Sovereign has finger lasers. The best.
I don't know, maybe the glowing eyes signify a command unit or something, and there are other Harbinger class reapers attacking the planets of the other major races. Actually, which one is bigger Sovereign or Harbinger? I thought Harbinger was a shrimper reaper than Sovereign
Actually, which one is bigger Sovereign or Harbinger? I thought Harbinger was a shrimper reaper than Sovereign
Even at the ending of ME2 when you see all the Reapers heading toward the galaxy, only one has the big glowing eyes. Why would you only ever show one Reaper that looks like that, only show another that looks the same without bothering to mention that he wasn't the only one?
(canonically) they're all unique in appearance
Isn't it stated that it's only their core that's unique, and that the shell put around it is the same sort of style?
I wonder, if garrus dies in me2 who takes his place in me3 on palaven etc?
We'll never know, because no one will let Garrus die and import that save.
Isn't it stated that it's only their core that's unique, and that the shell put around it is the same sort of style?
look man all i know is that the fembot told me that they look different, maybe in codex entry 78-b paragraph 6 it states the exact science behind reaper formation, but i didn't read it. i just played the game.
Maybe just have EDI say she's too busy spinning Joker's chair around or something?
I could do one about pranks, yeah. That's not a bad idea. Joker and EDI play pranks on everyone and it pisses everyone off, and then they play pranks on each other and they're BFF's. I'm thinking about doing a couple pages about each character from the morality-tale angle. Dunno if I'll post those because I doubt the internet is interested in stupid pretend children's books.
I wonder if Harbinger is [sp] one of the old races that took control and had them "ascend" Basicly like a shepard reaper[/sp]
I wonder if Harbinger is [sp] one of the old races that took control and had them "ascend" Basicly like a shepard reaper[/sp]
I wouldn't be surprised if Harbinger is one of the first Reapers to be created.
I wonder if Harbinger is [sp] one of the old races that took control and had them "ascend" Basicly like a shepard reaper[/sp]
sorry, no lots of speculation there starkid says flat out that shepard was the first to reach the. . . wherever he was
See I don't really understand why they would look different. They are all built along the same general shape and guidelines, so what would be the basis of adding some little eye-lights that look purely aesthetic? I can understand them having different voices, them being sentient and all but I can't see them attaching things like stickers and more lights to their hull.
The shells have the same style, but if you look at the ME2 ending cinematic they all look different. Harbinger especially is pretty distinct with YELLOW GLOWING EYE-THINGS and the double-spike.
They underwent a conversion from organic to synthetic. When nothing but the base code of intelligence even resembles organics, they are now synthetic. They also rebelled against other organics in the galaxy, true for against their masters due to the Prothean imperialist attitude but also more in line with his ideas about organics and synthetics never being able to gain peace rather than any creator-created nonsense.Organics and Synthetics don't mix, even this cycle hated them with restrictions on extensive cybernetics and AI projects, even benign ones.
This cycle was wary because they thought they would "rebel" like the Geth. And you said it yourself, during the last cycle the Protheans were huge imperialist dickbags.
Alright, I have another question; Why is it that every species prefers to use the 'gun constructs itself upon unholstering it' technology? I means it's cool, but like the thermal clip idea it has some serious drawbacks. The advantages I see are that it makes the weapon easier to carry, in that it has a more balanced center of gravity when its all folded, and it would also be easier to store. The problem is that there is a fairly noticeable delay before you can actually use it. I'm thinking of scenarios where you're being overrun and either your primary gun runs our of ammo, or is knocked away; you have to wait for the damn thing to unfold itself before you can shoot, giving the opportunity for an attacker to dodge, or try to whack the thing out of your hand. Noticed this while playing, where switching between weapons is actually fairly slow and time consuming given how frantic combat can get. I understand that its probably a balancing thing gameplay thing, but story wise is it ever explained?
Less space is a pretty big factor when you're lugging around four firearms. Try carrying around a long as hell sniper rifle and assault rifle while they clank together and get entangled. Remember, they mostly unfold themselves in the time you bring them to your shoulder and start aiming apart from snipers, and snipers are hardly meant for situations where you need to fire in a heartbeat. Besides, guns still exist that don't fold. See: Phalanx.
Sovereign has finger lasers. The best.
Bioware was really, really inconsistent with the Reaper powerlevels. I guess the ninja rule applies, but still. Sovereign could fire dreadnought-raping tentacle beams, but the ME1 Codex said (yeah, in-universe I know but still) that its main gun was placed along the axis of the hull and THAT could rape dreadnoughts. Yet we never see it use it. In ME3 they DO use the main gun (maybe they were destroyers, hard to say with no proper size comparisons) but tentacle beams are apparently gone for good. But those two "spotlights" on either side of the big middle-tentacle are capable of firing beams now. And let's not even mention Sovereign's shields.
Just because we haven't been shown a reaper with those yellow eyes, doesn't mean another one doesn't exist. I mean if they were initially created by someone or something, you would think they were created for specific purposes based on their sizes and what not. So there could be other harbinger class reapers flying around elsewhere.
There is no "harbinger-class", just Harbinger. Harbinger is a sovereign-class ship, IE the standard big Reaper design that's two kilometers long. Harbinger may be a bit bigger (p sure it was mentioned in the Codex or somewhere in ME3) and that's because he's the ~proto-Reaper~ or whatever. Which also is probably why he looks unique.
And yet, even though he's the biggest Reaper and supposedly leader of the Reapers or maybe even the first Reaper, we don't even see, let alone interact in any shape or form with Harbinger in the whole damn Mass Effect 3. >_>
Because space kid makes a better villain!
Ah, the space kid. I wanted to kick that kid off the Citadel.
for 99K i got a super duper spectre jumbo pack what did i get?, 3 rockets, medigel capacity for one missions, two classes I already have and a scorpion this game must really, really fucking hate me
this hurts me shepard this hurts me :(
http://www.edge-online.com/news/jennifer-hale-weighs-mass-effect-3-ending
Hale says she knows nothing of what's coming in the new content that BioWare CEO Ray Muzyka says will address people's complaints over the game's ending. She hasn't been contacted by the team, hasn't had a recording session, or been given any indication that she will be needed for this new content.
Welp. There goes the last chance of the ending being significantly altered.
new ending=you get some paragraphs after the game explaining everything :v:
Now only $10! Given the outcry over the current abomination of an ending, I can imagine Bioware will set a new precedent with game development (specifically, it's acceptable to remove critical content if it turns a buck) if the DLC's a success.
http://www.edge-online.com/news/jennifer-hale-weighs-mass-effect-3-ending Welp.
not necessarily - shepard can still die for all i care. as long as it makes sense and gives closure to the other characters/universe.
I don't understand why they would show Shepard breathing in an ending, and then not shed any light on what actually happened. It just makes no sense.
Well, it really is too early for them to have started any significant work on it. It hasn't even been a month.
They could have begun work on an ending DLC before launch, maybe during certification or something
Now only $10!
I get something new like once every 10 spectre packs.
Well, I just read that EA won the Worst Company In America award. They've beaten freakin' Bank of America, and that shows something. Anyway, well deserved, they are indeed an awful company and for that they will be given the Golden Poop(seriously). The people running the competition even said that they may give them the award in 3 different colors! But it'll all be the same shit.
Traditionally, the Poo has been delivered on its little red pillow. But this year, we'll give EA three different color options for its pillow, though in the end it's still the same old Poo.
i just beat mass effect 2, now I have a hatred for Miranda. She's a confident bitch and a wanna be hero. It's her fault that Jack and Jacob died on me. I really liked Jack and Jacob, but nooooooo after Jacks loyalty mission they get into a freaken fight and I didn't have enough paragon to settle it neutrally so I scolded Jack. And at the last mission where a biotic has to hold up a barrier Miranda has to butt in and say she can do a better job than Samara. I was gonna choose Samara to hold up the barrier but I couldn't choose her IDK why, And that's when Jacob dies he holds off the seeker swarms cause Miranda failed to do as she claimed. I know alot of people already stated they're hate for her but now I know why they feel that way.
Heh, okay, didn't get the commendation pack, disregard my 6 promotes during the event.
