I usually don't mind inventory management in games but in ME1 it was fucking awful
i remember in my most recent playthrough i had gotten a quest specific item (those gas grenades for the thorian level) but they got converted to omni-gel because my inventory was fucked i had to kill those poor colonists :(
Might wanna go check the dialog again, cause A Shep != humanity in that scene and B Sovereign didn't agree to jack shit.
Saren said 'we' can prove useful, and I'm assuming this applies to the galaxy at large. He never said anything about Turians specifically. Also, it's not beyond the realm of possibility that Sovreign agreed. I mean, the Collectors are basically just Protheans re-purposed to serve the Reapers. That's what Saren was aiming for.
The RPG elements in ME1 were great, except for the goddamn fucking inventory and everything related to it. Seriously inventory management uughgghghghg
I actually really preferred ME3's levelling-up and equipment system. Gave every weapon a purpose, and made powers far more tactical than ME1. Just opinion of course.

I've played Mass Effect 2 + 3 and I recently started playing the first ME and already a few missions in it has given me a feeling that the other two haven't, and I do not regret not playing the first before the rest.
Does anybody feel like ME1 had the best story writing? I mean it's not just about getting introduced to the universe, there was a lot more sidequests in it. I still remember missions that were possible to pick up on some planets, those actually had some plot behind those. It also felt more rewarding on the RPG-side. You had to plan all your skill investements because you couldnt have a refund. It was also fun upgrading one of your weapon trees to get a death machine in the end. Also what happened to explosive rounds? Those on a shotgun were fun as hell.
Mass effect 1 felt like it was the most story driven of the 3 games. The squaddies had their own little side stories but they were just that, side stories, in the end it was all about Sovereign and Saren. 2 was all about the inter-character relationships, then 3 kind of returned to 1's more centralized plot but still focused on characters. Of course, it suffers from the most plot holes, etc of the 3 anyway.
Part Two done. How ever will this situation resolve itself? I guess we'll find out when I finish Part 3 whenever the fuck!
ur characters dont have a likeness to their game counterparts at all
I was kind of mad when i found out that ME2's level cap and ammount of skills were narrowed down to about half. Sure some of the new skills were fun but some of them were useless (like concussive shot, didnt really do anything else than push enemies, had a lot of recharge time too).
As a Vanguard in ME2 I can personally say that Concussive Shot is amazing. It isn't like ME3 where you can just charge in and Nova everything to death. You had to set up for charges. Concussive Shot is super effective against biotics and unshielded enemies. Coupled with Heavy Overload on the right targets and you can set yourself up for an extremely effective "charge and sweep". Garrus + Miranda for Vanguard Squad is practically fucking unstoppable.
ur characters dont have a likeness to their game counterparts at all
uhh excuse me but i am taking artistic liberties okay because i am an artist and i have a vision
I played as soldier the entire series and CS wasn't that good for me.
Yea, because you're a soldier. Soldier's hang back and shoot the fuck out of everything. A Vanguard has to get in close to make use of their shotgun and Biotic Charge. Concussive Shot, Overload, Warp, Reave, all these skills get very important because they either zap shields, zap barriers, or stun enemies so you can charge in.
uhh excuse me but i am taking artistic liberties okay because i am an artist and i have a vision
wait weren't you the same person who made those mass effect ms paint cartoons?..... because those were incredible :")
wait weren't you the same person who made those mass effect ms paint cartoons?..... because those were incredible :")
actually those were maintained by a highly sophisticated computer algorithm whose output was overly complex dick jokes and literal potty humor. thats why they looked uglier than my taint. its not because im a hack. i resent the allegation.

what the fuck some of these people have saved up millions of credits in anticipation of this dlc how the shit
Wait a second, shouldn't the DLC have come out by now?
so can any of these new update guns be obtained in single player? because if not i give cero fucks about all this
Wait a second, shouldn't the DLC have come out by now?
technically yes, but it'll be out soon they're giving us a ton of content for free, i'm not going to get upset if it's delivered an hour or two late when everyone is normally asleep
I actually didn't mind Ashley at all in ME3.
Oh come on she's still a massive cunt in ME3 take her to the ardat-yakshi monastery mission, "hurr those asari commandos must been such cowards they ran away" when the commandos knew they were gonna die and thus set up a path for you to use
Bioware should make the Krogan Vanguard able to grab bigger enemies, or at least resistant to grabs.
Oh Australia.
Oh Australia.
Oh wow.
time to go to sleep, i see no dlc
Don't know wtf is wrong with my mass effect 3, I backed up saves, uninstalled the game, reinstalled, I did do that part on what was said in the forums to fix it, and delete the local profile. But still doesn't work. Game doesn't run at all. But if it's because I have to wait until the new patch arrives.
Sweet, I did an entire Gold-thing without using cover once [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/44722719/sweeeet.jpg[/img_thumb] I'm DanielBolstad, but the team was great too. Each person did their part even with the lower scores. Decoys and whatnot, very nice team.
Sweet, I did an entire Gold-thing without using cover once
... How.
... How.
Lots of tactical cloak, a decoy and a wall corner I could just stand behind. It was so effective, my health bar never dropped below max, my shield dropped once or twice throughout the match. It's a cheaty tactic of sorts, because there's a perfect place to camp on that map throughout, but it wouldn't be possible without a good team either.
