jechtman, are you streaming javik shepard tonight? if so, i am excited
50 mins, that was such a good sleep it cut into my Alan Wake time. Same place as always, livestream.com/jechtman
hm okay, I must have forgotten that particular exchange, it's been forever since I played ME1 and he's not completely lost his mind, true, I mean you can convince him to kill himself
yeah, he maintains a good part of his rational self, and can at least muster the ability to off himself because he knows he's ultimately wrong [sp]same with illusive man in me3[/sp] i think this speaks to a greater point, though, which i just realized, that if the two proponents of control and synthesis are able to bring themselves to kill themselves because they realize they're wrong, only destroy is left i think that alone is justification for destruction being the best option sorry for bringing it to an irrelevant level but this idea just popped into my head

You know, the ending choices might not have been so bad if they had been introduced in a less retarded way. And if there was some sort of satisfying final boss beforehand. Also, the whole mass relay network being destroyed might have been interesting if it had also been presented better.
I live in California and its Monday April 9th at 2pm. Resurgence Pack comes out in maybe 10 hours likely more.
final boss was originally the illusive man turned into a reaper creation, but it was too "video gamey" so they removed it i think it would've been kinda cool
really? that's... interesting I wasn't really a fan of either Saren's final form or the human reaper in ME2, and a load of people said they thought the latter was completely ridiculous so it's fairly easy to see why they didn't do it in the end
final boss was originally the illusive man turned into a reaper creation, but it was too "video gamey" so they removed it i think it would've been kinda cool
I think it's better to see a character have a gradual breakdown than turn it into a simple case of "shoot it until it stops moving"
final boss was originally the illusive man turned into a reaper creation, but it was too "video gamey" so they removed it i think it would've been kinda cool
Actually, that sounds rather stupid. One thing they did right about the ending was making the Illusive Man confrontation a conversational battle. The best thing about the Illusive Man was his charisma, not his combat prowess. There still should have been a sweet boss fight though. And then have the decisions presented in a less dumb way. On another note, I'll admit I am interested to see what happens after controlling the Reapers.
7 days after first contacting EA Support about not receiving my Raptor Commendation Pack, I get this
We have already forwarded the issue which you are experiencing in the game to our game developers and they are trying to resolve the issue as soon as possible. To be honest with you, as we do not have any exact confirmation when the issue is going to be fixed, I will not be able to commit any specific time regarding resolving the issue. However, I want to assure you that the issue will be resolved at the earliest. We need your patience till the issue is resolved.
Every agent has told me to check back in a few days, this one finally just says, don't check back because we don't know what the problem is or when it will be fixed. Oh well, I guess there is always the next operation to do, and hope that I get the commendation pack for that one.
Well I kinda finished Javik and am now using him for the stream's offline screen.
that final conversation with [sp]Anderson[/sp] was fucking heart rending fucking jesus christ, god damn it, I don't have enough expletives
to all of the above points, i agree with all of you the illusive man's gradual breakdown was convincing, and in a way, tragically beautiful. he was such a composed man, so in control and convincing, but to see him crumbling under himself was terrifying the human-reaper was kinda meh, i remember thinking "dude what" when i saw it me2. it came out of left field for me, and it left a slightly bitter taste in my mouth the conversational battle between shepard in the illusive man should've been expanded upon imo, though, they could've done so much more with it. like, you could've joined up with him and controlled the reapers, or you could've turned him to your side and gained cerberus support for the final battle i feel like it could've been executed better

also the whole earth assault was harrowing in ways I didn't think were possible. it really felt like a slog, my balls pretty much permanently retracted while I was saying goodbye to all my squadmembers
saren wanted synthesis, the conversation he has with shep on virmire pretty much proves it he tells shep it's the next stage in galactic evolution, which he believed before he was really indoctrinated plus you could also say that he has most of his normal functionality because he isn't a husk, because sovereign needs him for a greater purpose, and he therefore thinks for himself
Actually, I was under the impression that once Saren realized we couldn't defeat the reapers he just wanted us to surrender rather than slowly die out, allowing him to be an easy target for indoctrination. Once again haven't played ME1 in a long while, so.
Why does he have parkinsons?
If that was the case then everyone on the cartoon Ed Edd 'n Eddy has Parkinsons.
also the whole earth assault was harrowing in ways I didn't think were possible. it really felt like a slog, my balls pretty much permanently retracted while I was saying goodbye to all my squadmembers
isnt this a good thing
