the mass effect core is what blew up in arrival
they no longer have their mass effect cores at the time they explode

Been discussed several times. There are plausible ways to explain it, but it's also shit from Bioware's side. anyways

If the space magic beam consumes lods of this energy so very little is left, and this causes the relay to become unstable and break apart, thus why it explodes but there is not that much energy left to annihiliate the system around it, thus a smaller bang. I went to play and it said it could not connect at this time. And to top it off, I can't play my singleplayer save because I own From Ashes and I have to be logged in to use it.

As I've said before, it's crazy that this is even a debate! [sp]If we go specifically by what we know of the lore, Shepard murders 75% of the galaxy at the end of Mass Effect 3. There is -nothing- presented by the game that shows evidence to the contrary so, sadly, the idea that the relays did not go supernova is pure speculation at this point.[/sp]

I'm not saying that the relays are batteries, I'm saying that the energy they currently have stored could be concidered batteries. They're reactors of some sort.

Have commendation packs shipped out yet? I still haven't gotten mine...
EA systems gone down or something? Was in a game and everyone disconnected, and then the main menu came up with a 'Server Fail' error message
