we need to know what b•.•• is, then possibly log into that account and do the security question for that and see if we can guess it.
Guessing might take a while..
Doesn't UK have a website where you can look people up from the country?
Error proxy, what was the name he changed your account to? Cause if that's his real name then he's a massive idiot and may have just given us the information we need to track him down... [editline]8th April 2012[/editline] I'd say bt.uk, but I know BT use btinternet and btconnect not bt.uk...
He changed my name to John Ridly.
Can you link me to the origin account they got moved to?
Support wouldn't give it to me. I'll ask the guy again. I looked up his email on Origin and got this: Ivan Petrov.. sounds like a protagonist in a Call of Duty game.
Fan-made 'Reaper Victory' ending.
Does anyone know for how long these MP special deals last?
The only ACTIVE steam accounts under the name "gunjaman" are these two: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197999857931 http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197986251485 but that's still not conclusive evidence, his e-mail name could be different to his steam name (if he even has one), but i think the fact that both his e-mails are "gunjaman" suggests it's a common moniker that he uses.
Wait, what does Steam have to do with this? I found his Origin account. Can you do anything with that?
Nothing. He's just trying to find a connection. If the perp uses Steam, he'll be easier to track down. So far, we can assume that he likes to use "gunjaman" as a name and we have couple of his e-mails. John Ridly, could be a fake name. John is very common and Ridly could point out to Riddle, maybe he's trying to be funny. It'd help we can find out what @b*.** is exactly.
EDIT: Ninja'd
Wait, there is a guy called Ivan on Steam under "Gunjaman" nick. http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198010785090 He has no games and hasn't been logged on for 30 days. Could be our perp, the profile fits it. No games, long inactivity period, could be a scammer account.
I'm thinking if he's a big enough gamer to nick 4 games off you from origin, he'll likely have a steam account too. I'm just trying to find stuff to cross reference. If i start finding a few accounts with similar details, it'll get easier and easier to build up a picture of who this guy is.
No, he tried for Crysis 2 and Battlefield 3 as well but he failed. I saw his tickets. But he succeded in stealing my ME3. Success! But I want to bring this gunjaman13@gmail.com guy down.
Wait, I may have potential lead. The e-mail could be @bk.ru Edit: @bk.ru is a Russian mail service provider, Mail.ru
Totally missed this, but yeah that sounds more likely, but there are a shitload of people named Ivan in Russia...
Wait.. you're trying to find his address or something?.. we gonna send him millions of PizzaHut breadsticks or something? What can we do if Origin does nothing about this. Success!
Wait, I may have potential lead. The e-mail could be @bk.ru This is where Rastaman4Ever nick lead me to http://ahteam.org/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=3946
How is it that we know for sure he lives in Russia though? Well, besides his last name.. but we still may be going down the wrong path. [editline]8th April 2012[/editline] Use google translator.
Well, if we follow what we got up to so far, it all points to a Russian perp. It would explain John Ridly. John is the most common English name, and he misspelled Ridly. It's RidlEy. Could be wrong of course. Just trying to get a clearer picture.
So apparently, they don't give a fuck about the hacker. Shall I pry some more or just go vigilante as we are right now? [editline]8th April 2012[/editline]
Well, if we follow what we got up to so far, it all points to a Russian perp. It would explain John Ridly. EA ARE THE HACKERS :tinfoil: I don't what's going on here.
Okay, I see. That sucks.
Get as much info as you can, we have fuckall right now, and we'll end up reporting him if anything anyway. I don't wanna go all 4chan and send pizza to his house or w/e.
Ok. Well.. they disabled the game on our perp's profile. But we still need to stop him and these guys aren't doing anything.
I think it's definitely him. Gunjaman@bk.ru exists. His phone number starts with +7 (960) 254-
I think it's definitely him. Gunjaman@bk.ru exists. His phone number starts with +7 (960) 254-
How can you be so sure? So basically we assumed he lives in Russia because of his last name Petrov. and we assumed gunjaman13 is just an alt account. Are we sure about this?
The number is a cell phone. It's from a Russian Mobile operator called Beeline. http://mobile.beeline.ru/
How can you be so sure? So basically we assumed he lives in Russia because of his last name Petrov. and we assumed gunjaman13 is just an alt account. Are we sure about this?
His password recovery account on gunjaman13@gmail.com is gunjaman@b*.** Through various means, let's assume he is Russian. We found that there is a @bk.ru e-mail with Mail.ru service provider. I looked it up, and there is a gunjaman@bk.ru on their servers which points out to what I said on previous two posts. Ivan Petrov may no be his real name, but all of the evidence so far, have pointed to a Russian origin.
So which Steam profile do we report?
How did you find that out?!
The password recovery thing for gunjaman@bk.ru. It has two password change options. Answer a secret question which is "What is the name of your dog" or use the cell phone number for an SMS thingy.
So which Steam profile do we report?
I don't think we have enough solid evidence to do that yet. Don't want to report the wrong guy.
Ridly. I bet the dog's name is Ridly.
Try it. [editline]8th April 2012[/editline] Wait, what if he's in UK: http://www.youtube.com/user/RaptureFm/featured
Man, this is some of that internet sleuthing shit. Good work guys!
Shall we ask 4Chan for help?
