They better, it's fine if LOST had a explanation for what held the island together, to help stop the darkness from spreading.

I thought it was a giant electromagnet in a cave
To be honest, all I want to see is Shepard and Garrus in a bar at the end, but I don't think thats going to happen.

if it's gonna be a slideshow like in Dragon Age I could see that being one of the slides

Agreed I can understand that they don't want to change canon. The hints from twitter and other source seem to point to rebuilding mass relays and finding your crew, although speculation, I'd be happy with that.

I want to build a house with my bare goddamn hands for Tali.

Wow, I imagined it was just people projecting their meaning on some vague statement, but that isn't a freaking hint, that's just a flat-out statement.
I'm a bit more optimistic about it now.

Why has everyone ignored this? That is fucking brilliant.

Who is she and how can she just hand out info like this?
Oh god the dialogue between Liara and Matriarch Ayetha is hilarious, how did I miss this on my first playthrough... :v:
What exactly were people expecting when they hoped to have their actions in the previous games "drastically change" their ME3 ending? See, I never saw what Casey Hudson & co. said about "diverging endings" and "not being an A, B or C choice", so the thought never even crossed my mind. I'm trying to think what could have played out differently depending on your choices.

Maybe destroying or EMPing the collector base at the end of ME2?
Who is she and how can she just hand out info like this?
According to my bro, she's seen as Bioware's "damage control" on BSN. Apparently, they are all assuming that she's lying about this as she has apparently been known to lie in the past. Yes, even though the DLC is free and there would be nothing to be gained from lying.
At this point they're pretty much the opposite of biodrones.
As long as the relays can be rebuilt and [sp]all synthetics or partially synthetics, (Geth, EDI, Quarians) don't need to be wiped out in the destroy ending[/sp], I have hopes for this.
What are you guys thinking about the cinematic where Shepard is breathing? Is it somehow supposed to lead to new content, or just showing us that s/he's still a live?
That's silly if it's a DLC, because of the other colored endings, shepard doesn't always live/wasn't even on the Normandy.
To be honest, all I want to see is Shepard and Garrus in a bar at the end, but I don't think thats going to happen.
With Cheers theme happening at the end.

I think her title in Bioware is Community Manager.

Dragon Age Origins, Fallout type conclusion of how everything you did went once your story was over was what I expected.
That would be okay, if only they did that in THE ACTUAL ending it woulda been not as horrible.

Sadly, this is what happens when a company betrays their most devoted fanbase. I'm sure this isn't what Bioware/EA intended to happen, but they definitely could be handling the post-release outrage better in their PR statements.

This is the same person who said Normandy crashed on Earth.
holy shit i think i got a tripple kill with the sniper

She's a community manager for BioWare. Not sure about lying stuff, I barely know her.
[editline]7th April 2012[/editline]
Although, if the stuff Jessica mentioned is true, then at least there is some hope of salvaging the ending.
I'm hyped to play as the Batarians all we need now are some Innocent colonists to shoot in multiplayer for the full Batarian experience

Dunno if you folks saw this, but this was a PR statement in regards to the Extended Cut DLC:
"When you see the ending of Mass Effect, you now have the information and the context to feel satisfied," BioWare said of the Extended Cut which will contain a "considerable amount" of cinematic scenes that will hopefully clarify a few questions fans have.
BioWare wanted to "answer the questions" fans posted via Twitter, Facebook, etc. In fact, they even put a list together of the unknowns they wanted to address. To do so, they are "going to put the time and effort it takes" and are not going to "rush" it.
When asked why that content wasn't included in the game at launch, the dev team stood by the release in the core product.
"We're very proud of it," they said. "It was important though, for us to listen to the community, and community feedback obviously didn't come until the game came out. We couldn't have included it in the game because we didn't know there was a huge demand for it."
What, they didn't think there'd be demand for an ending that does what was advertised? Mercy me...
