the commendation packs out as the players earned them, and award the Victory pack whenever the goal was met.
Really, it seems like this entire system just sets you up for dissapointment. First, they set a ridiculously low goal for people to achieve (which I imagine was probably accomplished midway through saturday), and then don't take into account that the community may band together and double it. Do we get an additional reward for doing so? Nope!
Why? Not a clue. They can Hooray and Hurrah the community as much as they want, but unless they actually provide some meaningful reward for going above and beyond, the appeal will start to wear thin. I mean, will these operations actually contribute to the main story in any way? If they do, then The reapers are really getting the shit knocked out of them.
Let see; They lost over 3 million brutes 3 weeks ago, then got HAMMERED the following weekend as people racked in more XP, and now the supposed reinforcements of 150k turned out to be over doubt that at 350K.
And if this is really a Gold Operation weekend, they will get the shit knocked out of them even more.
Funny thing is, it doesn't feel like the community is advancing. I know its just a few weeks in, but lacking any real connection to the story or universe will just make it feel like we are running in place, and frankly, that bores the hell out of me.

they're completely optional events, and if you participate, you get a box with neat stuff in it
why are you acting like you're going through this immense task and getting no reward? it's all completely optional and the reward is well worth the like, hour of gameplay you need to do to get it.
it would be nice to get it on the weekend but who gives a shit, at least getting the crate during the week means we have something to do during the weekend and then something to do during the week, instead of just doing shit on the weekend and having nothing to do during the week.

Vanguards and Infiltrators don't go well together. Engineers and Infiltrators don't go well together either, since the Engineer has a ton of stun abilities.
